This helps a lot, but the reason hers looks so good so fast is because she’s already really flexible. If you aren’t flexible it won’t look like that after a week, so definitely work on getting splits and middle split to help with toe touch.
I’m front center in cheer with jumps and probably one of the least flexible on my team. A lot of people just don’t know how to bend their hips and some people do regardless or flexibility. Now I just want mine more hyperextended.
You don’t need to have your splits to get high toe touches , i have neither of my splits or middle splits and i have the highest toe touches than girls how do have their splits

Hi Emmy! Thank you so much for your videos for cheer. I coach Jr Novice (ages 5-7) and they so desperately want to do jumps and stunts but their skill level is not quite there yet so your videos are super helpful for them to work on getting their jumps! I was wondering if you would consider doing some tutorials on other jumps for little girls such as straight/pencil, tuck, spread eagle, and (half) pike? Like a stretching routine for each and then walk through the counts and then in real time (also great to see your jumps in slo mo and freeze frame thank you). The safety and explanations are really helpful, as well as the amazing encouragement. My cheer squad and parents really love you! Thanks again for all you do 💖
I am watching this video because I do ballet and jazz and in jazz, my teacher is gonna pick 3 people to have a solo in my performance who have the best toe touch and we only have 2 months! I wanna try to get mine cause I'm not very flexible. I can't wait to try this!
About to watch the video! I’ve been looking for ways to make my jumps higher because although my tumbling is pretty good, I’ve always struggled with the height of my jumps and my coaches don’t do drills like this at practice so I never end up getting to work on it during that. I'm in all-star I don't have the best jumps because my hips pop all the time, sometimes it hurts sometimes it doesn't. I'm going to the chiropractor soon so I'll figure that out. Hip flexors always hurt half way down my thighs whenever I do them for an extended amount of time. So hopefully this helps

Toe Touches actually have little to do with flexibility. Yeah, you have to do a straddle, but not in a split. It has most to hip flexors and strength
