      There was a british WW1 & WW2 fighter pilot ace. He became a 20 confirmed and 2 shared kills pilot. All after losing one leg above the knee and one below the knee. And was then given artificial legs for them. Later got shot down and became a POW in WW2 and escaped enough so they threatened to take away his legs if he kept on doing it.

A man who was so good at escaping German POW camps they send him to the infamous Colditz castle and a man so respected by the Germans Hermann Goering himself gave the RAF permission to airdrop Bader a new prosthetic leg after his original was damaged.

      +Young Simba48 The two main characters, BJ and Deatshead, have really good voice actors... the issue with those two is same one I had with movies like Inglorious Bastards, in which main villain is way more appealing and charismatic (in a dark way) than main character. While BJ is a Batmans carbon copy, the Deatshead shows whole range of seemingly incompatible characteristics that make him somewhat unique and superhuman... he is efficient, reasonable, is able to suppress his own instincts, he is extremely calculated, highly intelligent and reminds me a lot of infamous Hans Landa. People that don't like reboots like these can go fuck themselves, and this is coming from a huge RTCW fan.

      Solaxe S All around good archetype Batman hero and a charismatic villain... Yes I do know gore and blood is turned up a notch in Wolfenstein, but main characteristics are still there. Maybe I stepped over the line when I used a term "carbon copy" but he is a Batmans copy, packed with hunger for justice and gritty testosterone overcharged voice.

      +360Nomad What do you find annoying about Wyatt? He is an exceptionally written character, his voice acting is fantastic and he doesn't act any shittier to you than Fergus does.

    • @justinruiz8346
      @justinruiz8346 6 років тому +8

      That scene makes me think about L4D's The Sacrifice comic, because of Bill sacrificing himself because of his old age, although he is a war veteran from Vietnam. What if someone else did it? They will have 2 people gone this time. So I would have Fergus killed in that scene because of his age gap compared to Wyatt and because of Wyatt's young age, he would have more experience than Fergus but also live more longer. Wyatt's "annoying" behavior is him panicking because of the dangers and horrors he is facing. Although later on, he can get mad at himself and blame William for choosing Fergus to die and that is because of Wyatt's inexperience. Despite that, Wyatt is able to keep himself afloat because of his experience while William was in the asylum. Not to be offensive but people who want Wyatt to die makes me think they want someone else to die in L4D's The Sacrifice instead of Bill, just an observation.

      BJ PENN Better than both RtCW and Wolfenstein 2009, for sure. I know people will probably hate me for saying that about RtCW, but I just feel like this game is better in basically every regard. The gunplay alone is a whole hell of a lot better, and the story/characters are far more interesting as well.

    Recently replayed this game, with a different timeline. I realised I didn't properly take in how well-written the story and characters were when I first played this. It amazing how they turned the simplistic, mindless shooter from 1992 (and even 2001 to an extent) into a brilliant story with great characters, voice-acting, music, and set-pieces. Even with how they turned BJ (who was originally nothing more than a face/caricature) into an actual human character (a well-written and well-acted one too) with complexity and emotions.
    As we know, both DOOM and Wolfenstein (both the start of FPS) were rebooted. DOOM decided to remain a mindless, fun shooter. Wolfenstein decided to go the storytelling path while still giving good gameplay. And they both work

    Even though this is the best version of Wolfenstein to me, I can't help but notice how convoluted the timeline is between previous games and this one. I hope the next game has dlc chapters that shows why and how B.J. lost the fight with Mecha-Hitler and escaped his execution, as well as his fights and interactions with Deathshead before New Order.
