I’m filipino and have been raised in the US. You inspire me to start learning how to speak tagalog and kapampangan so I will be able to talk to my grandmother more who has dementia, so hopefully she will be able to still understand me when she starts forgetting more english. You can get really world class medical care in the Philippines,but I have to admit bias about this,as my oldest brother-in-law and sister-in-law and their daughter (my oldest niece) are all doctors;all three went to UST.
Usually good doctors are in private hospitals, which is too expensive for a common Filipino

I'm a nursing student and I think healthcare for poor people is pretty good in rural areas. Barangays have their own midwives & scheduled doctor availability. Kids receive free immunization, vitamins & deworming. Some hospitals & clinics are pretty decent, at least in our province I think.
I recently went back to the US and spent 3 weeks in the hospital. My gross bill was over 500K USD and Medicare paid all but 3.5K USD. Medicare would have paid 100% for 30 days in a Rehab Facility but I opted to stay in my US home with a private Caregiver which was a former HS Classmate who wouldn't accept payment. I am 72 years old living in San Fernando Pampanga for 15 years. For future medical care, I have decided to stay in the Philippines.

my dad died because of a bad doctor. he had liver cancer and his relatives brought him in that doctor because they wanted his money. and also they stole OUR insurance that my dad saved up for my sister and I. Also they stole our plot of land and dads belongings that were supposed to be ours. not to mention, that they WANTED my dad to die. they FAKED caring and some of them stopped caring until after he died, they were all FAKE crying in the funeral, and after that, they spent most of dads money and used all his things, like expensive sunglasses, clothes, and devices.
edit: and now her practices are being shut down, and shes desperately asking the president for help, but he's not responding to her lol. karma
but my dad's family is still not giving away our money :(
I love your optimistic attitude towards Philippine hospitals but the reality is compared to other Asian countries the Philippines is always towards the bottom of the list when compared to Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia for good healthcare generally speaking unless you want to pay through the nose for expensive healthcare let's say in a place like Makati. Some of my Filipino friends will fly to Thailand just for a medical procedure because Thailand has medical tourism market which is very well-regarded around the world because of the professionalism and competency I found it better than even being back in the USA. the Philippines are great and the people are wonderful but not exactly the place you want to go for a medical procedure is my point
my Doc charges 30 bucks just to walk in the door, and that's with insurance

You mentioned your experience with the bad pediatrician and you didnt name him or her.. Whereas yeng told everything and even showed her face and name to her vlog making that doctor so vulnerable. her srory was only one-sided thats why later she managed to hear the other side coming from other people and ahe realized how bad her acrion was..

Healthcare, just like anything else in PH, is very good only if you can afford it. Life is good here in PH if you can afford it. But its true too that compared to other countries, everything is cheaper here with the same quality as other countries. Because our salaries are not as high as other countries as well so it just makes sense that products/services are cheaper here.

This video is really good. I know that healthcare in US is not the best but I never knew that it was that bad. I mean they obviously have better equipments and stuff but the cost really makes a difference. Looking forward to more content, Mr. Kraft. :)
My dad had a motorcycle accident and the bill was 45 k and because of the health insurances we only paid 3k + hudden charges
