@JoshtheRVNerd I'm still waiting for the Cougar 22MLS to go ventless on the floor! Can you get on them about that? Otherwise regulardless of manufacturer, this floor plan is top notch! Especially for a Full Timer!
Microwave below the counter level is a deal breaker. I don't want to get on my knees to get to the microwave, put it over the cook top. No-one becomes more limber as they age. Like the" no Knee knocker" dinette. I wonder if the "Non-Ducted " Air will keep the sleeping area cool enough?
Like the queen fine! We always upgrade the mattress, and appreciate the extra walkaround vs. king. Desk like thing instead of the dinette seems like an easy option to offer but we specifically want a dinette. The exact slide system makes the big slide possible, with prayer. Putting stuff on the table does help. Thanks. The double safety windows in the bedroom are a bonus, because you can get ventilation in the rain. ( not to mention escape).
Josh you have the best videos for RV's anywhere on the UA-cam's. I always appreciate you letting us know about road mode. It's important to alot of us. I also am glad you always give us the pros and cons with all of the units.
Might be nice if the TV were attached to the side of the pantry behind the dinette, a bit lower down, facing the bed but able to swing out for sofa viewing. Have to rethink the overhead storage a bit but that can be done.
I love love this floor plan. Having a camper that did not have a dinette we did find we missed having one. We bought a PAssport camper with same Floorplan. The reason we went with passport is it has a wall and sliding door to bedroom. Wish others would add door to bedroom.
Nice overall unit but the toe-stubbing kitchen slide is a no-go... Needs a drop down arm for the TV and I like the idea of a campside bar in lieu of the dinette.. Thanks!
The Embers I always like seeing. I would like a bar option instead of the booth with those flip up windows to be able to hand things outside and have more room in road mode. If I wanted a park model this would be awesome. I would ofcourse still want max solar for boondocking or harvest host type of stops.
Wow! Dinette and recliners! Suggestions: another outside storage area (doesn't have to be huge) Outdoor kitchen or at least a propane cooker hooker. Can live without the oven. Move the microwave higher to avoid the dreaded cooking on our knees! If I was upgrading our current couples camper, we would be looking hard at this one!
IMO, and I may not be in the majority, I think a couples camper doesn't even need a dinette at all. If the theatre seating had individual fold away tables for each seat, that would be preferrable to me. Then, the TV could be larger, mounted lower and possibly add an electric fireplace. The TV/Fireplace wall could include storage behind it and if the wall could swing towards the bed, it would make it doubly useful. That would be a nice added feature that is normally only found in much larger RVs. You would lose a window with that option, but I personally would like that kind of layout.
I generally agree. That’s kind of why I’m so interested in things like breakfast bars. It certainly not for everyone. Everyone camps differently and I don’t think donuts have no place whatsoever in couples camping, but it’s not something I personally feel I need there.
Nope, I want to sit for a meal, like in a restaurant, not make a plate and sit back on a recliner. Not putting down your choices, just representing the other side. The vast number of trailers, and virtually all fivers recognize these preferences and provide a table or dinette.
I am slowly but surely falling in love with the Ember line of trailers. This trailer could be a nice couple’s trailer. What would make it even nicer couples’ trailer is to have a fireplace where the dinette is. Secondly, this has the potential of being a true Outdoor couple’s trailer, is to have some way to lift up the end of the bed, not so much a Murphy bed, but to lift it up and support it where you can put bikes inside or other sports equipment and tie them down.
What you’re describing is actually a lot of what they’re touring addition models do. I am actually encouraging them to make a version of this floorplan, in touring addition with a private bedroom.
So Josh mentioned that having the TV mounted high might be a negative. Well if you wear bifocals, especially progressives, and you are reclined, it is easier to watch TV if it is higher
I love smaller trailer with both theater seating (recliners) AND dinette. We spend a lot of time at the dinette, chatting over coffee, doing a bit of work, and then eating meals at the dinette. We want to downsize but REALLY want both.
Loved how the dinette is easily removable so the owner can put in a desk or bar. I would add a window in the entry door. Prefer cuddle compliant loveseat swaption. Would love a video on how a cable can both pull and push a slide (magic?) Otherwise, perfect!
