    You can add a CDH off set air intake 40mm to your engine. It offsets the carb so that it will sit to the right or left of the seat tube instead of butting up against it. That way you can leave the air filter on when you remove the carb and that means one less step in the rejetting procedure.

    What about the needle?? Trick question, it doesn't have one. So how would one go about tuning the idle mixture?

      Idle screw adjusts a slide instead of a needle.

    Just built a 66cc bike with high performance carb and exhaust, mine too was running rich so I bought a 0.65 & 0.60 jet and tried the .60 first and wow what a difference! Haven't even bothered trying the .65 I dont think it needs it. I am riding from around 70m elevation down to sea level at 15c average temp. Hit 70kmh for a couple seconds not trying to push it too hard. 44t sprocket 29" wheel.

    • @MrJasenstewart97
      @MrJasenstewart97 2 роки тому

      Doubt that 70kmh was on a flat, probably downhill cause there's no way on a 44t were you going 70kmh

    I'm going to go do this right now. The NT that I replaced gave me better performance than the HP, both are stock. So it stands to reason that the NT jet should be better

    • @MrJasenstewart97
      @MrJasenstewart97 2 роки тому

      Nt carbs in general are better than these hp carbs. I fought to get one of these hp to run correctly and it would never idle regardless of how much tuning and jet work I did, they're notorious for not idling. Also nt carbs have a larger chamber than these by 2-3mm, I had to swap my jet for a 78 and after little adjustment it ran great

  • @TheChensoccer
    @TheChensoccer 8 років тому +3

      you need to loosen you throttle a bit, the silver thing off the top of your carb, and tighten the l shaped thing coming off your carb. If its going by itself slowly, thats supposed to happen, if you want it to stop moving, then you pull in the clutch.

      Thats because people dont check bolts before every ride. Running your engine at full throttle all ride might make you go the speeds you want but its a nightmare on your engine. These engines unless properly balanced are not made good enough to run at high rpms for very long. Thats why things break during riding. Either buy a balanced crank or a shift kit to fix these problems.
