One of my favorites of his! Absolute S-Tier artist. Spirit World Field Guide is a no skip album.
No skips… it’s like the opposite; you have to listen to each song twice because they increasingly blow your mind.
I've never related more to a song than 1 to 10.

Aesop Rock is worth the pauses! Great reaction, i always enjoy it when you dissect Aesop. He really demands that his audience meets him where he's at and engage instead of the other way around, and I've always admired that about his music. Fun Fact, Os Mutantes is a Brazilian rock band from the 60s. Probably a double!

Condor Palma Serpiente are the three things represented on the national flag of Mexico, not really sure how that plays into the rest of the song with most of its other references taking place in other South American countries, Peru specifically.

Ayahuasca was first used in Peru. A buddy of mine went to go through the experience, something people from states have been doing to go on these trips. They are suppose to be theraputic, but the first part is misery. People puked, cried, etc. They hold them for several days. People say its very thought provoking/life changing

a lot of the lyrics to this one are actually pretty literal. he included a bunch of anecdotes from his trip that have a kind of "you had to be there" quality. it makes it feel very specific and personal.
