- The cast and creator of "The Sopranos" reunite 25 years after the show first premiered on HBO to discuss the success of the six season show and how streaming has changed television. “Because of streaming, it’s all over the world. More people watch 'The Sopranos' now than watched it when it was on originally,” actor Steve Schirripa says. NBC’s Tom Llamas reports for TODAY.

And Borko’s clips keep the fans happy too
I want to retroactively get Borko into the show itself.
He's the serbian Machabelly
Borko is G.O.A.T.
You don't ever admit the existence of this thing!!

You never contemplated that? The back thing with Notre Dame?
Great call back!!!
It’s crazy how Robert Iler is now the same age as James Gandolfini was in the pilot. Where’d the time go 😢
*turns to dust*
That's incredible. He looks twenty years younger though. I remember being astonished to learn that Gandolfini was born in 1961, he looked at least ten years older than that, and that was before he put all the weight on.
Jesush. That's a eyeopener. You tell no one.
Older actually
That's dict up!
"Remember when is the lowest form of communication" Tony Soprano

Just watched that episode the other day. Tony is so annoyed at Pauli in this episode 😅
@@MrStevo626 not annoyed, he just finds out that paulie has a loose mouth and talks a lot and that he was the one singing everything to new york
I just finished this show in its entirety about a year ago. I honestly think this is the best show ever created. Phenomenal acting and writing.
Yup
Ikr
Just finished it last month. I can't recall another show I was so invested in, both story and characters.
The Wire is #1 for me and The Sopranos is #2. Even IMDb has The Wire at 9.3/10 and The Sopranos at 9.2/10
just wait for breaking bad
I'm on my third rewatch on Sopranos now. Gets better every time!
Only 3rd?
Those are rookie numbers
it's great Iv'e watched it about the same amount of times, since it was released over the decades. And rewatching it in different stages of you life it hits differently each time, you may see the characters differently, situations that go from tragic to hilarious or vice versa. What makes it an incredible show,
I only watched the pilot episode so far. I've heard good things about the show for many years though.
Never watched one episode. Gonna start today

I have currently been binge watching the Sopranos for the first time ever. I am blown away
Enjoy. It’s an unforgettable experience. DO NOT look up ANYTHING having to do with how it ends.
I just finished now, and watching all these BTS and interviews😅❤.
It's phenomenal
You will find yourself binge watching again and again.. it’s incredible
I watched two times
They better release a full interview, this was not enough!
The epitome of lightning in a bottle. This show was absolute pure magic. In my opinion, there are very few shows that have come close to capturing the brilliance that The Sopranos caught.
no shows compare
Not seeing Edie Falco or Michael Imperioli there makes it look weird.
What’s up with that?
they always been there for the reunions, both prolly got too occupied for another one
Or Van Zandt
or Loraine….
They were probably busy with projects they are working on.
Meadow was a huge crush for me when I was growing up. She is still sooo gorgeous.
Uncle Junior still looking healthy!! God bless

Kinda weird but I don’t judge. When’s the wedding?
One of the best shows in the history of television, yet each and every member of the cast maintains a humble attitude, no
arrogance, just appreciation for the experience. Pure perfection.
Met Dominic 2 weeks ago in London after his show. What a gent
The first episode of each new season was watched at a different friends house every year. Man did we get into that show. Whoever hosted would fix a meal that ‘Carm’ had done. Or ‘Artie’. Good times…
I'll never forget The Sopranos. I was 12 when it debuted and it was the first mature audiences TV show that my parents actually allowed me to watch with them, and we all got hooked together and watched at 9pm every Sunday until the series finale. I was just about the only one in my class who saw the first 3 seasons, but when high school rolled around and we were in seasons 4-6a everyone in school watched and everyone talked about it Monday morning and if you didn't watch Sunday night it got spoiled for you. I graduated before 6b began. Unironically, I moved out of their house the Friday following the series finale. I actually waited until The Sopranos ended to get my own apartment because I knew I wasn't going to be able to afford a premium cable package lol.
The sacred and the propane!
So i remember the show from europe still, i grew up in poland, i then moved to bergen county nj and it was awesomeeee to see 90% of the filming locations within 30 minute drive
One of the greatest ever!!!! Can’t believe Junior is still alive kicking! Love to see it!!

Best American TV show of all time. Hands down. No contest. Legendary unforgettable show. Years later people still watch it and talk about it.
I agree. Better than any movie in past 25 yrs for sure!
The Wire just entered the chat.
@@patricialavallee8286 yup. So many memorable moments man. I get nostalgic just thinking about it. I was in my Early to mid teen years when sopranos was still on the air. Now I'm 32 years old. Man time flies by. I've grown and evolved as a person so much since my 15 year old self. anyways it was an awesome 👍😎 show. Respect and nothing but prosperity to the cast members and the writers and directors for creating this masterpiece of a show for our entertainment.
@@waxmandr yes the wire was good show from the few episodes I've seen. I guess you really have to relate to it on a personal level to get into like that. For me that show was the sopranos. Sopranos was just special man. The dialogue the crazy and intricate characters. The crazy plotlines and stories. The character growth and development. The insane and funny moments. All of it was worth watching. I never felt like I wasted my time when I watched the sopranos. I always learned something new.

"Because of Borko...More people watch the Sopranos now than when the show was running."
I literally just finished watching the entire series a couple weeks ago… again! Such an amazing series!
I can remember how excited my parents and their friends were to watch and talk about this show when I was younger. I am so glad I waited to watch it when I was in my mid-30s. I feel like you have to be out of and distant from adolescence to truly understand and absorb everything on the show. If you’ve never watched it do it now, and also do not look up ANYTHING to do with how it ends.
It really changed the game as far as TV dramas go. The comedy in the show offsets the darkness and the constant undertone of melancholia, one of my best, even after a re-watch.
25 years?! Where does the time go
20 years in the can and not a beep
The good ship lollipop
When they go??????
The original Sopranos is the best tv show of all time, no question about it in my mind. It's a shame that "The Many Saints of Newark" was a flop. Not one of David Chase's best moments.
Yes, sort of like Godfather III, which was better than Ambien as a sleeping aid.
I wish my dad had lived to see The Sopranos. He would have loved it. He was 100% Italian 🇮🇹

James was the spirit of The Sopranos and the rest of the cast supported him to make the show one of the best series if not the best series ever made. Great acting, intense and dramatic suspense in each and every episode....always had you at the edge of your seat.

The legacy of the Sopranos will always live one. By all means. We all family here even when we are young, old, and new. Lets never forget this.
just when i thought i was out.. they pull be back in
The success was down to a couple of three things, the writing, David Chase and James Gandolfini.
And, the rest of the cast was perfect, in their roles. We will never see this again.
If you grew up in New Jersey, especially in the areas of Bergen, Essex and Hudson Counties, it’s terrific seeing Tony, Carmella, Paulie, Christopher and Uncle Junior and the rest of the wonderful characters of “The Sopranos,” enjoying life in the great Garden State.
The dude on the today show rewatching the sopranos is Mark Ravenhead from Succession
Jim was amazing
Its so nostalgic watching this too makes me think of those chill days back at my grandma house and other times

The BEST show of its time & then some
I’ve said it before . I was an 0311 Active Duty Marine during the shows height . If we had the means and time , we would all gather around for the lastest episode , a much needed diversion in those days . I’m 45 now , and when I hear the theme song , I immediately go to another place . I thank all the cast and writers , they will have no idea how far reaching the show made it . We never had the makings of a varsity athlete , without yall .
