ℹ️ About the Episode: Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow this year! Normally, we would know whether to predict an early spring based on the groundhog seeing his shadow. We have a much more reliable method... your emails! As a result of so many emails from people planning their spring and summer trips, we looked up what happened on February 2nd (Groundhog Day) and even Phil agrees... spring is coming early! If you happen to be planning a National Park trip through the Tetons, Yellowstone, or Glacier-or all three-this 10-Day Travel Itinerary should help. In this episode, we cover the three most popular National Parks in the Mountain Region of the States, where to stay, and what to do. We also share some tips to make your trip even better. We don't normally ask for "likes,” but we really wanted to know if content like this is helpful to the community. If we get over 10,000 likes, we'll start working on the next one! We're not planning on going overboard, but maybe every six weeks or so, we can use our travel experience to share some insights on unforgettable 10-day trips.

This is exactly the sort of content that made KYD great in our eyes. Traveling, going places, exploring areas new and old, giving travel information with lessons learned, makes for interesting viewing. We believe this is where KYD's roots are. Please do more. John & Patti.
Yes, we stopped watching cuz it was all rigs and such. Subbed originally because they travelled and hiked.
0:21 Dogs are not allowed on the trails in the National Parks and it is irresponsible of you to show hiking with your dog in the park. IF it was filmed outside the park, you should have said so and made it clear what the rules are.
@@pjreads5014 OK Karen!
Yeah but another lame narrative instead of the actual trip. 😂
@@dlee9079 I think you mean a compilation of reruns instead of an actual trip....
The United States is truly beautiful. The nature, the animals, the people, the road trips one can take all over the states, The food (yes any food can be cooked here), the hospitality and diversity and etc.
Our Itinerary last year was: Enter Yellowstone from Cody, Wy. 1 Day in the park, Then to Jackson Hole. Three days in the Tetons. Then hit the west side of the Teton Range. Up the Salmon River Gorge to Missoula. Then 2 Days in Glacier. Was an AMAZING trip!
Yes, the early days of KYD were magical. Of course now it is expensive to get a permit to record in each national park. That’s why this was all old footage.
Did a 30 day trip, started with a hike down into the Grand Canyon; short layover in St George, to visit family; northward to Yellowstone for a week; across ID to Craters of the Moon; to Lake Tahoe for a few days; then to Yosemite back country for another week; a visit to Ft Ord to see my brother finish basic, and see more family. Cost was $35 each for 3 of us, in 1971, gas money.
We moved from CA, to Wyoming, 2 years ago and don't regret it for a second. We now have 2 cows. Who would've thunk I'd ever have cows? One day our paths will cross and I'll give you guys my autograph.
Now that I am retired I have been spending the past few summers working in Yellowstone National Park. This summer I will be working at Lake Lodge front desk.
Keep doing these videos even if you do not get 10K likes! The biggest problem I have on planning a trip is how long to spend in each. This video is a good introduction into those parks, then can be adapted for longer stays.
yes that's tricky. i would say spend as much time in Yellowstone as possible. you won't regret it
I thought it was your best series ever when you did this in season 9. This is going to be an awesome year!
I thought so too as we were going through the footage. We need to go back!
Oh the memories ❤
I’ve been out there several times on the back of a Harley Davidson and boy oh boy, the views were amazing with no obstruction !!! We didn’t camp or cook out, did hotels/cabins and restaurants but on a motorcycle you can cover a lot of ground…..it was absolutely amazing !
You can’t take your RV but take a drive and do Bear tooth Pass, you’ll see cook and Red Lodge too, historic towns and pass that makes you wonder how people survived back then and built what they did, it’s amazing!
I’m so excited for the season to begin…..after you get Tori married ❤
Blessings
I love Sundays, cook a good meal and watch KYD
The little area with the cattle/ and the store is Daniel, out of Pindale heading towards Jackson.. grew up spending summers working over there.. love the area. Took Yellowstone/ Jackson, and the Tetons for granted. I miss not seeing it early in the year (May) late in the summer.. but you guys need to go in during the winter. Totally different.. I also miss seeing real snow..
