My favorite thing is the feeling of community, COVID changed so much in my life and flosstube gives me the chance to feel invited into someone's home for an hour. It is truly an honor and something I look forward to with every video.
Always great to see and spend time with you two! I like EVERYTHING about watching FT! I enjoy seeing kitted projects, wip’s, FO’s, FFO’s and hearing about plans. Some haul is always fun too. I love it that most FT’ers are multi-craftual and just really love texture, color and making things. I love all of that! Happy stitching!
Great video, Ladies! Watching flosstubes allows me to see new patterns and fabrics others are using. I think Vonna and Helen D offer great education on how to finish our projects, too. Since I don't have stitchy friends in my area, I feel the flosstube stitchers I watch are my people, so I don't feel lonely 🤗
I love that Begin Row, I think I will have to look for that one also. my favorite thing about watching floss tube is that I get to see patterns I’ve never come across before and also sometimes learn new things.
Seeing others accomplishments. Seeing others haul and WIPS. No local shops here. Those are my favorite things about watching floss tubers. Love to see your knitting too though and the crochet.
Thanks for sharing. Happy New Year! Braid. My favorite things about flosstube videos are seeing new ideas and tips. I also like checking in to see what my stitchy friends (whom I've never met) are doing and what's going on in their lives. It's a visit with friends. I don't have any stitchers near me.
I always love your videos! Your question of the day is always interesting and I like your summary. I enjoy Flosstube because I see what others are stitching, and I learn about new charts, flosstubers, products, and ideas.
My favorIte thing about Flosstube is meeting new stitchers and finding new friends❤ (and being asked to participate in answering a question or sharing advise.)
I love watching Flosstube because I get to see everyone’s beautiful work, and so often the wip looks better than the photo on the pattern. I love to have jelly on my biscuits in the morning, might need to test out making a braid in my hair today
The National Parks quilt is beautiful. I think I would write the year the park was visited on the block with a Micron pen. Flosstube keeps me company while I stitch in the evening, and I get pattern ideas and tips for finishing.
My favorite part of flosstube is hearing the accents from around the world. My husband will walk through the room and I’ll tell him I’m in England, or Australia, or Scotland, or Ireland, or Texas… And sometimes they will have pics from their area. Fun, fun.
As a viewer I feel like I know Flosstubers as friends as well. It feels like a one on one conversation. Probably what I like the most is seeing what that person is working on and their progress each time. Learning about the new fabrics and threads and of course purchasing them when I love them at first sight😁. There’s always humor when there are two doing a video. I’ve gotten many laughs just from yours! Until next time, happy stitching!
I'm loving all the floss tubes :) I'm only a year into my cross stitch journey (quilter for many years) and when I met your mom at the shop and she told me you had a floss tube I was thrilled! It's like I now have local stitchy friends lol. My favorite thing is learning new things and seeing new patterns. I started out doing stitching with the housewives patterns never thinking I would ever enjoy samplers...and now I'm looking at all the samplers lol. Thanks for all you do! OH! and we are big campers so seeing the National Parks Quilt was AWESOME! I ordered the panel and will get it done before this camping season starts for the hubs. He'll love it!
Happy Birthday Carol, how nice that you enjoyed it very much!!! I enjoy all the video, but New things is my passion. Beautiful finishes!!!The quilt is awesome!!
Happy Birthday Carol! I love the quilt you made for your son-in-law! My son would love a quilt like that! I think I watch flosstube for all the reasons you both mentioned. I started watching flosstube about 4 years ago. I stumbled on it by accident when I was looking for cross stitch items. I initially watched flosstube to see what patterns were out there that people were stitching on. I still like it for that reason, but now I enjoy watching it for finishing ideas and tips and tricks about best practices for stitching or stitching tutorials or how to make floss conversions, etc. I love the interaction with fellow stitchers as well😊. Flosstube is great company while I stitch. Have a great couple of weeks, ladies!
