I really wanted a separate bedroom but I could live with the curtain because I frikking love all the campside windows. The rack and pinion slide was a very unexpected wonderful surprise.
I'll give this one a 90 out of 100. If they can figure out how to make this with a rectangular shower, it would get at least a 95. Make it easier to play games and it gets a 99. This is so well thought out. The curtain being on the camp side makes a difference. The hot\cold outside spray ports in THREE locations is something that I don't recall seeing before. The ladder is great. I'm all in on permanent ladders with a higher weight rating. We own an RV that has no provisions for a ladder an it stinks. But best of all no Princess bed! Thanks for another great video, Uncle Josh!
I think that is one of the best couples' campers I've seen in a while. Straight to the point simple camper with all you could need. Windows, floor space, storage and more. Bet it will be a good seller.
I've seen requests like this before and I can definitely see it. it makes sense. Rockwood tried it on this layout and weirdly it was incredibly unpopular
As an rv tech , alliance has a great warranty dept. If needed they are only brand I recommend I've worked with them several times and they back up their products. I'm not affiliated with them and get nothing by recommending them that's just my experiences
This is a very nice couples trailer. I like their execution of this floor plan. I’ll be checking my local Bish’s here to see if they have it. Great job nerd. I still prefer your reviews over others.
Love the hooks on the bathroom door. Maybe I’m a weirdo but a drop down shelf on the door to put your dry clothes for showering would be awesome! The sink counter is small and wet usually and the toilet is a nope🤦♀️.
This is definitely one we will have to do a walk thru on! Hope they will have one at Hershey. We finally made the trip to Bosh’s to check it out today and it was everything we hoped, such a different atmosphere than some other dealers we have been to. Was a great surprise to get to meet you while we were there. Thanks again for your great videos!
This is by far one of the best couple of campers . I do not like the USB on the theater seat, but I would just keep a portable battery bank in the center compartment and use that for charging my electronics. I have the radius shower in my current trailer and I can't believe I actually really like it, I'm 6 foot and weigh 260, and I have plenty of room and I don't end up with water all over the floor. Great job, Alliance, and great review, Josh.
pretty darn good!!! Thanks for showing us the good stuff!! This channel rules! oh yea, this would be perfect FOR ME with just a jackknife sofa and NO slide. This is a really great! The size is excellent and the dual axels are excellent! Very good!
put that TV in a lift station behind fire place. (Which i luv). also like the drop down leaf. Then put a cabinet up top where the TV is and gain some storage. Hate the farm sink. split sink works just fine. Like the drawer access out the end so we don't have to lift the mattress to gain access. I would like to see this layout with a wall separating bedroom(I wake up way b4 the wife) even if it extended it a couple of ft. put doorway in the middle with a sliding door. this would also allow decent road mode if entry was in the middle.
Wow! I think this one might be perfect! I appreciate your detailed showing. That flip up desk/countertop makes this really practical for longer stays. I’ve been searching for the right one with recliners. Also, the rack and pinion slide seals the deal. Now I need to find one near me so that I can test the room around the toilet.
That looks great! How would I change it, you ask? TV too high? Upgrade to a mantle mount! That counter/desk fold up extension? Genius! Haven't finished the video, hope it's all as cool as it is so far! Thank snerd!
That's the 1st small camper that really impresses us. The quality is amazing as well as the special features. If we were in the market for a small 2nd camper we would definitely consider it. Great job Alliance and Josh !
