At the moment I really enjoy Clinique Aromatics Elixir. Eventhough it is a chypre flower scent I really enjoy the dry-down with sandalwood, patchouli, musk and incence.
Hi Luke. I’m not at all surprised you’re at nearly 2K subscribers. Your content is fabulous. ⭐️ 🌟 I’ve had samples of Coromandel and think it is just divine. Chanel really makes a refined patchouli don’t you think? I do hope you get a full bottle someday. My birthday is in February (the 9th) also. 😊 ♒️ I own and love Hypnotic Poison, and have owned Aylssa Ashley Vanilla, and JPG Classique was gifted to me when I graduated high school and started cosmetology school in 1994. I went through several bottles of it and have wonderful memories attached to it. 😊 Thanks for sharing your beautiful cozy scents with us. ❤️
Hi Betty, thank you! 🙂✨ Chanel really knows how to craft an elegant patchouli scent, like Francois Demachy at Dior knew his way around vanilla. We’re both Aquarians then! ♒️ Thanks for watching. 🧡
Hi Luke thanks for another really lovely video. You must try the Dior Hypnotic poison in the EDP, it’s different.. … someone chased me at a restaurant (the owner) to ask me what I was wearing to buy for his partner.. I told him it was hypnotic poison but that he had to get the Eau de Parfum.. I have both the edt and the EDP. xxx
Hi there. I’m not sure whether it was you or someone else who recommended it to me the other day. Ac a matter of fact, several people did. I’ve tried it since, and I find it intriguing. Licorice is growing on me. It’s certainly a very heady, sexy scent, and I can see why you turned some heads when you wore it. 😀✨
Hi Luke! Cozy perfumes for me are the ones that make me want to hug myself! 😂 By the Fireplace, Prada Infusion d’Iris, Molecules 01 + Iris or Milk by Commodity…
That’s such a huge bottle of Hypnotic Poison..😲😅….lol I didn’t buy Hypnotic Poison for so long thinking I wouldn’t like it, but I absolutely love it. 🥰 It’s just a yummy cozy, beautiful fragrance. 😋🤗
Hi Michele! Yes, it is. 🤭🤭 The smaller sizes are prettier, but I had to get the biggest one for the best value for money. It’s so cozy and delicious... I can't be without it. 🙂🧡
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm really annoyed with hearing about "old lady fragrances" since I find them more complex and pleasing depending on my mood and circumstances. We just can't help having developed a broader appreciation for the beauty of fragrances. LOL
My pleasure! I’ll never stop speaking out about this issue because it's so common in perfume reviews. It's a stereotype that demeans both classic scents and a whole group of people. I reckon most of my collection would be considered “old lady” scents, and I couldn’t care less. Not all of us want to smell like a snack every day. 🤷🏼♂️
That is why I love this channel! No one spouting off about "old lady " perfume. I just don't get it. When I was a young perfume enthusiast I knew some scents were more mature or complex for my taste but I would have never been so disrespectful as to say something was for an " old lady". So rude...😢
I completely agree that some scents are more mature than others, but it’s subjective. I think it’s interesting that back in the 80s, Chanel No. 5 was considered classic, perhaps even old-fashioned, while many fragrances released and popular at that time were also aldehydic florals. Many young women wore them then, but now Ysatis, Poison, and White Diamonds are 'old lady' scents, whereas Chanel No. 5 is seen by some as ancient history. Modernity is relative, and anyone who understands perfume history knows that trends come and go. But when a scent has been around for decades, it’s timeless.
Howdy Luke 🧡 Great to catch you again... 👏🏻👏🏻 My cosy fragrance must be Diva (Ungaro) just brings back so much good memories for me! Goodness your going to spend a pretty penny on Coromandel... 💰 The "goiter" bought mine in NYC... But not paying that no more! 😂 My birthday is in March (Pisces) 🐟 Keep well Luke (Hope you still visit your grandparents? 🥳 As always much love Gerhard xoxo
Hi Gerhard! I never really thought of Diva as cosy, but I see it now. It gets very powdery in the drydown. I’m not sure whether I’ll pull the trigger on Coromandel or not. Yes, as a matter of fact I visited them today. 🙂😆
Oh dear, I think I need a Dior trolley dash: Addict, Hypnotic Poison, Pure Poison, some of the Privée line (Purple Oud, Oud Rosewood). Yep, I agree, I'm never using affiliate stuff. People are weirdly dismissive of anything older. There's ultimately a reason why these fragrances did well in the first place. 😊
Hey Claire! I’d love to try some of the Privé line. I’ve tried Gris Dior, Fève Délicieuse, Vanilla Diorama, and a few others that I can’t remember. Today, I’m wearing Addict. 🙂 It actually breaks my heart that at least three of the creators I used to watch and look up to have turned into infomercial channels. They only include products from the same dozen or so brands they have codes and links for. It’s so blatantly obvious. And I don’t even mind a sponsorship here and there or gifted products. Do you also get a ton of ridiculous collaboration requests? I've been offered everything from jewellery to video games. The only thing I’d consider accepting is perfume samples from a brand I’m curious about - no strings attached.
@lukeparfums yep, some really ridiculous stuff, like website makers, nail polish, fruit flavoured steam generators skin care, bad jewellery 🤣 I have happily accepted some fragrances samples and even a bottle of perfume recently, but I did even turn a fragrance down because I'd tried two others from the brand and hated them, so why would I want the third? 🤷♀️ It's difficult, because there is an edge with gifts, it's undeniable, so I do only accept the things that I would love to experience or know I like. I'm not going to wax lyrical about stuff I think isn't good though (see Saltworks, they just weren't suitable as perfumes), but then sometimes a brand says they will send samples, you agree and they send a bottle 🤷♀️ I can't say I like that if that wasn't the deal. That sounds weird but hopefully you get what I mean. 🥰