I watch flosstube because I enjoy watching what other people stitch and getting a peek into other stitcher's stashes. I'm happy to watch people stitch designs I never would, like HAEDS, and then I don't feel a need to stitch them. It also makes me aware of products and supplies I somehow missed along the way.
I have to agree with you on my favorite thing about flosstube is seeing the variety of patterns everyone is working on. I love seeing the new and old patterns. See ya soon.
For sure, its all about the friendships we form. I usually stitch while I listen, with an earphone, to flosstube and it keeps me company while hubby watches hockey or football on tv. jelly
For me, the best part of Flosstube is getting to know other stitchers. I don’t actually know any stitchers ‘in the flesh’ so Flosstube is the next best thing! Also I don’t have an LNS and do my stash shopping online so I love seeing what everyone is stitching and hearing about different fabrics, gadgets etc. Thanks for all your hard work in putting your Flosstube videos together - much appreciated!
I like to watch flosstubes to see patterns I haven’t seen before, and to get inspiration from the way other stitchers change the colors of floss or fabric
I love the tips people talk about on Flosstube. Little things that you say, I never thought of that. Plus I feel like you are my friends talking directly to me. Chris
My favourite thing about watching floss tube is stitching along and seeing charts, fabrics, threads and new designers. No LNS here and no stitchy groups that I have found so great to see things I would have no way of seeing. It's very good for gathering info as I have learned about things like WIPGO, 123 stitch, WIP Warriors, zoom meetings like Across the pond stitch & chat . I would have missed these wonderful things if I hadn't heard about them through flosstube.
I just want to start so many project that flosstuber are working on. Also I love watching while I crossstitch, it's like having friends here with me. Thanks for the visit I enjoyed your video, see you next time
One more comment: we have an automatic feeder for our cat precisely for the reason you mentioned. The feeder goes off at 5:30 am, 10:00 am, 4:00 pm and 9:30 pm. Cooper also gets treats throughout the day. He no longer wakes us up early and can hear the feeder from upstairs. Good luck with your kitty and feeder!
I mostly watch flossTube because it provides me with a community to stitch along with. There’s also the added bonus of discovering new patterns & supplies to add to my wish list ☺️
Flosstube: 1. Enabling and ideas. 2. I feel like I can try new things (linen, overdyed floss, silk, etc) 3. Something to entertain me while I stitch and the hubs is watching sports. I can watch FT while he watches sports and I can still sit with him. 😊
I love Flosstube because I can stitch and hang out with friends. Wire Keychain Cable I have been using for 5+ years. I had several accidents with the binder rings and I swore I was going to find a better solution and did. I love the rice bag trick. Both the braid table runner and Jelly are beautiful.
I really enjoy watching flosstubes -- and knit-tubes and quilt-tubes. But there are more flosstubes than the others. I too get tempted by patterns; good thing at least one of the vendors I frequent has a 'Wish List" feature! (When I watch knitting podcasts I always have Ravelry open to the 'pattern search' page!) It's all good.
Hi ladies. My favorite thing about watching flosstube is all the originality and talent that people have. I also like all the gadgets that go along with it.
I watch Flosstube for the company and all the new designs and fabrics. I don't have any stitching friends, so I love hearing others talk about their love for stitching.
Another wonderful video! Thank you! My favorite thing about watching flosstube is the new ideas, patterns, flosses, finishes, etc that I see. I feel like you are here in my living room stitching away with me. In the morning I like apricot jelly on my toast. 😊
Thank you for another fun episode (and I love the way Carol managed to get her v-word in there!). It's always a hoot to see what y'all have been up to! One favorite thing about Flosstube is the stitchers making the videos. I've gotten down to a very few Flosstubers I make a point to watch consistently and those are the ones whose personalities shine (to me) the most. My other favorite thing is the inspiration. Sometimes I am like Carol and stop the video to go order a pattern, but equally often, I decide to try a new technique or hunt up an old WIP because someone has shown something cool. One example -- in 2023 I made (and hit!) a goal to sew a quilt top -- because I watch you two and Sew Me Sarah. 😀
I really enjoy seeing someone dig in on a project and watch it progress to a finish...like that 'forever in peace' flag, beautiful! Equally, I love a good life update. Even seemingly mundane stuff, like weather, Roombas, and what the dogs are doing...just those glimpses into your lives are just nice to hear about. Love what you guys bring!