1). Very nice looking unit both inside and out. I like the western decor. 2) Definitely a first time camper purchase, but is it the second camper purchased the second time around remains to be seen. 3) I like the counter flip. 4) Underneath chair light is neat, could be used as a night light potentially for bathroom purposes. 5) It would be nice if the tv would also drop down along with the swivel. 6) Love how the night stands are CPAP compliant 👍👍 7) Instead of the thigh buster usb plugs, in addition to the outlets on the wall (have usb, c port & regular outlet), but also in the armrest create a flip charging area. 8) I like the deep bathroom sink. 9) According to the weights an measures it appears to be late model 1/2 ton towable. I definitely like that 😊 Alliance of you are reading this… 10) The awning could be a few inches wider. 11) I watched this video twice. Does it have a spare tire? I didn’t see one. 12) It needs a bumper to mount the spare tire on please. 13) I appreciate the heavy duty 300# ladder as well as the handles on top. Question however; wouldn’t it be best to have one of those ladders that are solid and go up and over the top instead of having a space between the back and roof? Wouldn’t this type be safer? I’m presuming it isn’t in order to help see the tail lights on top. Also, what is the roof weight capacity should I ever want to watch a NASCAR race from the top? 14) I think it would be neat to also have full length LED vertical taillights along the rear for viewing purposes. 15) Is this unit maxed out on the solar that could be installed? 16) I can almost see myself in this unit. Alliance if you give it me so that a first timer could do reviews on it, I could definitely see me owning it. 😂 37) Another job well done Josh 👍👏
Pretty good looking camper, love the duct AC and bed drawers. If they are going for low cost they should go all the way and not have a TV, foot heater and make it a single axle. Just saying; also they make 90degree USB plugs so they will not dig into your thigh. The shower and bathroom is great for a small camper. Having a real oven is a extra plus in a small camper too. Positives:2 propane tanks (looks like an electric jack), nice clean pass thru and hook ups.
I like this very much. However, nothing is perfect. I would put in a televator since there is nothing below that counter anyway. I realize that is a failure point but it would be so much better for viewing. Love the way they did the storage under the bed. Great job with the towel hooks on the door. Bath is a little tight I would add a couple of inches there and make the storage next to the door a bit smaller. Nice job with the ladder, others need to make the ladder like that, size and weight rating.
Thanks for posting Josh. While I'm delighted to see Alliance moving down-market, this one doesn't work for us because we need BOTH a seating area and a dinette (and will likely require a murphy bed) as opposed to a fixed bed and seating area, but my biggest disappointment is that it appears to be coming with cost-saving leaf springs and not a torsion suspension, which is an absolute deal-breaker for us.
@@JoshtheRVNerd, thanks for sharing! That's an absolutely GORGEOUS trailer and we do LOVE Alliance, but I probably should've also mentioned that we need to be around 5,000 UVW (which almost necessitates a murphy bed) in order to tow safely with the 80% rule.
Uncle Josh, a rhetorical question, if I may: why don't the RV mfg'ers use a tv mount that rotates BOTH vertically AND horizontally? I realize it would cost a bit more, but, really, the convenience (since the tv's are mounted so high on the wall) would be worth it, IMHO. Anyone out there agree? Y'all Be Safe!!!
Framed Bathroom door 🙌 Radius Shower 😭I see people saying use a Televator, It’s the only counter space, Televator would not work there unfortunately IMO. Can’t have pieces of food, crumbs, spills dripping into the Televator. Plus it takes away your only flat solid surface for food prep adds cost and just something that could break + you lose the bedroom TV viewing aspect of it. I would prefer just a full Solid counter that’s even with the rest of the kitchen station with a couple of drawers but that takes away walk space to the bedroom area. I think they did the best they could with that space
Desktension counter. This one'd be a fine weekender, but the bathroom disqualifies it from being anything more than that for us. Thanks for the tour, Uncle Josh!
Very nice, if you can live with the shower. Azdel walls and floors, PVC roof, heated tanks, solar enabled, more headroom., slideout is not too big or heavy, porcelain toilet, pex plumbing. Lots to like here, should serve well for a good long time.
Instead of putting in a worthless oven, because it is so small, why don't the leave the oven out and put in a Microwave/convection/air-fryer combination oven. I know $$$, make it an option I would order that option!
Finally a RV manufacturer that knows how to make a countertop extension flush with the countertops , go back to the gas electric water heater or at least make it an option for people that like to Boondock.also are the kitchen counter tops solid surface or thermal foil?
