Tanks for that Video. I did that tonight, spent 3 hours because the Nut on the right hand was super strong. P.S. before remove the old pump, assemble the rope first so you don't need to maneuver blindly through the tank backward. .. again, thanks!
I was removing the fuel pump, after I put it back in place, I had a leak when fully refueling. I had to tighten both the level sensor and the pump too much. I think it's worth opening everything up again and putting everything back in its place
just a word of advice before you remove the pump after disconnecting the filter tie a flexible wire on the line so that when you pull the pump out the line will be in place to pull the new pump in.
I just changed mine and i hear a like a sucking noise from the filterside fuel line. Is it possible that the lines are mangled inside and that is why there is too much air in the system. Very clear video and thank you in advance!
There is a special tool (crown wrench) to remove the nut and avoid using a hammer and chisel, that wrench is also required to torque the nut (18 ft-pounds), the acces panel gasket was damaged due to the mishandling, the fuel pump & filter gaskets were reused (?). Fuel is harmful for the skin, use of safety gloves is required. no fire extinguisher in the work area, the battery negative terminal was not removed, working with fuel and vapors is very dangeours, sparks must be avoided at all times. Professionals don't work this way. Note of Caution: Before installing the cushion seat, the tank must filled to full to check for leaks.
Hi,after driving for a few hours sometime it will have a delayed response when starting, will lose power if rapid acceleration is applied and most commonly is the vehicle will not start.
Back again. So, i was chiseling the ring, and I didn't notice that it was turning all together with the pump assembly, that broke eventually. Now , not matter how long i turn the ring, won't come off.
One safety reminder: wrap the chisel end with cloth to prevent any possible spark which may ignite fire under leaking fuel! Also, it seems there is no need to remove the wires connecting the pump and filter assembly and re-insert. Instead, you can remove the old pump, connect with a new one, then remove the filter assembly and connect the other end.
This mechanic put a new fuel pump in and when I drive gas is pouring out from underneath my car. What did he do wrong? He’s out of town and I have to go to work

There are two rubber seals under both of them ensure that you change them, as that can be a contributing factor for the leak .

They also have a lot of play. Both sides move up and down by a centimetre.
Hi , it might stop after all the air pockets in the filter is replaced by fuel .

hello ,the fuel charge line can need a new seal or the fuel pump housing can need to be tightened.
Good
Thanks
Having the pump on one side and the filter on the other side.. not very smart..
Hello , The manufacturer have their own opinion on that lol 😆
@@geniusinnovations5268 they realised it was stupid. That's why, on the latest models it's all in one place 😂