Impressive. Like the number of kitchen drawers, excellent bed access and storage. Would like to see a table/chair or the shelf/desk option, too. Love the elevated battery cut off switche in the pass through. HATE the lack of kitchen trash storage and, no, I don 't want to distrub somebody on the toilet to dump left-over string beans in there. Overall and excellent unit worth consideration. For the quality, it is worth the price. Thanks Josh!
This is nice. The tv needs to be able to lower and swivel more. Also, they could add lagoon tables to the theatre seating, replacing the dinette with coffee bar and stools or more storage (I'd take the storage). Yeah, I would use the one garbage can in the bathroom in the kitchen also and the Murphy bed would be nice. I'm especially glad that someone is using something other than blue lights. Love the amber, Ember! Thanks Josh!
I agree on the desk instead of dinette, possibly with a televator for lower tv viewing if a drop down tv isn't feasible. Also don't like the microwave down low, it's too hard to access. Otherwise, I really like this one. Hard NO on kitchen trash in the bathroom if 2 people exist in the space.
I think that one like this without the table and in its place put a shelf large enough to function as the table would be great. Then you could use a televator and get the TV off the roof.
Yeah that was my first thought as well. Instead of the dinette, I would love a desk space. After seeing the other embers that have the desk/bunk converter, I've been hoping ember would break the mold again and give more desk options.
What's not to love about this one?!?! The 2 things I like to see added are deep rollout storage drawers under the dinette seats and under mount the bathroom sink with a removable cover.
Wow!! That’s a terrific update! I would enthusiastically embrace such a model that covers those east shortfalls. Could easily become a competitor to snatch the title “Favorite Couple’s model”. Thanks, Nerd!!
Lots of weight for a cable system…Accu slide or Exact slide? Great floor plan for us. Someone will offer water heater options, and sell more campers. Thanks for naming other options!
*Hi Uncle Josh!* This is really close to the kind of camper we are looking for! Here's what I think about it: *2024 EMBER 22MLQ TRAILER* *What I love:* - Those 6' 10" ceilings are awesome! I wish all trailers would just go up to 7', but I'll take what I can get! - No carpets, no vents! YES! - The interior design is simple and effective, nicely done. - Wireless phone charger! - Table mounted on the wall! Not sure how solid that is, but it's a move in the right direct. - For a small kitchen, it's pretty good! Great outlet locations in the kitchen area! - A real queen bed! YES!!! Thank you Ember! - A very nice back-splash in the kitchen sink area. - The entire exterior is first class. Way to go Ember! - The A/C seems like quite a step-up. *What They Can Do Better:* - Make a breakfast bar OPTIONAL, for those who want it, in place of the dinette. - Make a free floating table and a couple of chairs in place of the dinette, for those who like that better. - The bathroom is too small for my tastes. Wish there was a way to make it bigger. - I would prefer that there be no TV mounted at all, just leave the wiring for those who need one. - Find a way to squeeze in a spot for proper waste can in the kitchen. - Make for an optional Murphy Bed for those who need one. - The dinette area needs outlets badly! *Deal Killers:* - I absolutely HATE the location of the electric oven. Mount it ABOVE, not BELOW. - I absolutely HATE the location of the outlets in the bed area. They need a far better design than what they are giving us. - I do not like an all-electric camper for a variety of reasons, but it's a "soft" deal killer. - PUT A WINDOW IN THAT DOOR!!! RIGHT NOW!!! *Conclusion:* - Not a perfect camper for my needs, there are other Ember models that do better. NO DEAL. - But I do like what they are trying to do here, and I think it's a good "entry level" camper for a couple just starting out. - Even though it's not my perfect camper, I'd sill like to see one in person. Thanks again Uncle Josh, You are THE BEST! You give us the best information in the business, and I greatly appreciate it.
As far as bed? Definately love the NON-murphy. IF there could be choices? I like the idea of 2 twins with the capability to turn it King...I use my RV, but I also let my aunt and sister stay in it when at the campground. It's be nice to have sleeping accommodations for non-couples.. NICE! HOW did they make that bathroom bigger? Other makers need to follow their lead. Thanks Josh
Like the layout, like you using your "props" to show the size of and relationship to things, and really like the bar/desk option instead of the dinette although my wife likes the dinette to sit across from each other to play cards or gaze lovingly into each other's eyes while we eat. LOL!