In the morning I will braid my hair and put jelly on my toast. My favorite thing about watching flosstube is that I feel like I am checking in with friends. And in the case of you two I love your relationship. It's fun to see a mother and daughter who are such good friends!
Love your channel; I just happened upon you all while I'm stitching and hoping our terrible weather will soon change. i have returned to cross stitch after over 25 years and am amazed how the craft has changed. It's great that you'll enjoy each other so much share your love for quilting as well as cross stitch, etc. Look forward to seeing what you have the next time you are online.
I primed and painted my sewing studio/bedroom. Pulled up rug and liner. Put down tiles. Now, I am having trouble finding places for all my quilting items, diamond painting, and counted cross stitch and knitting
Hello Jen, thank you so much for the mention. I had talked about you on my flosstube channel congratulating you and your mother for reaching 5,000 subscribers. The second time was to talk about your national parks cross stitch pattern. And lo and behold, I tune in last night to watch your latest video and I see the national park quilt your mother made! My daughter has decided to have her wedding at Glacier National Park in September. Both she and her fiance are avid hikers and campers, and I wanted to make something to give to them that would represent their love and passion for the outdoors. I love watching your videos and am entertained by your banter. The reason I love watching flosstube, and why I decided to start a channel, was so I could connect with other stitchers. Even though I only watch people through a computer screen, I feel that I am sitting right there in front of them. This community is truly like a family 😊
I have been watching your videos for quite some time and really enjoying them. Apparently, I need a star ornament kit in my life - I am now going to order one! Watching flosstubes gives me ideas for what I would like to stitch or not stitch. They give me a sense of connection with others who enjoy stitching. I especially like flosstubes or knitting videos with mother and daughter duos. My mother encouraged me in all things fibre related from an early age. She was always so interested in and supportive of all of my various projects.
Okay, returning here from the Finish Parade: What a wonderful gift the National Parks quilt is! My husband and I are also on a quest to visit all of the parks. I have the same panel and also wanted to figure out a way to note the year we visit each park --- make machine embridery decals maybe? We've only been to two so far: Acadia (twice) and Great Smoky Mountains. Our plans this year are to go to Shenandoah and back to Great Smoky Mountains so we can check out some of the things we didn't get to on the first trip. We'll also probably go back to Acadia at some point so we can stay on the Schoodic side since we've explored the other two parts already. Favorite Things About Watching Flosstubes: 1. As a relatively new CS-er (started in 2022) all the tips, trends and introductions to Flosstube channels I don't know about. 2. Definitely seeing new patterns or new ways to color or finish patterns I already know about. 3. Background white noise as I am quilting or stitching.
Hi Carol and Jennifer, good to see you again. I watch because I don't know any stitchers. I feel like I'm having a small get together with friends when I watch while I stitch. I also get ideas for new patterns and finishing techniques. Happy Stitching and Quilting. ❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing! Hands down, my favorite thing about Flosstube are the friendships I have developed because of it. I enjoy watching flosstube to see all the variety of charts and fabrics and flosses and finishing and FFOs. 💚💚💚
I hope you saw the snowman wall hanging on Recovering Monogamous Stitcher. She gave all the pattern information. Thought of Carol immediately. I’ve already commented that I enjoyed your video.
I particularly enjoy flosstubes with two people for the give-and-take and often the chuckles or loud laughs. That said, there are several stars that run solo flosstubes that I look forward to watching as well. Learning about new fabrics, patterns, finishing, etc. has been wonderful - everything you both said. Since mid-November I have been on a buying freeze. Not that I was spending that much, but this time is a time of reassessing. I am not a big fan of long parades. Don't know why. Perhaps because I find them exhausting. And in the past month, there have been way too many. IMHO Thanks for another great flosstube!
