@@Azraeltheangelofdeath If that is the case, the why don't the Swedish government cut all ties that do business with Russia? EU got economic sanctions against Russia. So why not just let IKEA be thrown under the bus by the Swedish government as well, is symbol-politics is so damn important.
@@nattygsbord Sweden doesn't like Russia and for good reasons. It's a dictatorship and we've had wars with them in the past. The Swedish army's decision not to cooperate with Sabaton was because of their playing in Crimea. Sabaton did this however before it got very infected and probably didn't think too much about the political consequences behind it. They're a band after all not a political entity. The Swedish army however is very political and has serious responsibilities that go past the enjoyment of music.
Sabaton however has no liking to Putin or his fascist government and the army knows this. Hence why if you look at Försvarsmakten's Facebook you'll see them sharing the Livgardet song and thanking Sabaton for it. People in the Swedish army love Sabaton and the army likes Sabaton in general. This was not personal it was just politics.
It wasn't the army that didn't want to, it was the government that thought it would be seen as political
YESSS FINALLY INDY IS BACK
i really love history and then i love your perfect channel ✌💥
We're happy to read that!
I was in the Swedish mounted Royal Dragoon guards. And war in the mounted band playing the trumpet.
I want that uniform they are wearing :c
I doubt you are the only one-those uniforms look awesome.
If you find a place that sells them please let me know ;D
We can understand. Unfortunately, it's not available 😉
love the song. just curious as to which will happen first, English version, or me getting far enough in my learning Swedish to understand the song.
Both can coexist
I love this video! Thank you so much for all you do sabaton, indy and crew!!!
A real shame the army backed out of the collaboration.
It wasn't the army though, they would've loved to have them, it's just political bullshit from our leftist government.
@@Fantasy_____________________ I was gonna say, Sweden is very left-leaning atm. Seems to hate its own past
This is on Sabaton in my opinion.
@@Fantasy_____________________ hahaha I had a feeling it might be but I didn't want to get political. What great honour for a band like Sabaton to sing about your deeds and accomplishments.
Typical Sabaton are right wing extremists storyline?
@@Fantasy_____________________ Did they say a reason why they didn't want Sabaton to do their song and back out? I kind of want to know their stupid reason.
"Livgardet"is an absolutely epic and Wonderful song that made me wanna know more about Sweden which I love so bad !!!!
❤️🇸🇪❤️🇸🇪❤️🇸🇪(You see ,when it comes to its history I only was aware about its involvement in 30-years war under Gustav Adolf, the existence of Christina and some basics about their great Northern ,where it seemed to me as the" bad guy "that wanted to mess with Great Peter ...)And now with this magnificent video that actually happened ! The only thing that I can tell to Sabaton it's a big "THANK YOU!"🥰🥰🥰You guys are awesome!🤩🤩🤩
From a Greek history freak ...🇬🇷🤪🇬🇷🤪🇬🇷🤪[That also happens to be a drawer...I've already made a painting about the "Red Baron",one about the crusades inspired by "The Last Stand" (which I know that is actually about the Sack of Rome ,but I love so much to associate it with crusades!I just can't help it ...😅😅😅),and now I'm working in one about "The Attack of the Dead Men" .I also want to make one about "Winged Hussars"and "Livgardet")
Ärat Livgardet Står!
Årat? Yes canooing the Lifeguard stands!
Where did you get those sick jackets from?
Those light blue uniforms are slick! They sure know how to dress 'em.
Where does the horse goes when a dragoon dismounts? I mean you cant just have an army of horses next to the battlefield
That is true, thats why you charge against the enemy on horseback. How you get the meat after battle too, just cut up nearest shot horse
It’s back!!!!! Yes! Let’s gooo!
Welcome back indeed
hey make a video about "Mad Jack" Churchill - John Malcolm Thorpe Fleming Churchill a real war hero
I want to know if it is deliberate that the chorus is the swedish/dannish/german hymn "härlig är jorden"
Why did I ever think that the Carolus Rex Album was boring?
Maybe time to take back what once was ours , the Chinese can have the Asian part of Russia🎉
I had wondered if this was indicative of the next album. Got my answer.
Great song!
Hold on a minute-
Hold on a minute-
what was the answer because they said they gonna record a album this year
@@ghostsdragon9222 They said in the video that it wasn't part of the new album.
so... If the King of Sweden decides to go to war, does the Livgardet has to march with him?
This is one of those songs that you can tell it was just designed with national pride in mind.
Like when you listen to the American National anthem, or perhaps even when johnny comes marching home.
Just classically american things. Even if you aren't American, I'm sure you could get a sense of national pride from it.
I respect national pride.
I'm not swedish, but i do respect this song, and what it represents. Because as an american, i too have songs like it.
And i understand the pride that can come with it.
Great song.
Thank you for appreciating our music!
@@SabatonHistory Hey, i always appreciate a sabaton song, you guys make epic music.
Just this one in particular hit different because of it's thematic. :)
Do the Scottish war's of independence
Please get them to find this give Scotland some love
No mention of the origins of this hymn.
First written by a German August Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben in the 19th century.
Now I want to see a show about the Livgarde in the style of the BBC "Musketeers" show, where they're played by Sabaton going around thwarting assassinations and spies.
Dam fine looking Troops ! It’s a shame our soldiers in America do not look so dashing
I had to order a Livgardet hoodie!
You had to 😎
They're back boys!
An extremely popular, very proud to be Swedish, metal band is turned away because they played for fans that were not approved. It is sad. A great song about a great subject. The two sides of my family came from Lithuania and from Sweden only 2 generations ago, I always wanted to be Scottish, because that seemed cooler, but I've learned to be proud of my Grandparents homeland, Sweden.
The Redditors in the comment springing up to comment stale and vague "jokes" faster than the blitzkrieg.
Will you blame us? Sabaton made me patriotic for a country i don't even live in
What do you mean redditord?
@@antoniocenteno1483 Lmao reddit moment.
If I was the leader of a country, this would be the national anthem
