      I did the same on my bike. Great idea. I also bought extra straps to fit between the tank and upper frame bar with jam nuts. This took the tention from pulling the studs out of the tank.

    5:31 When you change the chain tensioner to the one that’s connected to the engine, you are supposed to take more links out of your chain. so the reason your chain was bouncing around so much was because your chain was too long.

    Cheapest mod to a motorized bike is to Port the Cylinder, and take the head and just sand the head down by a half inch and your increasing compression.. You will drastically increase Horsepower, how do I Know? Well my last Gas bike 66cc HT kit did 45mph, with 8,000 miles on it drove it a year, daily. The bike itself is modified to be lighter with a chromoly frame, on triple tree with Magnesium wheels, but the Engine was a China zebay motor 38mm Zae80 crank with a 47mm piston high hole, it ran 27mph max breaking in when it was retired it ran at 45max, on the stock Exhaust and a replaced(3rd) NT Carb not Jetted. You CAN get 40 MPH on stock parts, I opened the transfer ports, intake port was widen and lowered exhaust was slightly raised and widen 1" both sides inside and half a inch outside, Porting matching on cylinder to Crankcase as well. Its kinda like an experiment, but if you mess up and port too much risk a cylinder cracking or making a hole but you gain so much by not even changing the jets, by just taking off the head and I used permetex black gasket sealer along with precut gasket sheets I get from auto zone to close it up and it ran like it was being chased by devil dogs, also I drilled a 1/4" hole in the other side of the exhaust baffle to release the gasses quicker and it improved acceleration as well, Truly tested tips right here. And I'm on my second gas Bike kit running those big Bore 100cc(actually 78.6cc) gas kits, great acceleration and I broke it in doing 42mph flat paved road when it barely had 140miles.
    PS. I didn't port the big Bore kit (T-100 Zeus) ,it was difficult and it looked like it was already pre ported to allow the piston rings to flow correctly.

    Thank you! Well done and clear. I have come to the same conclusions as you. So nice to see someone riding with the original chaintensioner, which I do as well. I completely agree with the carb. The original was just not good enough. Precisely like you say, it will hold for a while but will never be quite good.
    Thanks again, I hope you keep it up.

    Nice job on the video. I started out using the 36 tooth sprocket, thinking since I'm in Florida, relatively flat and all that it would be a better choice. Nope. Top end speed suffered due to no throttle response. My 195 lb ass was too much weight, so installed the gear that came with (either 41 or 44 tooth, I forget now) and much better top end performance. Also running a #66 jet which seems good but I have not yet tried other sizes, so...

    • @joerillarilla8524
      @joerillarilla8524 Рік тому +1

      Sir with the 44tooth standard rag joint sprocket. It will give u a faster offline start by switching to a 36 it will give you more top end if that did not happen for you it is because your carburetor is not tuned correctly there is no way that can happen without something going wrong with your air mixture. Oregon could be as simple as bad break in and you got a crappy engine but if you're noticing more speed you do not have the right jet or you have a vacuum leak it could be a few things 44 tooth off the line speed 36 tooth top end that is the bottom line keep in mind we're talking rear sprocket now you can change the motor sprocket I think I've given you enough to think about

    • @Jarrod_D
      @Jarrod_D Рік тому

      @@joerillarilla8524 with a 56 tooth sprocket the motor will spin up to 7000 rpm and make 21 mph with the 44 tooth 5500 rpm 25 miles per hour not air leak lack of compression I think i gave you enough to think about 💥😁👍💥

    9:25 ... It's creating a pulse in the intake, much like a reed valve does...except it provides fuel vapor as well under vacuum... It's basically an intake resonator, if I'm understanding it's function correctly.

