with the size that they were they couldnt escape at all, my bar size is 1,5 cm. Just make sure you have a cage made for rats. You have cages made for guinea pigs and bunnies and those will to be wide for them

They are way too small to be given up for adoption. Responsible breeders would have waited till they were 3 months oh my gosh!!!!!
