Obviously he wanted to live when he was younger, he was more scared but after 14 years he is blaming himself for Fergus death, and thinks he would do better than him
To me, it makes sense that Wyatt was the one to be saved. Listening to Fergus' frustration, he wouldn't have minded if you sacrificed him. He even spits at you for pissing on the future Wyatt could've brought with him. Seeing Wyatt struggle was, to me, the first stepping stones to becoming a leader- something he mentioned as not being cut out for. To Wyatt, I say this: Leaders aren't born...they are created.

I chose wyatt and I regretted it, and it was made worse when deaths head put him in that robot and Wyatt asked for blaskowickz to kill him knowing that I was the one that put him there.
When I played this game, I first saved Fergus in hopes that Wyatt being so young, doesn't have to endure the loss of the war and such. When I chose Wyatt on my third playthrough, I was very disappointed in his character and how he still had that heart in him, I hated the lockpicking minigame, and even J being there doesn't make too much sense, even though I liked him. Let me explain. Wyatt was soft in the first mission, but it made sense because he was a private and a young one at that. Then when we find him he hasn't changed like at all? He barely showed any ounce of being on his own and still had the mindset he was just a rookie compared to everyone else. And Wyatt was, sadly, right in his opinion that he wasn't QUALIFIED to be saved, because he just didn't feel like he had the guts for it compared to Fergus who could. Wyatt, even after 14 years of being on his own, conducting small skirmishes with the Nazis and fighting literally the worst human beings on the face of the earth, is still not phased by it and STILL calls BJ 'Captain', like he is still the private rather than just a comrade standing side-by-side? I appreciated his positive outlook on everything, but he didn't give much to his development other than that one outburst like we saw with Fergus in his timeline. J, I did like, but his story is entirely inconsistent with what we see in game. Like why would an American like J even be in Berlin? How did he get past the Nazis, let alone find the Kraisau resistance given his African-American decent? Why would of all things he would be the ONLY pacifist in the group prior to freeing the labor camp? Why didn't he find one of the American resistances, like in New York or New Orleans? He felt to me (As I'm sure he did to you too) like more of an activist rather than a soldier who had a gripe with government at the time, rather than having hate specifically towards the Nazis. And I believe that this makes more sense when we see him compared to Tekla, asking this question; Who would you rather have in your resistance, a hyper-intelligent (albeit probably insane) genius who can calculate any and all of the Nazis movements like some crazed super computer, or would you rather have a laid-back pacifist who would rather sit and do nothing but play his guitar even as the world as knows gets worse and worse each day? I have to say this How come set Roth didn’t crush frau Engel’s head completely I mean dang that could have probably finished the entire Trilogy before the first of it started
I couldn't agree more. To me, Wyatt seemed way too kind, innocent and pure-hearted to be true... Until I did some research on Mr. Rogers on UA-cam... As I don't live in the US and I was born in the late 70s, I never had the chance to watch his show. I was shocked to realize that there was an actual human being with such qualities. US public television should feel lucky and proud of him. Wyatt's appearance in TNC almost convinces me that it was Mr Rogers who inspired the game developers for his character.

In the moment, the only real reason to choose Wyatt is because you feel bad for him. But seeing how he turns out in Wolfenstein 2 it seems like he's just a wasted choice. Fergus is obviously the better leader. Wyatt just gives a lame ass speech. Really don't know how people like it.
Jakob S that is not the reason I chose wyatt I think Wyatt is just better
Thank you Captain Blazckovitz Sir!
I mean Fergus is really entertaining but, guitar music and LSD is pretty great too.
Fergus is real man.
Wyatt storyline: handling depression, ptsd and trauma while discovering the profound underlines of existence and himself via psychadellic journeys, finally ending his character arc with a speech to the people worthy of JFK
Fergus storyline: haha kooky wacky arm is funny
Wyatt is tryna be tough but give it 10 out of it
Man if they just added a better soundtrack to the whole game, more songs that weren’t written just for the game, like call of duty does occasionally, or far cry, it would’ve been the icing on the cake. Just imagine some badass Vietnam era rock songs and shit like that over the insane cutscenes and battles in this game. It was already ahead of its time though. One of the best games ever imo
Inhale. Count to four. Exhale.
oh,pack up you're troubles in your old kit-bag and smile smile smile
48:24 how the fuck did they give a robot a Scottish accent? Anyway I saved Fergus, he’s funny and a good leader
Furges let’s go beerboys wyatt I’m not a beerboy
Why would you downvote this? It's literally what the title says.
I have to say this How come set Roth didn’t crush frau Engel’s head completely I mean dang that could have probably finished the entire Trilogy before the first of it started
28:28 Blazkowicz plays the guitar 🎸
29:54 idc what anybody says this is mother fuckin jimi hendrix i loved this part in its entirety lol
also is J Jimmy Hendrix
yo elegí a fergus por que creí que su experiencia iba a ser útil para escapar
Fergus not only had a beter arc and personality. His health upgrades were alot beter than the armor upgrade. Atleast for a firdt play through
Wyatt was singing It’s a long way to tipararry
If I played this game, I’d choose Fergus instead of Wyatt because Wyatt’s screams just traumatizes me while Fergus’s just makes me not care
Ngl I picked Wyatt cause I thought he was weak just hearing scream and shit I was like fuck it the other stronger and better
So like wyatt and fergus have different things like lockpicks and uhhh hotwire
HAHAHAHA When Deathshed says "captain blazkowicz" subtitles are "captain black coffee"
He's like Mr Rogers
I couldn't agree more. To me, Wyatt seemed way too kind, innocent and pure-hearted to be true... Until I did some research on Mr. Rogers on UA-cam...
As I don't live in the US and I was born in the late 70s, I never had the chance to watch his show. I was shocked to realize that there was an actual human being with such qualities. US public television should feel lucky and proud of him.
Wyatt's appearance in TNC almost convinces me that it was Mr Rogers who inspired the game developers for his character.
J plays left handed too
I was going to chose Fergus to live but he said to pick him so wyat would live so I ended up sacrificing him and now I'm sad
Either way there is no right answer. Fergus makes you feel guilty for killing an 18 year old kid and Wyatt being whiny makes you feel bad for killing a war hero Fergus. I chose Fergus and regretted it but yet he is funny af. I am also replaying the game with Wyatts timeline before playing the second and I played it for like 4 hours but yet today I say fuck it. I'm gonna just play the second with Ferguses timeline.
Thank you
Even Deathshead knows that you should always save Fergus