Soon as it starts up the engine is already in motion to go without me using the throttle when I squeeze the clutch the engine shuts off when I open the choker to give it some air engine shuts off.why if you don't mind me ask? When it does start up it stays on for a few then shuts off on its own

    If you install a snug fitting o-ring into the bore of the carburetor where the intake goes and then apply just enough pressure to slightly compress it as you're installing the carburetor and tightening the mounting collar, it will greatly reduce the possibility of a vacuum leak. A common o-ring with rounded shoulders might work, but an o-ring with a flat mating surface that perfectly matches the flat mating surface at the end of the intake is ideal.

    I got a Gen 3 Prius, but did not notice the roof is not as smooth as a Gen 2, and I think mounting a solar panel on it is going to be way too hard. It seems like the Gen 2 was so smooth you could put big panel on it. I have seen mounting options that make it interesting, where you mount the corrugated insulator to the car and have bolts thru it to mount the panel to, so if the panel ever goes bad, it is easy to replace. I have just seen it on campers though, I wish someone like you stuck with the Prius/car camper videos and projects ;( People living in the cars should be bigger than ever and those people need these videos. It can change the quality of life for so many people. I am sacrificing a 2015 Prius to make a demo camper to promote better options for homeless people, but I am not handy and need people like you to inspire and teach. I already promote you as my inspiration as I am starting my Prius.

    You had problems with the boost bottle because you fabricated your own intake. The tap off, must be welded. The method you used, must protrude into the tube to fasten. You cannot obstruct the intake at all, not even a little bit. If you buy the welded type, you may have a better experience.

    Hey bud your chain tensioner is on the wrong way partne, you need to flip it around to where the chain is going under not over like that cuz the top part of the chain already has rention from the motor gear..so there is one huge mistake I see.. I can send you a pic of mine and show you what I mean

    HI wonder if you can help . the engine mounting bolt sheered of as I was going along an the hot exhaust .melted clean through the low tension wires coming from the motor . I used some wire from a lamp which looked about the same to repair it , but the spark is now weak ( not blue ) as i,d expected. the standard coil is the one that came with the kit . I,m dubious as to why the spark is so weak the only thing that has changed from the standard kit is the wire i,ve used ,I,m certain that the wiring is correct . if not longer than the original as took the opportunity to move coil further up frame to a dryer location at the neck .

  • @dannyoutlaw9919

    The best and most powerful bolt on is the exhaust pipe a mz65 is the best one but hard to find...I've tried a lot of pipes and the best one to buy is the cdh66 pipe from cdh power.com and you can order them from Amazon and the next best bolt on is the carb...

      The Fake Mz's no thank you, I plan on welding a CR85R big Boy FMF Exhaust on new Header for my 78.6cc big bore 2 Stroke, not a bolt on but I'd rather build a unique one of a kind sound than the rattle pop pop from a small pipe cdh66 1" or so exhaust piping.. The FMF are the real 2 Stroke Exhaust, add a 21mm keihin/mikuni carb and you have a power house motor. And the F2 Thruster exhaust is the most effective exhaust and loudest, its basically a straight pipe with an expansion chamber. Best of two exhaust systems.

    Next upgrade without changing the engine would be aerodynamics. Flip the handlebars and get a lowered/offset seat. Cut down the wind resistance.

    I've had over a dozen of these engines of all different brands and the winners are the seeutek and runwell pk80 engines, they were both reliable and fast but the best out of the 2 is the runwell pk80 which I currently run with a racing head and double head gaskets because the piston was hitting with the stock head and barely hit but still ran good, but with this racing head it hauls ass,I also am using a thrust pipe and at 1375 feet elevation I had 2 jet all of the way down to a 62 jet to make this engine run perfect, but I am using a stock nt carburetor and bought the carburetor you have, the hp clone or delotoro clone but I haven't put it on yet because my engine runs perfect right now in this cold weather plus its the rainy season so I am not riding much,my question is? Do these clone carburetors work like the nt carburetor with the same jet as I am using now?

      @timdillen  4 роки тому

      Thanks for all the good info! The new carb uses the same jets. I used the same jet as the old but have not had time to fully test jet setting.

