The girl in the middle (the third one) 🤣 as soon as it was suggested that she could have been American, she took the accent and ran with it 🤣🤣
Hahahahah I'm from Philippines and also I notice😂
Really, but i same with her when i speak in English with someone.. It make me different from others and boost my confidence 😂😂.. ❤❤
I think American accent more easy than UK accent even though in Malaysia have a few people use UK but for me i better USA accent.. So overall its our comfort to use some accent.. Don't compare to others.. Try to open ur mind baby❤❤

So Bangladeshi people spoke with British accent but nowadays they speak both. It's neither American nor British. It is called mixed accent. In Bangladesh, written English is dominated by British English but accent is controlled by American English superseding British English

The Indian and Filipino girls were consistent.
They were not faking their accents so she figured them out easily. She guessed them in two rounds.
Personally, I love how South Africa reads in English.
Indian did fake it at the beginning yet she guessed her Indian ass and then she stopped fakin it knowin she can't sound American or English 😂😂😂
The Bangladeshi girl also wasn’t faking accent
It just we naturally got that mixed accent
Indian english accents are so different... The indian girl tried her best to be us or uk accent
@@tajbirulalam6316 she didn't.. there are various types of Indian accent coz we have so many languages in india
It is important to note that the Indian English accent can not be easily stereotyped or generalised . India is linguistically rich and diverse country ,with multiple regions contributing to the overall tapestry of Indian English.India s linguistic diversity is reflected in the various English accents found across its regions .Each area has its own distinct characteristics influenced by the local languages spoken .
The English spoken in southern India often carries influences from Dravidian languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam . The accent might include rolling "r" sounds and specific intonation patterns.
Northeastern India ,with its with its array of languages such as Assamese,Manipuri and various tribal languages ,English here often features softer tones and sometimes a more rhythmic intonation ,influenced by Tibeto Burman linguistic traits.
Northern India, with languages like Hindi , punjabi and Urdu ,tends to have English accents influenced by these languages . Common features include clear enunciation of vowels and certain retroflex sounds.
In Eastern Indian states like Bihar, West bengal and Odisha ,English accents may be influenced by languages like Bhojpuri ,Bengali and odia . This often results in softer consonant sounds and unique stress patterns.
In Western Indian states like Maharastra and Gujarat where Marathi and Gujarati is prevalent ,English accents might include flatter intonation and distinctive pronounciation patterns .
These variations make it challenging to stereotype a single " Indian English accent ", as each region contributes its unique linguistic flavor to the way English is spoken.
Yes true.
Still you can tell who is Indian by their accent 🤷♀️ unless they went to international school where they studied in certain curriculum ( British or American)
Not trying to stereotype but Indians do have thick accents in few words, neither it’s American nor British, it’s something Indians modified after speaking English for quite some time ( as your school curriculum mostly in English) like V, W, R etc sounds can be easily detected.
But most indians mostly speak the stereotypical indian english, which enforces the stereotype even more
@@SadiaIslamShouki You should discover more about it. Discovering the English accents from regions like Nagaland ,Mizoram, Manipu, Meghalaya and Arunachal pradesh will be an eye opening .
@@lakhyasdiary5762 Well, as non Indian who grow up watching Indian content, whether Movies, dramas, interviews etc( I am fluent in Hindi as well) This is what I noticed, People who speak good English in India has a particular accent.( particular words they say are very common)
Yes, of course people around the region will certainly sound different. because of their own language but still certain words, they tend to pronounce similarly. Manipur, Nagaland etc people have a different tone (their hindi has this tone as well, because their own language has this tone)
In my country, areas like Chittagong and Sylhet have totally different languages which is quite different from Bangla, so when they talk Bangla, you can guess where they are from, because of their tone, they are pronouncing every Bangla word very clearly and properly yet when they gather all the word in a sentence, you can see the tone, you can differentiate the same tone in their English too. They pronounce most English word as they are( USA/ UK) but when they say a whole sentence you can see their country tonality in it.
Malaysian English and Singaporean English are almost the same. We used to be one country, and both countries have the same ethnic groups (mainly Malay, Chinese, and Indian). However, there is no single specific accent for the whole country because it depends on the person's social background. Depending on whom we are speaking to, we will adjust our speech to make it easier for the other party to understand.
As Amanda explained, she is Malaysian Chinese but grew up speaking English in her household. So, it's not weird that her accent is not influenced by Chinese. Since American movies and shows are more common here, we actually speak in a more American way than British, even though we learn UK English at school.
twotec-9s who are you to judge? You are just insecure of her anyway
And do they all speak in the same accent? I doubt it
You don't because I am talking about more than just your so-called Malaysian friends