The counter/desk space is great, unique. People with cold feet will now love the desk work! Is there a TV mount that can pull out, tilt down and side to side? Because that would be perfect. Someday some manufacturer out there will figure out how to create a large wet bath and make those little squeezed dry baths go away. I can't be the only one thinking it just makes sense, right? Or are people so against the idea of a wet bath they'd rather tuck their elbows in the shower? 1st open concept for Alliance? They did a darn good job.
There are definitely mounts like that. I'm sure they cost a few bucks more so we just don't get many Regarding wet baths: The vast overwhelming majority of potential buyers will not even consider one
@@JoshtheRVNerd That's a shame. I would much rather have the space. It seems like it would be worth it to have the mount at least as an option. Especially since so many people watch the TV a lot. Those are probably the same people who won't to a wet bath either 🙄😉
I've been convinced that the minilite 2205 is the right camper for me, but this might be better! I love that the pantry is in the slide, the flip up counter is much better, and it has a real bathroom door!! I wish the hanging storage was full height instead of split in half - sundresses anyone?? And why why why do we not have a dinette option😢
Love this model. The on demand hot water heater needs to be a gone though, or at least swapable with a standard water heater. On demand is terrible for water use while boondocking.
@@trebor239 @trebor239 When you're boondocking you need to conserve water as much as possible, so you take "Navy" showers where you rinse off, then pause the water using the showerhead switch, lather up, unpause. With the on demand, it only heats the water when the water is flowing. So, you either need to run the water the whole shower, or let the water run for the hot water to get to the shower after pausing. Both ways waste water from the fresh tank and fills the gray. In a full hookup situation, they're probably great. Hope that helps
Hi Josh. Thanks for the great content. I simply do not understand the following. What good are heated and enclosed holding tanks with 12 volt heating pads when the drain valves are completely exposed? Makes no sense to me and this one is off the list of consideration as a result.
This is very nice! I just wish it had a front window. I am set on my next RV having one since my biggest 'ragrets' is how cave like it feels in my TT. I need LOTS of light. As for the slide, if they have a storage cabinet in the slide, they [should] have a weight rating sticker (like bunkbeds). That would let peeps know what it can hold when closed. Maybe suggest to manufacturers.
pup steps by the bed would be a plus....the other side.slide out pup dishes..or slide the pup dishes under the pantry...remember..pet friendly..lol..fed pups makes happy parents( plus we wont do the kick the dog food down to the fridge or a slip and slide with the water bowl on our way to the bathroom)...lol
I really like the layout.....door near the back and a walk around bed at the front. Is it available with an gas/electric style fridge? We like to stay 2-3 nights in places where hookups are not available. The 12 volt fridges are deal breakers.
Hi Josh. I Love this one! Would it be fairly easy to remove the sliding shelves from pantry? I love them but I could use it for longer hanging dresses if I could modify it. This one is Great!!!! ❤
This trailer looks like it would fit outlet needs very well but my question is I understand there is no floor heating but does the trailer have a heat duct in the bathroom and one up front by the bed as if it’s just the one main unit not sure how well that will work on cooler spring trips or into the fall If you could possibly let me know Also I wish by the front door they had made the shelf removable so you could hang jackets in that space
*These are excellent questions!* I'm trying to operate from memory here & I don't have one of these in front of me today where I can physically eyeball it From memory: I _THINK_ there's a heat vent off the end of the counter firing toward the bed. I'm thinking that - not *KNOWING* it And I cannot recall the bathroom status at all. I don't want to just make up answers that sound like what you want to hear Best suggestion I would have is contact someone at one of our alliance carrying stores who can dig into that directly for you
These models have similar layouts WITHOUT a radius shower: ► Surveyor 202RBLE ua-cam.com/video/Y0tj8Y_MKTg/v-deo.html ► Ember 20FB ua-cam.com/video/NNmPPFKSc9w/v-deo.html ► Heritage Glen 19RBHL ua-cam.com/video/IhCI19M9zPM/v-deo.html
You should not sit in most towable rv slides unless theyre fully extended. MFGs account for storage they include. They don't account for a person they didnt. This video may help: ua-cam.com/video/itGeKF6yu1g/v-deo.html or I think I touch on it here ua-cam.com/video/Wt4-KAoweMg/v-deo.html
You have the hitch listed at 400lb, is that right? Everything else i look at says 568lb. Big discrepancy and would definitely factor into ability for me to pull this with an X5 (7200lb towing capacity, but 551lb hitch MAX)
Specs listed on screen reflect what I got from the factory when this was first being developed Likely they made adjustments since then and their website would supersede anything I have listed
I like it except for the 32" radius shower. I would have liked it better if they reduced the pantry width and increased the size of the bathroom to put in at least a 32" x 36" rectangular shower. I would get the sofa bed not for the bed but so I could sit and watch TV with my dog, the wife well she can take a nap, I'm in trouble now. Defiantly a singles or very close couples TT and I would like to see at least the option to get rid of the oven and instead change the microwave to a convention microwave, more storage and better cooking.
