I bought a CLS55 almost 2 years ago and this review made me laugh. The faces you make are exactly how I feel when drive this wonderful car. I keep saying this over and over: this 19 year old car is still relevant to this day. And the build quality is way higher than a lot of modern cars.
Bought mine 3 years ago. Proper mafia car. I can't let go of her.
Is it a reliable car ?
@@floriantotaj992 Mine had neglect, so I fixed that. It has a couple of known weak points (plastic pulleys exploding, valve covers leaking, weak engine mounts etc), but the engine is bulletproof overall. Stay on top of the maintenance (pretty expensive, with 8.5 liters of oil, 16x spark plugs, 8 coil packs, 6 liter gearbox oil, +-120ml supercharger oil) and it should keep blasting for a long, long time. I would highly recommend it if you can work on these cars yourself (my DIY videos should help in that regard), as the reward for driving this is very high (expressed in smiles per gallon off course 🥳). Also the interior + build quality is unmatched compared to contemporary cars (hard plastics vs full leather).

Those hips on the 2nd gen is the most beautiful thing mercedes has done to any of their cars.
@djura19 - 2nd generation is also my favorite. Unfortunally I am too big for that car, the roof comes down a lot.
This car is sick. A moving piece of art with a brutal sounding engine. I wish I had the money to do a restomod. Modernize the interior/dash, improve the transmission, etc. Now the AMGs are getting lame with 4 cylinders and 6 cylinders.

What a brilliant car, i was 7 when it came out and it looked like nothing else on the road. I’m 25 now and considering to buy it, just afraid of the running costs. Keep going my man you’re doing great, cheers from Milan
I’m 20 and I own a CLS55 AMG among others. If you buy a excellent example and keep up with maintenance, you’ll be surprised how reliable it can be!
I own e55 amg and yes the running costs are gonna be more than owning a Honda but you will be surprised how cheap it actcually is if you are willing to get your hands dirty. Much cheaper to maintain than the new ones

The C219 is an design icon and definitely a future classic. Guys buy some in good shape (V8’s), in 10-15 years the prices will be 5x higher. I bought mine already. Althoug i had many S-Classes, CL-s, which are all pure perfection, but designwise: no serial Mercedes is more beautiful and still looks so modern.
Just purchased one two months ago. I swear this thing is pure awesomeness. I get so many compliments. People just can't believe what year the car is, they think it's much newer.

Actually this is not right due to the supercharger being very hot when heat soaked , this is also bad for the blinker fluid that goes into the engine bombaclarstaryrt😂😂 😁👍
i bought mine too, since 1 year. a “simple” C219 CLS 500 V8 306hp. Black, beige leathers, deleted the mufflers AND resonator sound like a 6.2L.. Awesome. But yes, 7g-tronic is very slow, because is heavy and chewing gum airmatic susp. Not sporty, but what a cool thing she is! Driving everyday is exceptional.

Have the love and pleasure of owning one and it is aspolutely a stunning car, as a car guy I was in persue of an e60 m5 but since could not afford one ended up with a 55 amg… and boy that was a surprise, car easely keeps up with modern sport saloons, just love it ❤
My favorite video so far. Oh boy what a car. 4 exhausts pipes, that sound, over 300 on the speedometer cmonnn man who tf hates it.
This price of it is tempting for 700 NM you cannot get any better.

It is. I have one with a 80mm pulley, and cooling mods, tuning and its about 600hp at the engine. It's crazy with long tube headers and straight pipe. Loudest, most aggressive sounding car on Earth. With the supercharger sound its just amazing.
Is that all to get it to 600 I thought maybe more would be involved
The S on the transmission button is a «Standard» mode. C is a «Comfort». M «Manual».😊
Had the 350 since 2008, only reason im keeping it coz it cost almost nothing these days 😅
I absolutely love this car and the e55 simply because of that power plant it is the last quality motor from Mercedes when you buy a car with this motor it is just a car that’s built to last

M113k is just bulletproof and very very reliable but the airmatic sunspension is just not it 😅 , and idk why people be hating on this generation of cls especially the looks. from there u know people dk anything about cars and only want cars that get them from point a to point b