I missed Sophia and her soft and cute voice, South Africa was the random country considering the others are from Asia 😂
The Indian has a very different accent, it's like Nigerians you recognize the accent from afar, but the South African is also obvious that she is African from her voice and the way she speaks, I recognize the way an African speaks from afar, it's generally different. Even some Africans born in the diaspora have a particular voice (I believe it is linked to the way we make various sounds)
The indian has a very indian accent. So Idk what u are talking about. Are u not indian?
Actually we don't sound how Americans portray us ..Also we speak different languages so our accent is also different...Indians also have different accent which is different to each other in India .... Her accent is most common accent in India especially in North part (because east, west, northeast , south people have different accents in english and it's not necessary their language will influence their english language)
That's 💯 an Indian accent

I thought she sounded like how Pakistanis speak English.
As a British Bangladeshi, whenever I go to Bangladesh to visit, the people who speak good English sound exactly like her (except for the old people, who sound like Shashi Tharoor, lol).
Really? My accent is almost exactly the same. Literally everyone I know speaks like that. Except for my dad's generation and previous generations of course
@@safsta786 that's the thing actually i will say its much more complex than just one accent one nation. in Bangladesh, it's more like mixed and everyone have kind of their own twisted English version.
I can't praise you enough AQSHA. You are favourite . Thanks for your explanation to the people out there. Keep shining girl.❤
South Africans typically have different accents if you hear your South African friend sounding like something the next South African might sound like from a different country
Agreed. I'm South African and because my mother tongue is English, I sound like I'm from the UK. However, if you speak to someone who speaks Afrikaans as their first language, they tend to have a bit of a Dutch accent. Of course it also depends where in South Africa you live; there's variations in accents between Johannesburg and Cape Town for example.
I'm South African. Gaga sounds like she has a private school education.
Fellow south African here and yeah it depends on what part of south Africa you're from, accents can vary a lot. Mine for example can sound more British sometimes
Great channel in this world many thanks ❤😊
14:48 Correction: English is not the "second" official language in Bangladesh. Constitution of Bangladesh doesn't mention any kind of official languages, Bangla is given the "national language" status. But English is still very dominant, higher education & legal judgements are given in English. Traditionally British English & orthography is used, but Gen Z feels more comfortable using American English (including me). Love from BD❤️🇧🇩
Sorry not similar to India; Article 343 of Indian constitution says there is no national language of India.
@@garnedmatser sorry I never read the constitution of India. Last time when I had seen the Wikipedia article on India it was written national language as Hindi & English.

Yeah, Malaysian's don't sound like that when they speak. She's trying so hard to assert the American accent impression and try to hide her origin's typical accent. Malaysia's more of British English because of their colonial past.

All of these foreigners except the Filipina are from UK 🇬🇧 Commonwealth nations. Thus, they learn derivatives of British 🇬🇧 English.
Aye, lads! Ye ken, it'd be a real hoot if we all got together an' changed up the ol' English, ya know? Fer too long, the English-speakin' countries ain't been doin' a bang-up job at speakin' the lingo proper, an' that's just a fact, ain't it? Just take a gander at the Epi/Ef 2023 data, an' y'all'll see what I mean. Now, let's not fergit 'bout our Germanic mates over in Austria, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, an' the Faroe Islands. An' y'all know what's a real knee-slapper? Judgin' the English of both Anglophone an' non-Anglophone countries on World Friends an' other Korean channels. It's a real hoot, an' it's fluid, sensible, an' democratic, like.
The paintin's are just goin' 'round in circles, with nary a lick o' creativity or science to 'em. It's pure madness an' boredom, an' it's time fer a change. The paintin's need to evolve, not just sit there an' stagnate.
It's just not right that countries that can't speak English proper are givin' their two cents on other nations' English. It's not fair or reasonable, y'all know?
So, let's give it a shot, lads. We're askin' with all our hearts that y'all change this, an' we'll be yer best mates, like, not just fer this channel, but fer all yer sister channels too.

Do you have nothing else to do with your life other than go into every comment and defend that girl as if your life depends on it?
As for the accents, I clearly gave my example as to defend her in one way and then argued that it couldn't be used as an excuse unfortunately since she spoke with HER malay english accent (keyword: HER) at the end of the video. So why would she use her LA accent during the guessing game? Because she wanted to trick the player which is not the point of the game. If everyone began doing what she did, then good luck figuring out their nationalities. She clearly has her own accent in malay english but she didn't use it for that specific purpose. I don't need to know Malaysia to speak up about that. And she didn't talk about Malaysian accents at all, she only mentioned how Malaysia is a multicultural country. And omg, that's crazy. It's like no other country has different accents depending on the area, like woooow that was sooooo hard to guess!!! Bravo mate, maybe you should be awarded or smth, no?

She doesn't even know much about the chinese language lmao. Oh and I never intended to speak for malaysia, nothing suggests I did.