Love your heart! So... my fave winter cozy scents I enjoy are Knowing, Cinnabar, Coco edt, Ciara, LVEB Absolu, coco Mad, ALT Cherry Lightening, White Diamonds And Rubies, Floral Street Chypre, all the gourmands from Kyse Perfume.... Bon Bon au lait, Jasmin macaroon, and always year round a fave is White Linen!
Great video!!❤ i love knowing for winter or avon Imari. I recently ordered choco musk since it is inexpensive and went so viral online. It smells like cocoa puffs which i like occasionally.
Thanks! 🧡 Are you referring to the original Imari or the version sold today? From what I understand, they are two different fragrances. I have a rollerball of Choco Musk, and it’s a super cozy, sweet, powdery cocoa scent. 🙂✨
Shalimar edc, the one easily purchased online or in drugstores at the lowest price. It may, in fact, be the most affordable Guerlain of all. Also, I appreciate the coziness of most sandalwood and powder and vanilla fragrances, of which there are many! I would even wear a vanilla-ish body spray as opposed to nothing! :)
@lukeparfums well you certainly talked about Cinnabar in this video :) May I ask you a question? How would you characterize the differences between Chanel No 5 EDP and the original cologne, which I have not tried?
Sure, but I’m afraid I haven’t tried the original cologne; I'm only familiar with the vintage Parfum, modern EdP, EdT, and Parfum. In my opinion, the best one is the Parfum. 😀
I love JPG Classique (vintage) so much. I cannot bring myself to buy the current formulation, it’s so lacking in every way and the disappointment is too much 🤣 I really want to try Chantilly! I also have Reminiscence Patchouli, and it is indeed cosy, and such a blast of patchouli that is just perfect when you’re craving it. I no longer own it, but I remember Chopard Casmir being pretty cosy. The dry down of the vanilla was beautiful, and I always wished I could find something similar but with the fruit turned down a bit, as always went a bit scented candle on my skin. Beautiful nonetheless. Other cosy ones I own are Armani Lei, Lush’s Lord of Misrule, and weirdly Cabochard EDP which I enjoy wearing at bedtime. I’d also love to get my hands on a bottle of Eau Des Mervielles Elixir, as that is such a warm and enveloping aromatic orange. Perfect for cold weather. Cosy but more going out in the cold cosy, I really enjoy Amouage Memoir, Obsession, Noir De Noir / Club de Nuit, and Coco EDP.
Hi there! I tried the tester in-store, and I really liked the current formulation. Is it the performance that disappointed you? I forgot to include Casmir; indeed, that’s another very cosy one. Armani Lei is also on my radar. 🧡
@@lukeparfumsI found JPG very flat with little depth. My bottle from 2000 was soapy too, but it had such gorgeous spices and warmth to It. It was my signature for many years, so I notice the difference in formulation. Such a shame old favourites get messed with so much. Same thing happened with Hypnotic Poison. A shadow of its former self. Oh I thought of one more cosy one: Musc Ravegeur! I’d like to try it’s supposed dupe, Meharees too. My mother wore Opium in the 80s and 90s, so I consider that a cosy comfort scent by association. Still need to get my hands on a vintage bottle! ❤
I have a 2003 bottle of Classique and it’s definitely sweeter and warmer than the current formula which is still gorgeous in my opinion. And so is Hypnotic Poison EdT. I disagree that it’s a shadow of its former self but that’s just my experience. I’ll have to get my nose on Musc Ravageur.
Hi Luke, really enjoy your videos ❤ My favorite cozy perfume was Alien Essence Absolue. Unfortunately it is discontinued. Trying to find an affordable bottle, but no luck so far 😊
Excellent video as always. I like your choices and I have some of the fragrances you featured. I have a small bottle of Classique and I thought it's time to start using it. I bought it 2 years ago and I don't wear it. I love Patchuli by Reminiscence as well as Vanilla but I see there are not many fragrances by this company on the website. When I Google the name I see some other fragrances that are quite expensive 75 Euros or so whereas the known ones are very affordable. I don't understand what is going on. I would like to try Quatre fragrances, I'm very curious of how they smell. My scent of the day is vanilla by Theodoros Kalotinis. It's a sweet , smoky vanilla perfect for this time of year.
Hi there! Classique gets even better with time, so definitely dig it out and start wearing it. 🙂 That’s because they rebranded their fragrance line; they cost more now, but the formulas are said to be the same. I’ve not tried the other Quatre fragrances, only the Iconic, which is beautiful. 🙂✨

Youth Dew

Tabu by Dana
Mon Querlain edp, in these months.
Noa Cacherel

I love that our taste is just similar enough that every video I know there will be scents I already love, and also scents I don't know I love yet 🎈
I love that! And I also get amazing recommendations from you guys. 🙂🧡 Thank you for watching.
Oh Luke, I love it when you get a little salty! …Always with a touch of ambery sweetness, of course! 😉😂
It is known to happen sometimes. 🙂
I want Cinnabar so much… I’m gonna look for it during the Black Friday sales!!! 🍀🤞☺️
I’m sure you’ll be able to get a good deal on it. 😀

I love Boucheron Quatre Iconic, Patchouli Reminiscence and Classique JPGaultier. But also Kenzo Jungle ❤
I can’t wait to try Kenzo Jungle. 🧡
I ordered diamonds and emeralds this week after your review. I read it smells like a Christmas 🎄! Im so excited to get it.🎉
