Too me, Old Spice brings back so many memories from the 60ties, because it was my father's favorite after shave. He was in the Navy so only when he was I woke up with that scent around the house...I am 67 myself now, and like to have a sniff now and then to have those memories floating back to me. I myself like Sultan Noir as a more masculine fragrance, from Pascal Morabito. Again a lovely video Luke.
Hi Luke, I am glad to say opium pour homme has been re introduced and available here in the UK. price is around £ 80-85. Thanks again for another great video.
Dior Homme Intense's my sotd; I've added 1 spray of Insolence to amp up the iris💜. I get why you've put a good dent in your bottle already. It's a great scent. I love the parfum, too, and I have to actively step away from them to give others a go.
Hi Luke😊 I’ve always judged perfumes by the scent itself, and not by the gender it was marketed toward. I’ve worn Fahrenheit, Sauvage, and several Avon ‘masculine’ fragrances over the years. I think one of the Avon offerings was called Wild Country. I loved it on my husband, and on me!😂 I’ve always loved the smell of Old Spice in the air. I’ve never used it myself, but love it on others. I’m not sure why I liked Fahrenheit so much because I’m not a big fan of leather now. I guess 35 years makes a difference. I detest Amberwood in niche fragrances, namely Navitus! I’ll have to buy Dior Homme ‘for my husband’ so I can try it!😂😂😂😂😂 I haven’t tried anything from Zadig and Voltaire. Thank you for another great video!💛💛
Hi Leah! Fahrenheit is indeed very leathery-perhaps a bit too leathery for me, but I can appreciate it from afar. Old Spice is inexpensive, yet it’s super classic and, dare I say, classy. I reckon you should get Dior Homme “for your husband” then. 😂 Thanks for watching!
Such a great line of perfumes. I was surprised how potent the new version was when I bought it two years ago. I was sceptical because of the reformulation rumours. Thanks, Claire.🙂
You’re so right about that musky, Prada dna, I can pick it up as well in the Candy line and its flankers worn by co-workers. I own and adore Dior Homme Intense. I don’t know much about the marketing around it, but find it to be a gender bending men’s release. Then again, I think most fragrances are genderless. I have to close my eyes and almost go into a meditative state to remember what the original old spice smells like. It’s been years since I’ve smelled it. Great video! Have a lovely weekend.
Hi Betty, exactly. I have a 10ml decant of Candy, and I totally pick up the musky DNA. To me, it’s not even that sweet of a fragrance. I don’t smell that in Paradoxe, though. Dior Homme is highly lauded in the perfume community as one of the best men’s fragrances of all time, yet it smells like lipstick so I totally agree that it’s genderless. Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a great weekend too. 🙂🍂✨
Hi Luke, it was interesting to hear about your taste for masculine leaning perfumes. I love smelling Dior Homme on my man and I actually gifted him with the edt and edp but never thought I could try it myself 😮😊 What do you think about leather notes? For me it is a very masculine note and I typically steer away from it. I don’t think there are many classics with leather notes, this has been used more recently and a lot more in niche than designers.
Hi there, Dior Homme is beautiful but I was talking about the Intense version. Try the Intense, it’s beautiful if you like iris. Personally, I’m not very fond of leather in perfumes unless it’s very well blended and not overpowering. It can add character and depth to a fragrance. Thanks for watching and commenting.🙂✨
@@lukeparfums I tried the Homme Intense today and immediately understood what you said. Homme Intense is a different story from the Homme edp or edt. So I bought a bottle of Intense to complete my partner’s collection of all 3 Dior Homme and also to test it out myself 🤫
@except Chanel Cuir de Russie, I personally don’t know other classics with noticeable leather notes, nor are they talked to very much on YT. Indeed Cuir de Russie is very much a classic and comes up often as a favourite of Chanel Les Exclusifs lovers. My first experience with leather was French Leather by Memo which I like because of the rose and more of a suede, softer leather note.
@@EyeByBrian Indeed, you’re exactly right. Tobacco and leather, which people nowadays usually associate with masculine fragrances, were used in countless old-school chypres (marketed towards women) from the beginning of the century onward. I spoke about, or at least mentioned, Azurée, Cabochard, as well as Bandit on this channel. I can’t say they’re my favourites, though.
Hi Luke! Masculine perfume is really not my thing but sometimes I surprise myself by wearing my husband’s Orange Verte by Hermès. Ani by Nishane is as masculine I will go so I don’t wear it often. Zara’s Rich Warm and Addictive is also one I pull out on a few occasion. I was really surprise by the new Dior Sauvage Eau Forte. I think it’s something I would wear… but the price is too high for designer! 😅 Have a great weekend!
Hi Julie, that’s interesting! Nishane Ani definitely has a masculine touch. Rich Warm Addictive is nice too; I wonder if it’s still available. From Dior, I really recommend Homme Intense; it’s very unisex. You have a great weekend too! 🙂✨

Hi there. That’s good to know! It seems to have come back, and I’m glad it’s not discontinued. Thanks for watching.🙂

That’s lovely! I should wear it tomorrow. It’s definitely the kind of fragrance you just don’t want to stop wearing. I love iris too! 🙂🧡

Dior Homme and flankers forever (the older ones) for me! They are soooo goooood! So inventive and wow. Just dreamy! 😊

Dior doesn't do anything for me. It is just a blend of all old perfumes together....
