Brilliant camera work. I am very lucky that you happen to own an Aygo. Thank you. This is definitely something that I need to check out. My exhaust is making lots of noise as I accelerate. I thought it sounded like a hole in the exhaust but I can't find one anywhere. This has made me reconsider what I might be looking for.
Hey, be careful. I know it's only a tiny car but if the jack were to fail then I'm not sure you could bench press an Aygo. Just slip in an axle stand.

I've noticed there's a plastic cover on mine that seems to be covering the brake pipes near the front left wheel that feels quite loose and rattly. Cant say I've noticed a noise though... I put some underbody sealant on last week mainly to protect the exhaust mounting bolts welded onto the chassis and engine subframe (as they looked like they had started corroding) but cleaned and painted parts of the underbody that has early signs it could start rusting without protection.
I've had my exhaust mounts snap twice and my newer muffler rusted a hole... I spray painted the new muffler, I didn't paint the new center pipe but I did put copper grease on the mounts and welds to give a bit of protection as I'm sick of my exhaust falling off xD

Will the steel washer cause galvanic corrosion when in contact with the alloy of the heat shield?

Hi anton daughter has a 107 and she slams the boot down, and i think she is going to smash the glass, on the bodywork there are two black bungs one each side and they are not that soft have you had to deal with this problem and if so how did you sort this out so when you shut the boot it does not sound like the glass is going to smash ps this is a teenager so not worth keeping on at her as she would forget anyway thanks for any help.
its possible the gas strut is getting weak, altho these boot glasses can come down hard with no issues you would be unfortunate to break one, I have hit one hard with a hammer and it did not smash! Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
When I trun right the exhaust hits the fuel tank heat shield I've put new washer on and a new clamp and still hasn't made a difference just wondering what could it be
It may be possible to rotate the clamp round so that it is not as close to the tank or you might need to replace the exhaust rubbers which may have gone a bit soft and saggy Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

My aygo air con is not working, bought a refill kit fae Amazon to no avail, don't hear air con clutch noise

Do you have any tips on how to get better gas mileage out of my 1.0 petrol 107? The car runs fine, i just get 7,5-8l/100km(30mpg) in a busy city, everywhere online it says i should get 6l/100km (40mpg) or even better.... the car runs perfectly.. i'm thinkin to change the spark plugs maybe? i went for an MOT and the technician said my lambda sensor is on its way out, could that be the issue? any thoughts?

I have pulled many heat shields off @ work. Petrol & diesel cars, including shields around the fuel tank.
Never heard of any tragedies from removing them. Northern Ireland MOT doesn't care about it.
Idk about GB MOT, they tend to be stricter than NI though
I like to keep the heat shield on the fuel tank, others not too important safety wise more to keep the passenger compartment cool, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
