Notice the gaping hole on the top of the tensioner. This is to allow moisture and dirt to get to the spring to ensure failure down the road. Ask me how I know.
I put a new serpentine belt on my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500, 5.2 liter, and I bypassed the AC because it doesn't work! After getting the belt on I noticed it wasn't lining up! It Lines up everywhere but from power steering pump around the crank pulley! It seems like the PS pump may be out of line! Would I be right about that? When I cut it off the belt is back place! Weird huh?
it's the same on 5.2 and just unscrew the screws both on coil you can disconnect nothing lay on body undo nut pop new on secure nut 2 screws bam magic less than 3 min yours the same probably js this how I did it

Mines so bad it holds itself out of the way when I rotate it, put it right back and am driving to advance to replace it in their parking lot now