Not saying I know how to do it, but they need a bigger shower, that's a long enough trailer to pull it off; and I'm one who usually is willing to give up bathroom space for floor space since you spend the vast majority of time outside the bathroom.
Heritage Glen, Surveyor, Ember all have similar layouts with a bigger shower. It can be done. Just a little shifting of stuff on the layout can accomplish the goal
I like Josh, but this trailer looks kind of rinky-dink. The cabinets look to be not solid wood. The suspension is leaf springs not independent, small tires, and there is a good bit of uninsulated area on the drain valves, and weak scissor jacks and no back bumper or accessible spare tire. It has a small oven, but the countertop looks flimsy if you're intending to use it for food prep. There was no mention of what the heating system is, only that it's not under the floor. The underside of the bed looks very cheap and light, and the under-bed drawers don't appear to be separated from the lift bed 'storage'. There's other stuff we noticed after looking at many trailers and are grateful for all these folks who give run-throughs of trailers! Check out the Flagstaff 22fbs, Rockwood 2205s. Or the Outdoors RV 22 fqs. Happy trailer hunting! :)
Different RVs built by different people for different people with different needs/wants/intentions. Even the Rockwood, Flagstaff, and ORV lack the independent suspension for which you expressed preference (Torsion suspension is not independent) It's not built to be used like an ORV The general construction is nearly identical to a Rockwood/Flagstaff They each have their own advantages and drawbacks! I appreciate you taking the time to share what you prefer :)
Nice video and trailer but I have to ask, why are trailers still being built with work areas as if people are working remotely ( desk station). Some probably still are but that number has dramatically diminished. I myself still like a dinette. Those trays at the couch are the perfect height for my food stealing doodle, lol😅
Does anyone have a tacoma that could confirm if they can pull something like this? I'm in the market to pop my RV cherry and I really really like these types of RVs. But as much as I read the numbers, I just wanna see exactly what the ideal RV is for my vehicle to grasp what I should be looking for.
This shouldn't be paired with a Tacoma. The GVWR of the RV exceeds the max capacity of the Tacoma before even looking further at other specs like payload rating
It's very adorable and a lot of thought went into this but I just don't understand why they keep making this "faux wood grain old lady cabinet color" instead of a warm solid paint color, like you would see on a residential kitchen cabinet, why do they keep doing this? Just curious!
Because decor is very subjective. Plenty of people like what you're seeing. Plenty of people don't. That's why I cover such a variety of RVs from different builders
I like how the countertop extension is level with the rest of the counter. Very few do it, but it makes a big difference.
I really like this model, floorplan, the frig, the pantry, just everything.
Awesome! TY for taking the time to share something positive :)
I really wanted a separate bedroom but I could live with the curtain because I frikking love all the campside windows. The rack and pinion slide was a very unexpected wonderful surprise.

😆
The counter/desk space is great, unique. People with cold feet will now love the desk work!
Is there a TV mount that can pull out, tilt down and side to side? Because that would be perfect.
Someday some manufacturer out there will figure out how to create a large wet bath and make those little squeezed dry baths go away. I can't be the only one thinking it just makes sense, right? Or are people so against the idea of a wet bath they'd rather tuck their elbows in the shower?