Absolutely! Need the chairs instead of dinnette for work and large dog reasons. Also, to make my wife happy, it would be great if the bedroom curtain track could come out much further to create an area she can get dressed in so every window curtain doesn't need to be closed.
I really like the shape of this, inside, it doesn't feel as if it's just a rectangular box. I'm torn about the Murphy bed, I like things having more than one function. Although as you say about the size of the bed, and the depth of the mattress, that makes me lean towards this plan. A privacy curtain seems a little pointless unless you have a hide a bed of some kind. If there was an option for a screen rather than a curtain, I feel a curtain feels flimsy and temporary. This really feels like it's a 1-2 person camper. I like the hidden areas behind the cupboards, my phone, keys, purse etc would feel safer there lol. I like the kitchen in this one, I think it has some good storage, and counter space. I watch so many of these videos, especially yours, that I'm sure I could get a job in the industry lol! Overall though, I think Ember are doing a pretty good job. #nerdherd #RVnerdherd
I would love to see a bar with two stools and a cabinet in the middle with a pull out trash container or room for one. LOVE Ember's cabinets/wood tone/hardware/backsplash. I think they could step it up a little by going with a new floor, the herringbone looks a little tired. Also, taking a note from the Ibex RV Suites and their modern interiors. I think a little more style in the Embers would be great. The tv definitely needs to swing down or be in a televator. A twin bed option would be AMAZING; however, as you know, my husband and I prefer the camp queens. Cue the song short people.☺
I do like the color pallette in this trailer. Nice contrast! A CalKing sized bed would be nice on this, and in more trailers, with easy in and out and walk around. Also, Josh, I sent you videos on my response from your 2022 Artic Fox 28F video. I think your nerdiness will be fascinated with them :)
A Murphy bed would set this apart from everyone! Loads of seating space is always a plus! Then ; as the person mentioned below, turn the dinette into a bar/desk like seating!
LOVE how you mentioned the sleep number bed. I'm looking for my first travel trailer, I'm a single guy but not sure how I like the studio vibe. I'll be full time living and I want to be able to bring my 55" TV with me, but another thing I'm 6'4 so finding a shower that's tall enough but I also have a lot of back issues and I need to have a shower big enough to have a seat in the shower or one that has a small place I can sit since my legs tend to give out and it's better to fall onto a seat rather than going all the way down but definitely has to be a dry bathroom. And I want to look at getting a diesel escalade with the air ride suspension so it'll have the power and it won't squat with a load and plenty of power since the 3.0 duramax can be modded for more power. But another thing, I'm in Las Vegas so summer time is in the 120° air Temps and the winters will get into the 20° or colder for the winter nights. And my dad is helping me with the travel trailer part and if I start doing uber again I'll be getting myself the escalade so I can maximize my money. But what would you think would be the right Travel trailer for me?
Maybe mount the TV on the pantry wall by the dinette. Then, it would be lower, you'd gain the storage where the TV was, and it could be viewed by the theater seats and half of the dinette.
Hi Josh! This Ember is very nice. Just don’t like dinette. I agree with you to put a bar desk there to replace the dinette. Thank you Josh for showing this Rv. Very nice and spacious. You can get access to everything.
While I like what Ember's been doing, I couldn't see myself in one. Until now. I like what they did here. As a potential solo camper, I don't need a lot of room. Thanks, Josh
Also there's plenty of overhead cabinets above the sink area. Move the microwave to above the cooktop and make a pull out for a garbage can below where the microwave currently is. ezpz
Definitely would love bar/desk options instead of boothe/table along adjustable tv arm . Will Ember consider doing small 5th wheel units in the future?
I know this is the E series, but in our opinion it lacks personality. For us, a lot of the charm that drew us in to liking Embers from the beginning was features like the stargazer skylight, which this line doesn't have. We want to like this one, but it feels so plain vanilla when it should feel like an Ember. Thanks for the video, Uncle Josh!
