For the clips i recommend getting one of those universal kits that have various sizes, they are easily found online and come in packs of hundreds with various sizes. Most manufacturers use the same types of clips so a universal set has you covered without problems. You can find sets for bodywork, interior trim and also upholstery.

It's always a good idea to spray the inside of the frame with some preservative wax to prevent the corrosion spread if some water and salt gets inside. Pretty good video tho!

The metal sticking out of the back of your caliper can be used to measure height/depth, although your way works fine too

AlfaRomeo159 - Thanks for the video. I am hoping that the clips are similar on my 159? It seems a common problem with all Alfa skirts that they do tend to come away from the main bodywork.
I love my alfa but i do find this a problem especially the front bottom grill if it ever has to come off it is anightmare to get back on to get all the plastic clips in place it feels like it going to break .
Very good video please can you try to do a air conditioning filling location and gas as the heat starting

Hi Emanuel. Perhaps I will sometime. In the mean time, if you want to do it, the badges are stuck on. If you want to remove it, I’d recommend going in from the middle and working you’re way to the outside so you don’t scratch the edges. Hope that helps. All the best 👍

I've just bought my G , and all the 7 black clips were lost, and the whole side skirt slided backward a little bt and now i can't push clips into the holes under the car.
My question is: are the white clips position is fixed, or adjustable? Should i use small hits on the front of the side skirt or better to remove it from the car, re-align the white clips and push the side skirt back? What is your opinion, suggestion? Thank you
Hi. There is a little bit of tolerance on the white clips, but the easiest thing would be to remove it completely, give it a good clean and fit new clips. Hope that helps. All the best 👍

Thank you for this informative video. I have the same car. A friend repaired it, but he was unable to put it back in the right way. Now there is a gap of about 1 mm on the side. Can you tell us where we can buy the white skirts , I think 12 pieces, do you know any store that sells these pieces, with many thanks to you

Hi Jamie. It can be done, it’s a case of getting the measurements right. Not sure if Alfa have a template available?
Check your underneath too to make sure the holes for the clips are there.

I've been looking for some side skirts for my Fiat Linea as these don't have any version with them from the factory and the Lineacessori ones are only really available in Brazil and India, so I'm considering using the Giulietta or Bravo ones, as they both have similar wheelbases and sill profiles. Could you possibly measure the length of the side skirts so I can check if they are indeed a good fit for my application? Thank you so much, best regards from Portugal. 🇵🇹👍🏻

@@vialettotony , thank you so much for taking the time to help me. i think they will be perfect, the Linea has 186 cm of sill, and the difference is in line with the wheelbase of both cars. Shouldn't be hard to shorten them those 3 cm. time to go on Ebay and get some!

The bad thing is that you have to drill at least 7 holes on each side of the car. It means that there is a risk of corrosion.
What about using some 3M doublesided tape instead of drilling holes?

I ordered set of side skirts. But instead of drilling holes I'd just rather use some adhesive and glue the skirt on places where the clips go.
Is it possible to add sideskirts to a giulietta without them originally?

Hi sorry, I don't have it now. You should be able to drop in to your local motor factors or other local parts store and find them on the shelf. I use Bennetts, and they have them right on the counter. All the best 👍

Sorry to be really negative, but it would have been more helpful for you to measure the holes as they are drilled on the car's sill, rather than the clips on the skirt
As a Giulietta owner looking to add the skirts, I can easily measure the skirt myself.
What I can't do is measure the distance between the front wheel arch and the first hole, then the distance between each hole and the drop of each hole from the bottom of the door - that would have been really useful measurements
Measuring only one hole from the bottom of the door doesn't give me much in order to plumb out the right line for them

Design which is receipe for sill rust. Mud, traped in a closed place, that hardly dries out in contact with steel is a receipe for rust.