1st open concept for Alliance? They did a darn good job.
There are definitely mounts like that. I'm sure they cost a few bucks more so we just don't get many
Regarding wet baths: The vast overwhelming majority of potential buyers will not even consider one
I won’t lie.. I’ve never needed sundress storage in a camper but that’s just me 😆
@@JoshtheRVNerd 🤣😂🤣
Very nice! Love that it’s not a murphy bed. Since you’re at alliance, can you get a 31A10 on video?
I’ll see if I can find one
Wow is this nice! Is it weird there's no rear bumper?
At least there is a hitch.
Like this model.😊
Me too!
I like it just wish the chairs were a jack knife sofa
Another great video.
TY!
Back to the closets. How would you hang shirts, jeans or longer items? Looks like there's a shelf in the way.
Shelf removes as desired
Love this model. The on demand hot water heater needs to be a gone though, or at least swapable with a standard water heater. On demand is terrible for water use while boondocking.
New to RV life, so why is On-Demand bad for boondocking, vs hot water heater?
@@trebor239 @trebor239 When you're boondocking you need to conserve water as much as possible, so you take "Navy" showers where you rinse off, then pause the water using the showerhead switch, lather up, unpause. With the on demand, it only heats the water when the water is flowing. So, you either need to run the water the whole shower, or let the water run for the hot water to get to the shower after pausing. Both ways waste water from the fresh tank and fills the gray. In a full hookup situation, they're probably great. Hope that helps
Hi Josh. I love this one. 😊
Woo!
Hi Josh. Thanks for the great content. I simply do not understand the following. What good are heated and enclosed holding tanks with 12 volt heating pads when the drain valves are completely exposed? Makes no sense to me and this one is off the list of consideration as a result.
Great point
Sometimes the valves are enclosed but they have an extra termination valve at the dump point
Hi Josh id like to see a curtain for the bed area make it feel like a bedroom
Noted!
That’s one of the reasons I like to carry so many different brands - zero in on the features everyone likes
pup steps by the bed would be a plus....the other side.slide out pup dishes..or slide the pup dishes under the pantry...remember..pet friendly..lol..fed pups makes happy parents( plus we wont do the kick the dog food down to the fridge or a slip and slide with the water bowl on our way to the bathroom)...lol
That would be cool!
Good video Josh
Glad you enjoyed it
Interesting, I didn't think Alliance was going for a full coverage play on sizes and floor plans. I guess upscale at the smaller end? Very cool.
They always planned to expand and may get into single axles even at some point
I really like the layout.....door near the back and a walk around bed at the front. Is it available with an gas/electric style fridge? We like to stay 2-3 nights in places where hookups are not available. The 12 volt fridges are deal breakers.
Only the 12v fridge he offered as it turns out
Hi Josh. I Love this one! Would it be fairly easy to remove the sliding shelves from pantry? I love them but I could use it for longer hanging dresses if I could modify it. This one is Great!!!! ❤
Can’t imagine it would be super hard. It’s just a drawer basically
Oven optional or required? Would rather just have a 2 burner cooktop and extra countertop space and cabinet space instead of the oven
Standard as seen with no kitchen swaptions offered
Looks like a perfect retired couples trailer.
I could totally see that
Not a fan of the boomer brown interior but would love to see your Indy or southern MI stores carry Alliance one day!
it's not impossible! We may at some point look into that
Reminds me of a rockwood
They both hit some similar notes. This is definitely their version of the 2205s Rockwood
@@JoshtheRVNerdbut without Rockwood’s porcelain toilet😢
This trailer looks like it would fit outlet needs very well but my question is I understand there is no floor heating but does the trailer have a heat duct in the bathroom and one up front by the bed as if it’s just the one main unit not sure how well that will work on cooler spring trips or into the fall
If you could possibly let me know
Also I wish by the front door they had made the shelf removable so you could hang jackets in that space
*These are excellent questions!* I'm trying to operate from memory here & I don't have one of these in front of me today where I can physically eyeball it
From memory: I _THINK_ there's a heat vent off the end of the counter firing toward the bed. I'm thinking that - not *KNOWING* it
And I cannot recall the bathroom status at all. I don't want to just make up answers that sound like what you want to hear
Best suggestion I would have is contact someone at one of our alliance carrying stores who can dig into that directly for you
Small but mighty! Just wish the radius shower wasn't necessary.
