@@ghostlyrich wow never knew that was even considered a tool. Seeing how it has a small ball bearing on it for bits to attach. Bizarre thank you it worked. Awesome, I put a mechman 370 high output alternator in my 2020 ram 1500 and it states since the pulley is 1.75" pulley little smaller then stock alt pulley I should get 1/2" to 1" shorter belt which ever fits and places the tensioner as close to where the stock sat. The shop put my factory belt back on and said it was tight going back on and was no need for shorter belt and it looked like the tensioner was sitting in same spot. I'm wondering if I should go ahead and still see if I should try close to .5" shorter belt. I jus didn't understand with my stock alt my voltage stayed in low 14s now at times if I come to idle my voltage will drop down to like 13.6v 13.8v idling at around 550rpm it looks like. But if I barley tap my gas an rims go up a hair it jumps right back to 14s. Not sure if it's jus the bcm doing its thing or what.
You could drop it down a belt size and see how it goes i definitely noticed factory belt was a half inch to big and went down a size later on for the singer alt
@ghostlyrich yeah think ima a try there's 2 next sizes I see with the green gates fleetrunner belts. One is like .44" shorter then factory and next size smaller is like .66" smaller
Yes should be because yours i believe used power steering not electric steering at this age so should be exact same basically. Can check belt size on rock auto just to be sure

What size bit to get to the tensioner!! Is it inward? Like recessed? Because I don’t see a nut/bolt to grab. Thank you!
No socket required just use head of the rachet thats why its square :)