I'll be workamping this summer at the Cody KOA Holiday, so we'll be playing in Yellowstone all summer. We leave in 6 weeks and can't wait! Yellowstone has been a bucket list place for us! We plan on going to the Tetons, and with me having a veterans lifetime pass makes it awesome
The big 3… is absolutely amazing, but we have never found 5 days enough time to really enjoy Glacier. I would recommend anyone who is traveling a long distance, to try and schedule at least 2 weeks or more to really get to know the parks.
yup.....that is about as good as it gets for sure. That would make an excellent 10 days without a doubt, although there is enough to do that you could reverse course and do another 10 days there, and then do it all again :) We are heading out on April 15 with no firm plans. Just going to go and find stuff. Can hardly wait. As always, safe travels, and hopefully the prep of your new rig is coming along well.
So true! Thanks.
Spectacular "narration Trish" on the ''retroactive" of family Western style thru & thru the mountainous roundabouts💯. Utterly captured captivating ..... continued history in the making 🏞️🏔️🛣️. 🎞️📽️🎬
I would love to see your content of Columbia River gorge, Mount Saint Helens, Mount Rainier and N. Cascades Highway
We were at all of these this past summer except the Grand Tetons. The only difference is we spent a month in Glacier. It was so totally worth it. Lynn and Danny
Yellowstone is the most amazing place I have every been in my life, spent just over a week hiking, biking and enjoying it. I was there when covid just started and the park was EMPTY, saw every animal imaginable and just can't imagine it would be as amazing a 2nd time around... My son and I even got to see 4 separate geyser eruptions in less than 10 minutes as we ran a trail near old faithful and the eruptions just "lined up", it was surreal.
Acadia National Park is on the top of my bucket list. I'm a New England guy. You always say, start with your backyard.
We live in Illinois and are drawn back to Yellowstone and The Tetons every 5 years (or less). Camping is the way to go there.
Thanks for the inspiration - My vote is for the Olympic, Mt Rainier, Crater Lake, North Cascades or the Utah NPs
Loved this video. It’s been awhile since you have shown the kids when you first started RVing and it’s really fun to see!! Happy wedding to Victoria!! Wishing her and her new soon to be husband all the best!! 👏👏❤️👏👏
I was fortunate to travel through these three National Parks as I travelled from Canada to Yellowstone , south through the Tetons and then looped around to return through Glacier and Yoho back to Canada. A magical journey that I would like to travel again as there are always more places to explore and never enough time! Your assessments are always bang on and I appreciate all of your recommendations for things to see, places to visit and activities to partake in along the way. Thank you for sharing your extensive knowledge.
Just got back from Yellowstone. Yup, in February. Seeing the park in winter on a snowmobile is simply amazing.
Great video and content. We tried the Yellowstone, Teton, and Glacier itinerary in 2020 and had it planned out. However, Glacier was closed down that year. So, we pivoted to Idaho's City of Rocks instead (highly recommend). We were able to fit Glacier in our 2021 travels (amazing). For a future video, maybe you could have a West Coast itinerary? In 2021, we spent about 3 weeks in the west coast states. We feel like we experienced a lot but only touched the surface of all there was see and do. We just spent a few days each in the big parks (Rainier, Olympic, Redwoods, Crater, and Yosemite). We definitely would like to go back to the west coast.
Nice throwbacks with the young ins. Makes me realize how long I've been following you. ... Loved this video. This is just the trip I'm dreaming of doing next year. I'll be turning 50 in Feb of 25, and this is a big bucket list trip we want to spend 2 weeks on. This year, I'm focusing on fitness to get my body in shape for the hiking. The goal is to loose "50 by 50", so 50 lbs before I turn 50. Easy enough. Keep it simple, not going crazy so it's easy to maintain. Already 10lbs lighter then I was on Jan 1st just with diet changes (no sugar and soda) and portion control (not feeling like I have to eat it all to not be rude, impolite, or wasteful). ... Thanks for the inspiration and tips!