These models have similar layouts WITHOUT a radius shower:
► Surveyor 202RBLE ua-cam.com/video/Y0tj8Y_MKTg/v-deo.html
► Ember 20FB ua-cam.com/video/NNmPPFKSc9w/v-deo.html
► Heritage Glen 19RBHL ua-cam.com/video/IhCI19M9zPM/v-deo.html
Televator, I like the drawers under the bed, I like on demand tankless water heaters and the storage areas.
Great review, Josh. Thank you! Question: What did you mean by 'The sofa slide is unusable during transit?'
@@JoshtheRVNerd Your videos are excellent resources for camping!
boy i try! TY
Did you ever saw europian travel trailers??? They are so beautiful .The Us and Canadian trailers can t compare with them.
Oh I see the privacy curtain now
😉
I clicked on the price link and there isn't a price. What is the approximate price?
Apologies I do not have pricing files. Sorry that wasn’t available
Try calling Brittany and she can get you figures +1 (309) 350-9431
Nice. But when you said lightest... I was expecting less. Lol. Hell of a lot of cargo capacity.
Yeah you’d have to be pretty intent fun to overload it
You have the hitch listed at 400lb, is that right? Everything else i look at says 568lb. Big discrepancy and would definitely factor into ability for me to pull this with an X5 (7200lb towing capacity, but 551lb hitch MAX)
Specs listed on screen reflect what I got from the factory when this was first being developed
Likely they made adjustments since then and their website would supersede anything I have listed
Any idea if this rig has double sided azdel, if they use mylar tape in the construction, radiant foil in the ceiling and plywood in the construction?
Everything but Mylar
This would be perfect if it had a bunkhouse or large closet area. We need a place for our bird cages.
Here’s one with both!
@@JoshtheRVNerd where? I don’t see a link.
I figured that would be the one hiccup for people
Countertop in the bathroom is too small. Our model is very similar. I like the bed storage and drawer by the bed.
Ty for the input
Not saying I know how to do it, but they need a bigger shower, that's a long enough trailer to pull it off; and I'm one who usually is willing to give up bathroom space for floor space since you spend the vast majority of time outside the bathroom.
Heritage Glen, Surveyor, Ember all have similar layouts with a bigger shower. It can be done. Just a little shifting of stuff on the layout can accomplish the goal
#RVNerdHerd 😊 🎉 😊
I'd rather have a dinette set instead of the theater seats
I think we could order one that way
Yes, need a place to play games/cards when the weather is bad.
Even the Rockwood, Flagstaff, and ORV lack the independent suspension for which you expressed preference (Torsion suspension is not independent)
It's not built to be used like an ORV
The general construction is nearly identical to a Rockwood/Flagstaff
They each have their own advantages and drawbacks!
Number of people living in rvs and seeking desk spaces is on the rise
Does anyone have a tacoma that could confirm if they can pull something like this? I'm in the market to pop my RV cherry and I really really like these types of RVs. But as much as I read the numbers, I just wanna see exactly what the ideal RV is for my vehicle to grasp what I should be looking for.
This shouldn't be paired with a Tacoma. The GVWR of the RV exceeds the max capacity of the Tacoma before even looking further at other specs like payload rating
@@JoshtheRVNerd Thanks Josh. The numbers makes me so confused so I appreciate the clarification.
Bland interior
Was that monster storage next to recliner
Pantry yeah
It's very adorable and a lot of thought went into this but I just don't understand why they keep making this "faux wood grain old lady cabinet color" instead of a warm solid paint color, like you would see on a residential kitchen cabinet, why do they keep doing this? Just curious!
Because decor is very subjective. Plenty of people like what you're seeing. Plenty of people don't. That's why I cover such a variety of RVs from different builders
