Hi there and thanks for another lovely comment. Me too. Givenchy released not one but three powerhouse florals in a row: Ysatis, Amarige, and Organza. I love all three although I used up Organza.
Hi Luke. I consider Amarige to be one of my ‘power’ fragrances. Like Organza, Escape, and Knowing. I love all those fragrances! I haven’t found an acceptable price yet for Ysatis. When I do, I’ll add it to my vintage perfumes. So nice to see you today. I’m always happy to see a video from you. Your voice is very soothing. 😊
Hi, is it Leah or Miranda, if I may ask? That’s kind of you to say, thank you. I’m familiar with all three. I’ve recently used up my Organza. I like CK Escape. I like Knowing and have even considered getting it again but I can’t wear it because it reminds me of a difficult period in my life. It’s a dark, pitch-black woody scent, no sweetness, just gloom and sadness. But it’s still a great fragrance. I use Paloma Picasso instead. It’s similar but not quite as dark.
@@lukeparfums It’s Leah. Thank you for asking. I am often called Miranda..that’s what happens when your name consists of two first names. 😂 I’m sorry you have such an emotional association with Knowing. I’m happy you found a substitute for the vibe.
Well, nice to meet you! Thankfully that was a while ago. I just wanted to explain why you won’t ever see it on this channel. It’s definitely one of the best dark “chypre” style scents.
You're right. Most of the ones that are still produced are rather affordable. PP is stunning just keep in mind that it’s *very* animalic, especially the opening. Only once it dries down, it starts to resemble Knowing, Magie Noire.
One if my favourites I wore a lot when I first started dating my now husband. I must get another bottle. As you said it hasn’t been reformulated as far as you can tell. Thankyou for sharing! ❤
Luke is one of the present perfume reviewers on youtube whom I really really like.. She is so knowledgeable and her adjectives about perfumes are so exceptional ! Thank you Luke
This was my signature fragrance for a decade! It is so beautiful. It reminds me of "first love." I was so sad to read negative comments about this luxurious fragrance on another site. It was referred to as an "old lady" perfume. Absolute hogwash.🤨 This is for all ages if you love being feminine and assertive, bold and soft, just lovely. Thank you for featuring this luscious scent.❤
Hi there! That’s amazing! A perfect signature scent.🙂🧡 I can’t stand people referring to classic fragrances as *insert any ageist term*. Thanks for watching!🙂
Hi there! Good question. I’ve tried all of these. I find Boucheron Boucheron closer to perfumes like White Diamonds than to Amarige. L’Esprit d’Oscar is very powdery; I wouldn’t compare it to Amarige. Diva is substantially more woody and '80s-style, closer to perfumes like Paloma Picasso. Amarige is brighter, a pure white and yellow floral scent with some peach and vanilla. I hope this helps.🙂 Thank you for watching!
Amazingly I've never tried Amariage but ive seen loads of reviews and it's been on my wishlist forever. I love peach and mimosa dominate scent. Thank you for mentioning Dominique Ropion; he's certainly created a large body of work. I recently bought A Scent by Issey Miyake (a verbena/citrus bomb) and found out it was a Ropion.
Hi there. It’s worth giving a try and it’s not hard to find. Well, of course, I think it’s imperative to give credit to the person who created a scent so amazing. I remember testing A Scent by Issey once, it’s a great freshie. I don’t own many green let alone straight up citrusy scents.
Hi Luke. I've finally bought Amariage and what a beauty it is. I can't for the life of me think why it's never been in my collection, but it's a stunner. I got a 50ml but now wish I'd bought a 100ml 😂.
Hey Kathy! That’s awesome. I’m so glad you enjoy it. We can’t own everything, can we? I only have a 30ml. Well, we can always repurchase it, can’t we? Thanks for watching!🙂
Hi there. That’s amazing! For some more recommendations check out my “Elegant Floral Perfumes” video. I think all of those would be perfect for an Amarige lover. Thanks for watching!🙂
Vintage perfumes are the best ❤❤❤
Indeed! Thanks for watching.🙂
I like how well spoken U are.
And nothing beats 90S perfume ❤
Thank you! I agree. Thanks for watching!🙂
Amarige is so beautiful, I'm happy its still sold for a decent price❤❤❤ I love old school Givenchy perfumes. Another great video Luke💖

Amarige it's so stunning to me. I remember smelling it at the stores back in the 90s. A classic ❤
It really is! Thanks for watching.🙂
Hi, Luke !!! I love love love 💕 all of your viseos i love vintage perfumes..❤❤❤

What a lovely story. As far as I can tell, it smells the way that it used to. Thanks for watching.🙂
I love Amarige 😍
The original formula was much better IMO.
I really like your voice and the quiet setting with focus on perfume bottle.
Thank you. I’m really glad you enjoyed the video.🙂
My absolute favorite I was a little nervous about the box changing but it smells the same I love it
I was concerned about the box change too but the scent is still as beautiful as ever. Thank you for watching!🙂

Wow, thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate it. Also, Luke is a male name. Thanks for watching!🙂
I remember my Dad gifting me this set of sample perfumes at 15 and one of them was Amarige by Givenchy. It's always been a favorite ever since.
@@audraelynnegrimmelhaussen8808 That’s wonderful. Thank you for sharing.🙂
I love Amarige❤

Super! Thank you🎉🎉🎉
I use to own a bottle of Amarige and I would love to purchase another bottle because I really enjoyed it.
The new version is still beautiful. Thanks for watching. 🙂

Thank you for this video! 😊Does anyone know how Amarige compares to Boucheron Boucheron, to Esprit d’Oscar and to Diva by Emanuel Ungaro?

I just blind bought this. I’m in love!!!! ❤😊
We all love a successful blind buy. Thanks for watching!☺️
I just love Amarige. To me it is Christmas joy bottled. Amarige has been the perfume I've been using every Christmas Eve for 20 years.
That’s amazing, thanks for sharing your special personal tradition.
This is for me the best perfume ever. I have a few other favorites but this is my signature and I feel like it describes my personality :)
It’s such a special scent. Thank you for sharing! I don’t have a signature scent but Amarige is in my favourites.🙂
My friend wore this for over 30 yrs I so love the smell... Mediterranean to me..my daughter bought it for me ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

@@kathywitter6076 Me too. I just can’t finish fragrances unless they’re my favourites which always run out too soon.
I just bought Amarige today.
Hi there. I hope you’ll like it. Thanks for watching!🙂
What are your thoughts on Safari ? I had a bottle in 1991, it was so beautiful.
I haven’t smelt it in a long time but I remember liking it. 🙂
This is a masterpiece perfume

OMG, this is one of my top 3! My son hates it but all my friends love it and so do I! It's so sexy!
That’s incredible!😍 My family hates this one too. But they hate Ysatis more.
