Very light load out downstairs. I get the consistancy for FAs but bit of a stretch for the same pilots to be rostered for the flights. That must be interesting rig and bid wise.

You have to deal with hotels, buses to the hotel n stadium too…lots of logistics

Once the team arrived at their destination, plane stay with them or do they do another charter and pick them up a day or 2 later…
they wait since in the NFL the team usually flies home after the game

Atlas also charters for the DoD. The food looks a lot different than what NFL players get. Nothing like a dry struggle sandwich from AAFES on a 16 hour flight...

Awesome video, so is this 747-400 purchased by Atlas for this type of scenario, football or professional sports, travel? Meaning is it just sitting there until someone calls to book it or is it reserved specifically for the @MiamiDolphins?
These planes are charter passengers planes . Dolphins and jaguars and even ravens get reserve the plane for game days or for whenever they need it . When they are not flying NFL teams around they are usually used to fly military tropos around .
They used it to fly the Golden State Warriors to Japan some time ago
Celebrities have flown on this jet. Leo DiCaprio, Taylor swift, etc
Most of Atlas’s revenue comes from flying freight or transporting military personal/cargo for the USA. The do have a couple passenger config 747s like this in a vip setup for sports teams
They have 7 or so 747-400s in pax configuration, 2 are VIP. They're only charter so no, they don't have one sitting around waiting for the Dolphins, they book when they want to use it. Lots of bands touring and even film companies that want to transport cast, crew and equipment to location use them a lot.
The Browns fly a United 777.
Some of the NBA teams fly United 757's.

This is a big plane; what happens when you are flying into a city with an airport that can't fit that 747? Such as maybe the runway is too short.

a lot of them work with the different positions; QB, RB, WR TE all have their own coaches along with multiple assistants, same with the positions on the defense. Then you have your offensive and defensive coordinators and they each have several assistants
why not get your own plane?

not really, the head coach and about 13 for offense, 13 for defense and 4 special teams coaches.
NFL teams have 8 to 10 away games a year. NHL teams have 40. Hmmmm
