      @@barssogatlar7347 I don’t recommend installing a decat slip on without a map. You would definitely need a servo motor bypass without a map. You will experience idling issues and the air/fuel ratio will be very lean, resulting in future engine damage. V4 are delicate engines. You need to take care of them or they won’t last. ✌️

      @@madmotobg Nah... no need. The UpMap will handle any error codes from a missing servo. Coincidentally, I left mine attached because there is no harm in leaving it installed. But yes, you can remove it AFTER your UpMap is completed.

      @richlee1969 2 місяці тому

      @@madmotobg Yes you can. The servo eliminator was just for your exhaust system removal (error light). The UpMap eliminates the need for the servo eliminator plus it's giving you race maps that Gabro created without the need of a servo eliminator. The UpMap will also put your front signal lights in your headlights so that you can remove your mirrors without errors.

    • @ALFAVITAGA

      I should be using earplugs to protect my ears but I’m not. But I’m former military and my ears ring 24/7 anyway, so I figured how much worst can I make them. If your right ear feels like its being penetrated by the sound and it hurts, definitely wear earplugs. That happened to me when I installed the CRT on my RS660. I went for a ride and I couldn’t ride as my ear was about to bleed so I bought earplugs. But after a few weeks of wearing earplugs I decided to stop wearing them and in a surprising way my ears never hurt again. I either got used to it or I damaged them even more lol. Either way I never wear earplugs anymore. ✌️

    • @ALFAVITAGA

  • @MrSoHansum

    Is there a Cat or mid pipe that can be swapped out between the headers and slip on? Or is it just headers straight into the slip?

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  9 місяців тому

      There is no cat in the mid pipe. The cat is integrated into the stock slip on. Once the stock slip on is removed, only the header pipes are left. Then the aftermarket slip on goes directly on the end of the header pipes. Essentially a “straight pipe”.

    That is basically no muffler and is blowing directly to the rider feet/rearset. It looks clean and pretty tho.

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  Рік тому

      This exhaust is designed for motogp for the front two headers only, while the rear headers exit under the tail with a CRT type muffler. It creates a double 2-1 header setup to compensate for the short rear header distances. It’s the header distance that matters more for scavenging rather than the muffler restriction. But in this stock form it’s a 4-2-1 header system and it strips it of power a bit. Not much just a couple of HP. But Ill trade a couple of HP for the best looking exhaust on the market. Also, the gases do not hit your foot on the peg. ✌️

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  10 місяців тому +1

      Performance wise, the price is not worth it. You wont gain any more HP than a $300 slip on will give you. At a similar price you can get a full Spark Konix system. But no exhaust will look or sound as good as the GP22. Thats where all the money goes. It’s a marketing product. It’s overpriced for the ones that are willing to pay for it. Thats why you don’t see too many.

    You should have worn rubber gloves. If you don't now clean the pipe and clamp with acetone your finger prints will appear after the pipes get up to temperature. You can also remove red loctited bolts by using a heat gun or for really stubborn bolts a butane torch.

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  Рік тому +2

      Yes for titanium I always clean it with isopropyl alcohol before I start it. For the red loctite bolts I don’t have a torch or a heat gun, so I just break them loose with the impact wrench. Not ideal as it can break the bolt, but it does the job.

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  Рік тому +1

      Thank you! I almost always use gloves when I work on bikes, but when I use gloves I have no feeling of whether my fingers are greased or not. Meaning Im more aware of my dirty hands if I don’t wear gloves and Im more cautious how I handle the titanium exhaust. That way if I do smug the exhaust I will feel it, whereas with gloves I wouldn’t. Regardless though, before starting a titanium exhaust you must always clean it with isopropyl alcohol to make sure it is spotless. Congrats on your Speed White!! ✌️

      Yes I wiped it down with isopropyl alcohol. I didn’t go for the full exhaust because it would cost an extra $4,000 just to save 2lbs of weight. The stock headers don’t weigh that much more than the titanium headers. And if its not for a race bike, $4k more for 2lbs less is not worth it. • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  7 місяців тому

      You know that makes no sense to me why. All I know is that I had reports of it blowing a fuse when starting it without a tune when removing the stock exhaust and I was not willing to find out. My guess is that by removing the stock exhaust, with it the exhaust valve and servo cables are removed/disconnected. The ECU probably reads the AFR that the new slip on creates and tries to adjust the exhaust valve with the servo cables. The ECU now thinks that the exhaust valve is adjusted but there is no change in AFR. This probably throws an error. Thats just my guess. But you can always use a servo eliminator bypass until the tune is installed.