    Just try the straight pipe so you can see the amount of power you get it increases the torque a lot off of line which is surprising most mechanics and want to be Engineers think they know everything and when they think they know everything they figure taking the exhaust cap off will lose torque quite the contrary your torque is increased two three four or five fold you will notice such a large increase at least try it to see what it does

    Hellooo! 👋 did I miss a vid on the weekend? Quick question. Are you an Amazon affiliate and if so do you think the link works into Amazon.ca in Canada. I’ll be buying some stuff for new to me Roadtrek and would like to use an affiliate link. Question: do I need to chock the wheels on a Class B RV like a Roadtrek. Seems overkill to me but maybe I’m missing something 🤔

    • @timdillen
      @timdillen  5 років тому +1

      Hello! You are up to date. I have been spending time with mom as she had a bad fall and landed on her face, needed stitches and then found out from her last scan that the cancer has started spreading again. She took it pretty hard but is better now. May need to go back to Chemo but she hates that. Thanks for asking about the affiliate links. Just click on any amazon link in a video description of mine and you will be flagged for any purchases from Amazon for 24 hours unless you pick someone elses affiliate link. Amazon will probably skip out as it is Canada but I am grateful if you try. I have never felt the need to chock unless parking on something pretty steep. I try to never park on anything steep. How is your Roadtrek coming?

      PSC Camper Conversions Hello 👋. Sorry to hear about your mom. Tough decision to make re:chemo and on top of that a bad fall! Great you can spend time with her.
      Just got the Roadtrek today! I’m in love 😍! Seller was beyond awesome and even brought it to my house and hour and a half away. Looks brand new - only 18,000 miles on her. I’ve named her “Queen B” for now. Lottsa learning curve here! First to learn how to drive her! I live in a small/medium city and I have noticed our drivers have gotten much work over the last few years. Never driven anything quite this large. I’m already stymied by how to get around no Bluetooth! Lol... there is an odd connector around the doghouse that looks like pre-HDMI cables but one section looks like the old wide Apple lightening connection. Do you think a new model lightening connection could be spliced in instead and then feed through the car/coaches stereo system? I thought I would just use a small bt speaker for the time being of which I have two but one tall round one on Amz looks like it would be safer when driving bc volume controls etc on the top. Would sit in third cup holder. Hmmmm. There is short aux cables but haven’t searched the cab for an aux in yet.
      Looks like I’ll be tooling around Ontario this fall bc of health insurance 90 day rule 😖. Trek to Ottawa to see older sons new resto and a Gauguin exhibit. Later to our near north which is gorgeous. Probably store for this winter and start again late spring to east coast and Labrador.
      Sorry to say the amz.com link will not work at all with .ca 👎. There is only one of my YT channels that has both links (they are Canadian). When I order things on .com and cross the border to pick up I’ll use your affiliate link. You guys have way more choice and much cheaper prices than we do here.
      Will we get another transportation instalment this weekend?

      That is awesome about your Roadtrek! I am so glad you will finally be able to get out and travel with it. That is very low miles, you won't have mechanical troubles with that one. I have not had the time to make videos but still here checking comments as I can.

    Hello 👋 how are you and Mom doing? I have been out twice with my Roadtrek to private homes through Boondockers Welcome. I am glad that there is someone there to help with connections etc as my health is still challenged. Hope to make two more outings before it gets too cold. Our provincial parks are booked solid even now on the weekends. Are you being affected by Dorian?

      The diameter of the cylinder and the depth of the stroke.49cc=40mm bore and 38mm stroke and is actually a 47cc.A standard 66cc=47mm B,x38mm Stroke.If stroke is 40mm then the motor is 67.5.I missed a step,but hope this helps you find right parts.

    Where did you go?! The world needs you and you stopped making videos. There are a lot of reviewers of solar generators, but they never test them in car campers. All of the companies would send you free units for review. I need to choose a power system for my Prius, but I don't know which units charge best from a car. I think you could jump to 50k subs if you did more product reviews with campers as a focus.