Thank you! I'm camping in the Tetons and Yellowstone this September (3 and 4 full days, respectively). Loved the ideas and teaser video!!
I always love your videos. You two do it right and I'm always amazed watching . Thanks for the many years of time that I know you two have put into every video. I love them all God Bless your family .
This is a wonderful video with so many great recommendations of how to divide up these three huge National Parks. It was fun to see the kids in their "younger" days enjoying your trips. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us this KYD season. Hope you're all well & thanks for sharing.
I have been watching your channel since the beginning and I am enjoying the snippets with your kids as young whipper snappers😁. I am hoping to get to Glacier this year so your video was perfect timing!
Beautiful ❤ you all!! Thank you for sharing your family's journey
Now we’re rollin…! You guys rock!
Thank you. Blessings
So beautiful. Makes me want to go back!!!
Love it! I’ve been to all three of these parks, but I always see something I missed in your videos. Plus it brings back wonderful memories of my time there.
Wow I loved this style of video! GREAT JOB!
Great travel plans and Trish's narration is so informative and inviting. Thank you.
love this! We need so much planning help. I get so overwhelmed trying to make plans for road trips. Thanks for your content and work for us! Sooo appreciated ❤
I live close to Yellowstone and Grand Teton and have been to both of them more times than I can remember. In fact I will go to Grand Teton this upcoming week so I can see the Elk in their refuge and the Tetons covered with snow. They are just stunning places. I have only been to Glacier once, time to get back up there. Great video!!
Yes, more please. Wife isn’t wild about southwest travel so I love sharing your travels. Additionally, the wedding is a hard call. As a pastor I only allow a video of the vows to be made from an unmanned tripod. It’s still a sacred event between God, the bride and the groom. We have enjoyed watching your family grow and major milestones invite us to share your joy, and know how to pray for you all.
This video definitely was a lot of work to put together. It's so amazing you guys have so many years of footage of epic adventures. I can't wait to be back in this area this spring. Safe travels, friends!
Great job team. I could spend weeks in those parks hitting the trails, lakes and sites. A photo paradise.
Exactly what appeals to me. Please do more like this.
Loved this episode. Went to the Tetons and Yellowstone with parents when I was 11. Haven’t been back yet, as I live in CA, but my wife said she’s down, and we should plan for it in the next couple of years. I would love to see Glacier as well. Looks like a great itinerary. Thanks guys and be safe.
Loving the adventures and can’t wait till we can venture further from
Home once retired. Thank you for sharing your lives.
So excited for this episode ❤
All of these is on my bucket list how completely beautiful
We have visited Yellowstone and the Tetons. This year, we will be revisiting them and making our first visit to Glacier. We loved the info and suggestions!
Last summer your previous Glacier NP videos convinced me to take the family on an RV trek from SoCal to Glacier and Yellowstone. We spent 2 weeks doing the entire trip. I never got around to leaving a comment on your other videos to say “thank you” for your content. It really inspired us to dream big and make the epic RV drive with our travel trailer to Glacier. It was an amazing trip and we can’t wait to go back. We wouldn’t have done it if not for your content. We even stayed at West Glacier RV park since we saw how amazing it looked on your videos. We even wore our 2023 KYD “Summer to Remember” shirts at various points during the trip.
Watching your family all these years on your travels, I am so getting older as all your children are adults now! Time fly's you two! Enjoy each day!
LOVED YELLOWSTONE...We went in 2020..Just went over the Tetons,....but WOW...Trip of a lifetime for us...and hope that we can go back one day and head onto Glacier..
Love watching your beautiful family maturing. The best on You Tube!
Great recap of these beautiful national parks.
Breathtaking. ❤❤
Absolutely amazing 🤩
Appreciate the recap. Nice easy vid to start a plan.
And fyi i enjoy all your vids from rigs to gadgets (man stuff) to the organization command hooks (woman stuff). Vids like this and detailed ones about a specific place. I enjoyed them all!