Thank you for your comment. The E-Series was meant to bring as much Ember innovation, style, design, and quality as possible to a more affordable price point. The "E" stands for essential. While we'd argue that it's not exactly "plain vanilla" (more of a gourmet French vanilla bean), we understand that stance when compared to the rest of our product lineup!
I like the dinette having a option would be nice. If I were to get a camper with a slide it would be a swallow one . Didn't like the sharp corner on the cabinet next to the door.
Since there are no utilities under the dinette i think it would be awesome to put the theater seating on that side. Then turn the slide out space into a pantry entertainment center possible closet. With that you can lose the side hanging space and put in a king bed. That must have ambers awesome dust you were choking on lol.
I like the bar idea instead of the dinette, or maybe a solid bench along the wall side with 2 chairs on the other side instead of the other bench seat. Id like to see an accorden door going across the bedroom area, and i like the idea of twin beds. I love theater seats. Are they heated? With massage? Is there an option to get that? Yes it is helpful to see the true scale. Im not to worried about a trashcan, i usually hang a heavy duty walmart bag on a cupboard handle for trash. It could pass for kitchen garbage but i wouldnt do it. I really like this floor plan. Twin beds would make it much better at least for me. Is there a 30lb propane tank option? I like the spare tire on the back like a jeep. Im too old ti climb underneith to lower that tire and put the flat back up there. Everything you tell us is important, informitive and just plain fun🤪My favorite RV Nerd
I love this camper. The more I watch videos like this and go to RV shows I like this one even more. The bathroom for me sets it apart from the others. I am how you say “fluffy” 😂 and I fit in this bathroom great. I would like to see an outdoor fridge. I will be in the market next year. Thank you for your videos I watch them a lot. You cover stuff that most don’t.
Josh, We love this layout. However we like the Cougar 22MLS front window. The closet in the GD 22MLE is amazing. The Jayco 225MLS needs doors on overhead bed storage. What other manufacturer's make this layout? I know I'm missing some. One of them is bound to have everything. Thank's so much. Your videos are great.
Admittedly, almost everyone makes this layout... but we still think ours stands out with bigger AC, bigger/better tires, larger pantry, taller ceiling height (more overhead storage), dedicated shoe storage, space for a trash can under the sink, great travel mode access, Azdel exterior walls, and more!
Wow - that looked so much like our 22MLE - even near same weights (did a triple take through the #’s!). My only dislike is Ember cut the of cooking elements (-1 burner & convection micro vs. regular oven & microwave). My wife and I travel distance, and being out for a few weeks we do occasionally use the propane oven and frequently use 2 burners. Perhaps they had to put the convection micro below b/c it needed more cabinet depth, but b/c we do use the oven AND the microwave (sometimes both for a meal) so giving up the propane oven is a deficiency for us. Seems like very good build quality! Like the better stabilizers too!
Have you ever had one of those "what the hell am I doing??" moments? I'm having one now. I'm looking HARD at an Imagine XLS, including a factory tour. This line from Ember dominates what GD is building IMO. Like, leather gimp suit level domination. Like, Zed would be a fan. Now I have to rethink everything.
nice video. Like the other manufacture floor plans like this i would dump the dinette and add some sort of bar stole combo along that wall. Personally i hate looking at a TV when not in use. Could add TV lift with fire place and narrow counter top along that wall. The pantry is so deep i wonder if it could be shorten and some sort of drawer system or shelves could be added similar to some other models have done with the empty space behind refrigerators. I would like to see the skylight in the bathroom go away since it looks like it is not needed and maybe a side window added for some cross breeze. Whats the deal with no window in the door? that an easy aftermarket add on, might as well putt it in @ the factory. nice video.
Josh: If Ember still wants to be different than the run of the mill RV makers, then they could be the first to actually test the slideouts for use and functionality while retracted. Marketing a trailer as ‘SLIDE OUTS CAN BE USED IN TRANSIT” would seem to be a big sales advantage over other manufactures who don’t or won’t spend the time, money and engineering resources to modify, beef-up and verify a slide’s usefulness while retracted. Or if Ember wanted to do something totally different and unique, they could consider making the slideout an option for those folks willing to pay the exter cost. Respectfully, (still a dyed in the wool slide skeptic) W.S
Vid is three hours old but I love the lively comments already coming in. I’m now subscribed. I don’t own an RV so I’m researching but I have to ask what is a no knee knocker? I’m assuming there’s a dinette design where you whack your knees on things, right?