Thank you for the update, ladies. ⚘️ My favourite part of watching flosstubes is getting to know how other people plan and stitch (I learnt from reading kit instructions and love stitch with me videos).
Most definitely in the hup club after a hiatus of 30 years I have a lot of catching up to do. Plus who knew about these awesome project bags???? Omg I want them all!! I’ve been stitching for about 2 months I think. I already have 6 projects and six bags. Oh my goodness flosstube that’s new to me, pdf patterns! Changing colors and sals. It’s a whole new sport. 😂
My favorite part of watching floss tube is seeing all the different charts, fabric & floss people use! I have picked up so many new ideas and new ways to stitch and finish things! I’m usually a rule follower so I used to stitch the pattern with the called for fabric & floss and stitched it in it’s entirety! Floss tube has taught me that you can change colors, type of floss, color of fabric, only stitch a part of the pattern, etc! It has really widened my stitching world! Another great video! I enjoy you guys so much and always watch your videos as soon as they are posted!
I like watching floss tubers that have similar styles to my own to get ideas for color schemes and pattern designs. I’ve been stitching, quilting, doing embroidery, and crochet for more than 50 years off and on, but I’m never too old to learn a new technique. And there is always the feeling that you are sitting and stitching together. Happy stitching!
The quilt is amazing- I’m not into camping but I am a conservationist and very interested in the history of the park service. I am definitely a member of the HUP club, but more for fountain pens than my cross stitch stash. I am probably $$ with my stitching but $$$$$$+++ for fountain pens and ink. Greetings from a fellow (soon to be 50) Leo❤ looking forward to watching more videos
I absolutely love the flexible key rings for my floss. I used to use the metal rings but the flexible ones are so much better and I have my daylight lamp with a hook my husband put on that I hang my floss on that I am working with and they fit so much better. My favorite thing about flosstube has always been seeing so many different patterns and I have done the same thing so many times Carol - pausing and buying the latest things but since I am in a stitch from stash year my new favorite things is seeing the creative finishes so I can expand my repertoire of finishing techniques. It's been 18 days and no purchases yet (I think that is some kind of record for me) so we will see how long it lasts! :)
My favorite thing about flosstube is the inspiration from seeing what other makers are making! I also just enjoy the "company" when I'm stitching. Some, especially if there are two, are very entertaining and make me laugh. (You would be in that category). I had to stop this video and go order that knitting book for my daughter. I will give her a hint that I love the hat you made for Jen out of it! Happy crafting, ladies.
I love my flexible cables for holding my floss, I also go luggage tabs that are large enough to hold an index card (I like the vertical ones) that I write my project details on and then when its done (not that I finished that many) I can keep the cards as a log of what I accomplished.
I'm doing the Lunar Climate Chart 2024 by Forbidden Fiber Co. It came out last year, so it's been modified for this year. Every day is the phase of the moon with the color per the key. I'm really excited to do this chart, and have thus far been keeping up... well, I'll get it caught up Sunday at our local stitching meet up. There were 3 ranges: Hot, Varied, and Cold. Since I'm in the PNW, and the weather is fairly steady, I'm doing the Varied highs and will be using all the colors. It DOES get over 98 deg F a day or two here in Seattle, LOL.... Here's to a New Year full of promise, starts, WIPS, FO's and FFO's!!!
My favorite thing about FlossTube is definitely seeing new charts. I’ve had a Roomba for a while and my dog doesn’t like it, but he hates it less than he hates a regular vacuum. A word of warning. A friend ran his at night, but his dog had a little poop accident and when they woke up the next morning Roomba had painted the walls, furniture and everything else with poop. Total nightmare.
I just finished that same panel into a quilt for my Grandsons for them to put patches on from any park they have or will visit. They are 7, 12 & 16. They weren’t impressed. Stay warm and stitch.