Love these types of videos!!
Wow! Thank you so much! We are planning a May-June trip. This is so helpful.
Thank you so much! I'm taking the month of July off to take my family to these national parks. So excited!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing this video! Great information here. We have a trip through all three parks planned for the summer with camping in the parks already booked for our Roadtrek. Can’t wait!
Planning Grand Tetons and Yellowstone this summer so this was really helpful. Thanks.
Great timing! We are planning our Yellowstone trip with my parents right now. No RV but 5 crazy people in a van!
Cant wait for next adventure!
Loved the itinerary format. Lots of great ideas.
Awesome episode. We loved yellowstone.
Saved this video for Our planning- LOVE IT! 😊. Thanks
What a great itinerary. Thanks so much. Have to do the Mighty 5 next
Thank you! I'm planning a week at each one of these locations in April! I'm following your recommendation for sure!
We hit those 3 this last year...epic trip! Great video!
Love these! Helps plan vacation trips.
Great video as usual. So fun the kids "little" again. I did enjoy the 10 day tour, & having visited these parks I have to say you touched some great spots! Would love to see other 10 day destinations must see's.
We loved staying in Gardiner near the Roosevelt entrance at the RV Park on the hill. We had a permanent elk in the RV park. The elk and calves gather at the elementary school field! Great viewing.
Congrats to Victoria. We'd like an episode where the trio of your kids speak to how they feel off the road, what they miss, don't miss, will they travel with their fam. Happy trails!
That would be a lot of fun!
thanks so much! we are taking 2 grandsons to yellowstone this year!❤
We'll be starting this trip this summer after doing a meet up in Colorado..and ending in Cranbrook BC..can't wait..perfect timing ..thanks for sharing!
Really enjoyed this one, helpful and informative. Makes me want to go!! Looking forward to the next one!
Love the info provided please continue
Great Video!
Beautiful footage and great information! 👌
Heading to Glacier and Yellowstone this year. Love the previews.
love, love this video! We are planning a trip from Atlanta Ga. to Montana and Wyoming this May. It was good to get a "number of days" to spend there. Thanks so much
One of your best episodes! I love this format, it's very inviting and approachable for those new to KYD. If I ever want to share an episode with someone who's new to KYD, it will be this one! Liked on all 3 of my UA-cam accounts.
Bring back memories when we was out there, think it was in 2016.
Love all your stuff and places you have been.
`THANKS., NICELY DONE!
I need to do this trip again! I did a similar trip back in 2006.
Now I know why you had a big stack of your hard drives out on the table. 🙂
Great job!
Hello my favorite YTers of all time. The KYD FAMILY!!! Happy funday Sunday!!
Loved those parks! Hope to go back someday
Beautiful
If I ever get to any of these places, I won't want to leave. Ever.
This is a great review. Thanks.😊
Very helpful information, Thank you!
Having lived in that part of Montana if you are going from Yellowstone to Glacier it makes more sense to go to the east side first. BTW for those who have never been there logan pass (going to the sun road) normally does not open until late June or early July.
Good points.
South west. Especially desserts in spring.
I would love to see more of this as it is helpful in planning my trips. There is so much to see that it can be overwhelming trying to plan what to see and where to go. I'm hoping you do a "trip"in the Midwest which is where I'm based.
Love this! Can’t wait for the next one. Hopefully some Colorado spots. Keep up the great work!
Florida :) we are here and with so much to see we don’t know the best routine. We’ve passed St. Augustine and actually passed thru there for a night but still hasn’t been a tourist there lol
I have to confess I haven’t watched for awhile because it didn’t seem like you were doing much camping. This is exactly why we started watching and LOVE it!! Need tips from the pros, might also include any fees or permits needed to get into the parks. Thank you
I used too live in Kalispell, Montana and so glacier was right next to me I love it there
Every single KYD video puts a smile on my face . This was epic. Thank you Marc Trish Caleb Charlie and the other two who’s names escape me. Well done
Carson ! I remembered.
Victoria