22:04 - I have to say as a camper noob, but with a pretty good mechanical background, I see pictures like this and the tires look inadequate, as do the leaf-springs for the weight that they need to carry. Is it just me or does anyone else think likewise?
Uhhgggh! Yea the stove/lack of oven is a deal breaker. That air fryer would only work on shore power I assume? Or one heck of a battery/inverter setup? Otherwise I love it. Magic wand! 3 or 4 burner top with oven propane stove.
I really like this model and version. They did finally get the bath right much improved over other manufacturers models for the bathroom. I love the Amber lights and I wish other manufactured would use them Only real complaint is I would like to see a window in the door All that being said it's probably too much for me to be able to tow
Due to the size of this unit I think a Murphy bed makes more sense in this layout. However, some folks really hate them. So give them the option for either!
I would choose the Cougar 22MLS over this one. I like the cabinetry and color scheme on this model. Love the larger AC unit. The kitchen is a deal breaker because it doesn't have a full sized stove and oven. Also, there is no way I'm going to microwave anything on my knees. There is a lot going for this model, but it needs some tweaks.
@0:50 I love the two large overhead cabinets doors for easy loading and unloading items not three or four tiny doors that just add extra cost and weight to a r-v . Choking on thin air yep your a dog person a cat person would have coughed and said fur ball !! 😅
I would love all RV manufacturers to offer a bar/ desk option instead of a dinette if they already have recliners.
Thank you I think it would be awesome
Agreed!
@JoshtheRVNerd I'm still waiting for the Cougar 22MLS to go ventless on the floor! Can you get on them about that? Otherwise regulardless of manufacturer, this floor plan is top notch! Especially for a Full Timer!
100% agree
Yes, a bar and stools instead of a dinette.
You are the only floor plan that got the toilet right!
Thank you for noticing!
Ty! I think they did well too
I definitely would love a bar desk setup instead of the dinette
Ty for the feedback
Microwave below the counter level is a deal breaker. I don't want to get on my knees to get to the microwave, put it over the cook top. No-one becomes more limber as they age. Like the" no Knee knocker" dinette. I wonder if the "Non-Ducted " Air will keep the sleeping area cool enough?
The AC on this floor plan is 18k BTU -- bigger than many fifth wheels use! It is ducted to the bathroom, but the main room will be quite cool!
Thanks for your comments!
Bar desk with a pop up TV would be cool.
Definitely
Ty!
THIS!
I was thinking the same thing... Don't bring the TV down... hide it when not in use, and then pop it up in front of the window when you want it!!
WeeEa
Replace the booth dinette with a bar and ditch the slide. There's plenty of room without the slide open, the kitchen just needs some tweaks.
Ty
Josh you have the best videos for RV's anywhere on the UA-cam's. I always appreciate you letting us know about road mode. It's important to alot of us. I also am glad you always give us the pros and cons with all of the units.
I appreciate that! Thank you for watching!
TV swing arm toward bed would be nice. Tilt toward theater seats nice also.
Agree! TY
LOVE THE FLOOR PLAN. WOULD LIKE TO SEE AN OVEN AND A HIGHER PLACED MICROWAVE!
Thanks for your feedback!
Might be nice if the TV were attached to the side of the pantry behind the dinette, a bit lower down, facing the bed but able to swing out for sofa viewing. Have to rethink the overhead storage a bit but that can be done.
I can't help it, I love Ember ❤
☺
We GET it. Thanks for the LOVE.
I love love this floor plan. Having a camper that did not have a dinette we did find we missed having one. We bought a PAssport camper with same Floorplan. The reason we went with passport is it has a wall and sliding door to bedroom. Wish others would add door to bedroom.
Bullet does the door as well but it's a sister to the passport so that makes sense
Nice overall unit but the toe-stubbing kitchen slide is a no-go... Needs a drop down arm for the TV and I like the idea of a campside bar in lieu of the dinette.. Thanks!