My favorite thing about flosstube is the community and being part of it. I also like seeing finishing ideas because that’s my weakest area of stitching.
Thanks for all the Information you two share...love seeing all your quilts and patterns...thanks for the sweet visit❤❤
I love seeing the new patterns and getting ideas of what to stitch from watching flosstubes. Braid, morning, jelly
Great video. Thanks ladies. Always a pleasure to watch you in the morning while I have breakfast. Keep flossing x
Great video, Ladies! Watching flosstubes allows me to see new patterns and fabrics others are using. I think Vonna and Helen D offer great education on how to finish our projects, too. I love to have jelly donuts in the morning. I love watching the two of you. Thanks for another great flosstube.
What I love about watching flosstube is the inspiration - it motivates me to try new things.

My favorite things is seeing all the different projects. I get to admire pieces that I know I would not stitch.
Santa’s House stitchery is so pretty. I love houses.
I don't have anyone that I stitch with and since I normally stitch while I listen it's like stitching with friends.
Happy birthday, Carol! We love Rocky Mountain National Park.
In the morning I got up and made a Jelly Braid! Love your floss tubes!!! I love watching floss tubes to get ideas on what to stitch and how to finish
I just want to start so many project that flosstuber are working on. Also I love watching while I crossstitch, it's like having friends here with me. Thanks for the visit I enjoyed your video, see you next time

She was always so interested in and supportive of all of my various projects.
Beautiful quilt behind you.
I love watching Flosstube to see all the things you buy and stitch. It’s like having a lot of fun stitchy friends🫎
Favorite Things About Watching Flosstubes:
I usually learn something new and how to do different things.
You spoke of your room, I understand your issues. I have the same issues.
My favourite part of watching flosstubes is getting to know how other people plan and stitch (I learnt from reading kit instructions and love stitch with me videos).
Love visiting and seeing your stitching. My favorite thing is seeing what others are stitching.
Love seeing all the projects. I'm going to get the tree pattern from bent creek. Jelly
I love watching flosstube because I can see new patterns and accessories. Also I enjoy seeing my returning friends.
The National Park quilt is phenomenal❤
My favorite part of watching floss tube is seeing all the different charts, fabric & floss people use! I have picked up so many new ideas and new ways to stitch and finish things! I’m usually a rule follower so I used to stitch the pattern with the called for fabric & floss and stitched it in it’s entirety! Floss tube has taught me that you can change colors, type of floss, color of fabric, only stitch a part of the pattern, etc! It has really widened my stitching world! Another great video! I enjoy you guys so much and always watch your videos as soon as they are posted!
My favorite part of watching videos is seeing all the potential stash acquisition candidates....lol.
“HUP” is so funny
I have that tape dispenser too.
I love seeing what you have stitched. I love to see what people are stiching , new patterns.
Great stitching and quilting as always. Loved seeing the different Lizzie Kate series. Have a great January!🎉
Hi Jennie and thanks for sharing your fountain pen hobby - that's cool!
I just started my first temperature chart .I got a turtle one but I decided to do the cat one 😅
18 days is a great start!
I’ve been watching you since you started your flosstube. I love the patterns you share but I also love seeing all the finishing ideas!
Thanks for watching since the beginning Barbara!
I love to see new patterns too.
I had biscuits with jelly this morning. Nice video. My favorite thing about watching a FlossTube is seeing finishes.
Enjoyed your video as always. My favorite national park is Acadia in Maine (and Yosemite)😊
Love Acadia and hope to get to Yosemite soon!
I love my flexible cables for holding my floss, I also go luggage tabs that are large enough to hold an index card (I like the vertical ones) that I write my project details on and then when its done (not that I finished that many) I can keep the cards as a log of what I accomplished.
That's a great idea!
Flosstube gets me excited about stitching. I love seeing the different products, projects, and finishes!
Hopefully they will come to love it over time!
My favorite thing about flosstube is the community and being part of it. I also like seeing finishing ideas because that’s my weakest area of stitching.
