You can add a CDH off set air intake 40mm to your engine. It offsets the carb so that it will sit to the right or left of the seat tube instead of butting up against it. That way you can leave the air filter on when you remove the carb and that means one less step in the rejetting procedure.
Just built a 66cc bike with high performance carb and exhaust, mine too was running rich so I bought a 0.65 & 0.60 jet and tried the .60 first and wow what a difference! Haven't even bothered trying the .65 I dont think it needs it. I am riding from around 70m elevation down to sea level at 15c average temp. Hit 70kmh for a couple seconds not trying to push it too hard. 44t sprocket 29" wheel.
I tried to use a 5mm jet in my carb and the threads were way too small and it wouldn't even thread into my carb. However I looked all over for larger carb jets and cannot find any?
I'm going to go do this right now. The NT that I replaced gave me better performance than the HP, both are stock. So it stands to reason that the NT jet should be better
Nt carbs in general are better than these hp carbs. I fought to get one of these hp to run correctly and it would never idle regardless of how much tuning and jet work I did, they're notorious for not idling. Also nt carbs have a larger chamber than these by 2-3mm, I had to swap my jet for a 78 and after little adjustment it ran great
isnt the jet size all dependent on elevation? im at sealevel with a HP carb like yours. what should i go with? just the low 60s fine tuning jets? where are you located?

HELP!!!! when i start my motorised bike the bike rides straight away even without me pulling the throttle it rides, and I cant come to a stop unless i press the kill switch, How can I stop this so i can stop and the engine keeps running at the same time?
hold down the clutch lever and rev the motor until it'll run without you doing so, than adjust your carb, this was commented a month ago so Im assuming you solved the problem already
you need to loosen you throttle a bit, the silver thing off the top of your carb, and tighten the l shaped thing coming off your carb. If its going by itself slowly, thats supposed to happen, if you want it to stop moving, then you pull in the clutch.
The jet is a 78 i'm confused I put a 60 in there and my bike went way faster is it because the 78 jet was clogged I thought the more gas that went in it the faster you would go?
bike guy . every carburetor that is on a given engine can only take a certain amount of gas no matter what size carburetor that engine will run its best giving a certain amount of gas and air. The one you give more air with a bigger carburetor you have to get it up some but not enough to make it four stroke
The long shaft holds the jet in place at length past the float, the jet your looking for is at the end of the shaft mine was a 5mm bolt style at the end of the shaft. But my NT carb seemed to run fine, it did 42mph I tried that jet on the HP carb ran at 22mph.. Put the old jet and will try to fully test this "HP" Carb. Will try tomorrow.

Carl Schock you need to have a start point in size of jet. 60-70. Performance will improve, when you have found the correct match. Check your spark plug, don't be running to LEAN condition. This can damage engine.
i have this same carb i also have the speed nt it flys no 4 stroke at all but whit this it does in mid and full dont know what size jets in it but will my speed fit

Thats because people dont check bolts before every ride. Running your engine at full throttle all ride might make you go the speeds you want but its a nightmare on your engine. These engines unless properly balanced are not made good enough to run at high rpms for very long. Thats why things break during riding. Either buy a balanced crank or a shift kit to fix these problems.

What about the needle?? Trick question, it doesn't have one. So how would one go about tuning the idle mixture?
Idle screw adjusts a slide instead of a needle.

Doubt that 70kmh was on a flat, probably downhill cause there's no way on a 44t were you going 70kmh
What about if you're running too rich with the hp carb??? I'm going to switch the original for the nt and hope it works