Fair enough! Ty

If I wanted a park model this would be awesome. I would ofcourse still want max solar for boondocking or harvest host type of stops.
Best one yet
Wow ty
We agree! this floor plan is awesome! Come see one?
Yes, an extended bar that can be used as a desk would be awesome!
I agree! Ty
Nicely done. A usable kitchen sink and a usable bathroom….
Thank you! 😊
Wow! Dinette and recliners! Suggestions: another outside storage area (doesn't have to be huge) Outdoor kitchen or at least a propane cooker hooker. Can live without the oven. Love the layout! Two changes...propane cook top and no theatre seats...especially with dogs. Replace with love seat...No place to snuggle!
👍🏻 Ty Karen
So Josh mentioned that having the TV mounted high might be a negative. Well if you wear bifocals, especially progressives, and you are reclined, it is easier to watch TV if it is higher
love the insight! I dont need bifocals YET but i'm getting there
Nice point!
Love it! Going to look at one this weekend. Garbage can in the kitchen? I see a space for one to sit in front of the pantry.
Once of those flip-lid jobs would work!
Should fit under the sink!
I love smaller trailer with both theater seating (recliners) AND dinette. We spend a lot of time at the dinette, chatting over coffee, doing a bit of work, and then eating meals at the dinette. We want to downsize but REALLY want both.
Short of a Murphy bed model this is about as short as you can get it
Well said, DITTO!
Loved how the dinette is easily removable so the owner can put in a desk or bar.
I would add a window in the entry door.
Prefer cuddle compliant loveseat swaption.
Would love a video on how a cable can both pull and push a slide (magic?)
Otherwise, perfect!
Here you go! m.ua-cam.com/video/3kdVXKtIDks/v-deo.html
Your idea on the desk vs dinette option is exactly what I was going to suggest!
😊

They changed up the kitchen to feature trash storage after I recorded this btw!

Ty!
Went to an RV Show over the weekend and they had this camper, even better looking at the actual RV and putting your hands on it. Loved it!
Yeah camera doesn’t always do them justice
I think that one like this without the table and in its place put a shelf large enough to function as the table would be great. Then you could use a televator and get the TV off the roof.
I think it could be cool to see as well
Could you do a video on the Grand Surveyor 301RKBS. I don't think there's one on the youtubes yet... Would love to see it
I'll definitely watch for it and see if I can't get my hands upon one
Definitely a drop down TV.
Would like the option for a convertible sofa. It's usually just the two of us, but, we do occasionally have the grandkids
You mean a hide a bed? Not trying to be difficult - just asking for clarity
true queen fixed only
👍🏻
Just a breakfast bar, table and chairs and/or sofa “option” for the decades old “Denny’s” diner booth dinette from awesome👍👍👍
Yeah that was my first thought as well. Instead of the dinette, I would love a desk space. After seeing the other embers that have the desk/bunk converter, I've been hoping ember would break the mold again and give more desk options.
Awesome ty
What's not to love about this one?!?!
The 2 things I like to see added are deep rollout storage drawers under the dinette seats and under mount the bathroom sink with a removable cover.
Awesome Ty
Bar desk with popup TV would be Awesome as mentioned below; still like the smaller Ember versions but wish they had tnadem axles...TY
Absolutely the bar instead of dinette. With a Euro window.
I would also like to see a murphy bed option as well.
Vibe does the bar/window you like
Jay Feather does the murphy bed you like
I'm not aware of one brand doing both
Wow!! That’s a terrific update! I would enthusiastically embrace such a model that covers those east shortfalls. Could easily become a competitor to snatch the title “Favorite Couple’s model”. Thanks, Nerd!!
My pleasure! 😊
Lots of weight for a cable system…Accu slide or Exact slide? Great floor plan for us. Someone will offer water heater options, and sell more campers. Thanks for naming other options!
Ember uses exact slide exclusively
@ thanks, you rock!
Exact-Slide is the only version we use.
That whole setup reminds me of my friends grand design imagine.
