Hello Tony, if I were in your place I would spray them with a primer first and then I would spray the color. I will do mine too in the future but I plan to do it only for the rear calipers, as in the front I've upgraded them with 4 pot ones.

Rear ones to do , so perhaps I’ll give that a go. I have standard primer, but would need hi temp primer 🙄. More money. I need people to start giving super thanks to pay for some of this 😉😂👍

@@vialettotony I don't think a primer costs that much, I don't know the prices in UK, but when need to locally paint my front bumper I paid less than 70€ to buy the original color of my G, primer, putty, and varnish. So I think a regular primer would do the trick.
I mostly want them painted because my front ones are red and the back ones aren't covered in grease and dirt and it's a bit ugly.
Nice one Tony. You'll find that the paint won't peel because of the thorough cleaning you gave the parts and that once fitted, the caliper paint will actually bake on from the heat. Cheers

How important is to pay attention to all the nut torque settings? I want to do this mod but I don't have the fancy torque wrench.
I mean if you just tighten all the nuts but not overly too tight was the golden rule for me.
I’d say it’s very important. The money you will save doing this job will pay for the torque wrench. I’d recommend getting one, but make sure the fitment size is the same size as your socket set 1/2” 1/4” etc. All the best 👍

@@vialettotony Glad to hear it. Just done mine today. Took practically 2 days for 2 front wheels. My breakes were squeaking when breaking. Turns out there is still a squeaking noise when breaking even though I have greased all the parts in the breakes and did a good job with cleaning and painting :D
Is one can enough for all four calipers?
I’d say not, but depends on how good a finish you’re going for. I’d say for the finish I achieved, 2 and a bit cans would be needed for all 4. Hope that helps. All the best 👍
