Rode streamer x, OBS v30 beta. First stream i ever did and no prior experience!

Realtime “instruktion”/freestyle on how to set up streamer x with OBS. It’s a bit slow but think you should see me going into deep water handling something for the first time. i’m new to the streamer x, obs and streaming. when your completely new to all facets of the proces, programs and devices there is so much to joggle. It was messy but it worked!
Adding scenes and cameras and using your pads on the streamer x as scene switches.
This is how I will use it. I think it works great. You can mix audio and video from multiple sources and apply luts in real time and record it on a harddrive.
the new scene i set up is not as loud as the other scenes audio. I forgot i boosted the sound on them 10db. didn't do that to the new scene. But when you make your first scene you can copy your devises to other scenes instead. This will copy all adjustments and luts to.
i used the v30 beta of obs because it works better when using obs as streaming software and as webcam. you dont need plugins for that now. I did need the midi plugin for the pads still though. but as a new user of OBS and the streamer x i figured it all out over the course of one day. And i just wanted to show it live and authentic.
i will make a clean cut instruction on how to install Obs studio and set it up with the streamer x an a second camera video that can assist this messy stream. From install to stream. but i kind of think they work well as a pair. Me not thinking about adding a new scene will make the stream go black and silent….. until I ad video and sound to it. Among other realisations making me stop and head spin a few times. When I’m live you can only follow what is in the scene I stream😂 the other scenes are not at your disposal . Again first stream😆
This device is awesome. And for an old guy never having streamed before, installing OBS for the first time a week ago it went extremely well.

Its me trying streaming and this setup for the first time ☺️ taking that into consideration I think it shows how powerful and straightforward it is 😊 but you also see where you can mess up being new to streaming 😂. Thanks for watching ☺️