Hey Josh, there must be smoke in the air down there at ember LoL. You're not the only one that does dad jokes
*Hi Uncle Josh!* This is really close to the kind of camper we are looking for! Here's what I think about it:
*2024 EMBER 22MLQ TRAILER*
*What I love:*
- Those 6' 10" ceilings are awesome! I wish all trailers would just go up to 7', but I'll take what I can get!

- A real queen bed! YES!!! Thank you Ember!
- A very nice back-splash in the kitchen sink area.
- The entire exterior is first class. Way to go Ember!
- The A/C seems like quite a step-up.
*What They Can Do Better:*
- Make a breakfast bar OPTIONAL, for those who want it, in place of the dinette.
*Deal Killers:*
- I absolutely HATE the location of the electric oven.
*Conclusion:*
- Not a perfect camper for my needs, there are other Ember models that do better.
Man.. basic formatting makes this so much easier. Grateful for your UA-cam knowledge
Thanks Josh
They’ve been really creative with their cabinet spacing lately, to allow those bathrooms a little more room
I'd keep table as is but with free standing chairs. With folding chairs away, it would make room for our large dog's bed and bowls.
That'd be cool. Cougar used to offer that for a long time
Like the layout, like you using your "props" to show the size of and relationship to things, and really like the bar/desk option instead of the dinette although my wife likes the dinette to sit across from each other to play cards or gaze lovingly into each other's eyes while we eat. LOL!
I wish I had more of a chance to have size-stuff like that me but I already carry 40-50lbs of crap around when I'm recording and don't need more
I’d like to see this in a Touring Edition.
I would too
I agree vertical tv adjustment and dining arrangement options
Yes. Good to have your stuff there for scale.
Absolutely! Need the chairs instead of dinnette for work and large dog reasons. Also, to make my wife happy, it would be great if the bedroom curtain track could come out much further to create an area she can get dressed in so every window curtain doesn't need to be closed.
It’s a Fair point. Thank you.
Yeah, definitely more of a couples rig
I will have to look to see where they came in. I have been at an RV show all weekend, so it’s been hard to keep up with everything.
A Murphy bed would set this apart from everyone! Loads of seating space is always a plus! Then ; as the person mentioned below, turn the dinette into a bar/desk like seating!
Jay Feather does a version with a murphy you may like! See here: ua-cam.com/video/lGe922bT7cw/v-deo.html
Got my first speeding ticket to the Offspring's Americana album. it was probably the "no brakes" that did me in.
lol
Maybe mount the TV on the pantry wall by the dinette. Then, it would be lower, you'd gain the storage where the TV was, and it could be viewed by the theater seats and half of the dinette.
Would you be OK having it not directly across from the sofa?
@@JoshtheRVNerd my (imaginary) setup would have it on a swing arm, so it wouldn't be too too bad
Hi Josh! This Ember is very nice. Just don’t like dinette. I agree with you to put a bar desk there to replace the dinette. Thank you Josh for showing this Rv. Very nice and spacious. You can get access to everything.
Great rv
How about a twin convertible to a king or queen. And maybe the Ole accordion door for privacy. Nerd On!!!
Love it
While I like what Ember's been doing, I couldn't see myself in one. Until now. I like what they did here. As a potential solo camper, I don't need a lot of room. Thanks, Josh
I feel so similar. Ember is fun but until E-Series they never really made an RV for a guy like me
I wish every manufacturer would get rid of the booth dinette and go with some kind of table set up or counter with chairs or stools
I definitely think there are opportunity fees out there for some other other options
Also there's plenty of overhead cabinets above the sink area. Move the microwave to above the cooktop and make a pull out for a garbage can below where the microwave currently is. ezpz
Nice !! I like it but we need 2 doors , but it is cool !!
May I ask why two doors?
We leave one open with a dog pen and we use the other.@@JoshtheRVNerd
Definitely would love bar/desk options instead of boothe/table along adjustable tv arm . Will Ember consider doing small 5th wheel units in the future?
It’s been discussed yeah
I know this is the E series, but in our opinion it lacks personality. For us, a lot of the charm that drew us in to liking Embers from the beginning was features like the stargazer skylight, which this line doesn't have. We want to like this one, but it feels so plain vanilla when it should feel like an Ember. Thanks for the video, Uncle Josh!
I totally get it
But.. $15,000 or so less than a similar touring is nothing to sneeze at
@@JoshtheRVNerd That's true on a logical level for sure.
The Embers elegance is what drew us over the same layout of the GD which we also found a little darker.
@ thank you for noticing!
Replace the dinette with fireplace and drawers Tv can pop up from behind. Add those folding tables that are attached to slide.
I don't hate that idea..
I like the dinette having a option would be nice. If I were to get a camper with a slide it would be a swallow one . Didn't like the sharp corner on the cabinet next to the door.
TY Samuel
As a seasoned design engineer, modular eating space is key.
I love Brinkley’s new “Dinesk” setup and hope to see more of that out there
Since there are no utilities under the dinette i think it would be awesome to put the theater seating on that side. Then turn the slide out space into a pantry entertainment center possible closet. With that you can lose the side hanging space and put in a king bed. That must have ambers awesome dust you were choking on lol.
Could be interesting..
Ember makes fine products.
I enjoy going thru them!
Siiick!! I wish i could afford that😢 oh well! Soo much cool shit ...soo lil' 💰
Seats are basic recline only with swaptions as far as I know
I love this camper.
I try! TY for watching :)
Josh,
We love this layout.
Man quite a few. I left some links to similar in the description. Bullet, freedom express, and a bunch of others
Love the dinette! Don't love the built in charger in the theater seat. Would rather have a fold up arm.
TY
Nice rv josh. Love the kitchen and living room. Have a good day!
Thanks! You too!

The 22MLE is flat out where this layout comes from. No Question. It's a super popular design across multiple brands now
Ditch the dinette for sure
So nice I had to watch twice😎
ty :)
King bed option? Twin beds? Dinette and tv is perfect.
Currently N/A on this layout but that could be cool
Have you ever had one of those "what the hell am I doing??" moments? I'm having one now. I'm looking HARD at an Imagine XLS, including a factory tour. This line from Ember dominates what GD is building IMO. Like, leather gimp suit level domination. Like, Zed would be a fan. Now I have to rethink everything.
“WTH am I doing” is exactly what I think every day
I love this idea
Finally no Murphy bed
👍🏻
Vid is three hours old but I love the lively comments already coming in. I’m now subscribed. I don’t own an RV so I’m researching but I have to ask what is a no knee knocker? I’m assuming there’s a dinette design where you whack your knees on things, right?
I have a bunch of my own little phases and -isms
Dinettes where you easily bump your legs like the post-styles I call knee knockers
Josh I love that no knee knocker Dinette 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😊😊
Same!
Josh, if I want to replace the theater seats with a cuddle compliant small sofa/loveseat, is the entry door wide enough for me to do this?
As long as the furniture can be brought into the rv in pieces you’re likely ok
Like taking the back off before loading
The only thing I would suggest is making the bedroom private, like the Passport 229RK, or even the way the Coachman Apex Ultralight 215RBK does
Fair. TY
More Offspring references please 😂😂 they could be your music through and intro!
lol will do
22:04 - I have to say as a camper noob, but with a pretty good mechanical background, I see pictures like this and the tires look inadequate, as do the leaf-springs for the weight that they need to carry. Is it just me or does anyone else think likewise?
Tires have to be able to meet or exceed the rvs gvwr by 10% btw
Leaf spring is not my favorite certainly
Uhhgggh! Yea the stove/lack of oven is a deal breaker. That air fryer would only work on shore power I assume? Or one heck of a battery/inverter setup? Otherwise I love it. Magic wand! 3 or 4 burner top with oven propane stove.
Air fryer definitely shore power or generator yeah. It really pulls the juice
I really like this model and version. They did finally get the bath right much improved over other manufacturers models for the bathroom.
I love the Amber lights and I wish other manufactured would use them
Only real complaint is I would like to see a window in the door
All that being said it's probably too much for me to be able to tow
I would also like the option to have a bar replace the dinette
Yeah window in the door would be nice
Due to the size of this unit I think a Murphy bed makes more sense in this layout. However, some folks really hate them. So give them the option for either!
👍🏻 ty
I like the way it is now, re: bed. But with twins. Preferably Swedish.
❤Ember.
☺
