I've had the same kit for about 7 years since I upgraded to SJC Customs, they still rock like they did years ago!

from his quick leak in the end i believe i saw a Pearl Music City Custom Reference Pure in Pewter Abalone. I think whats holding them are gyrolock 1030 series tom holders which gave it away that it should be a Pearl. thats all i got from his leak and i hope im right! 😂

At time 1:13 (as the camera makes the background less blurry), the snare looks to be a Pearl Sensitone Premium Beaded Brass. The lugs give it away that it is some sort of Pearl snare.

Ive had my Ayotte kit since 1995. Got it used from a Vancouver music store that had a bunch of Ayotte for backline. Everywhere I've played it, live or studio, people talk to me about it. It's the regular steel hoops but it still sings.

I have a real hard time imagining selling my kit even though I've been considering getting an upgrade. I've had this one over 10 years as well! The one before that (the one I started out with) I had for about 8 or 9 years too. It's tough to let go of something that's been with you so long--so many memories (even though I've never performed at the level you have). Congrats on the sponsorship!

What an interesting video, will miss seeing the Ayotte's up there. I actually had a hand in building your kit as I used to work there. You are correct on it being a 1999 kit, I purchased my kit that year and its serial numbers are just a couple hundred off of yours. The shells are 6ply maple with 6ply maple reinforcement rings, if you have any questions on the build, feel free to contact me

Dude! From an old drummer that has owned almost every brand of kit out there, I'm super happy that you're not selling that kit!! If you manage to keep it until you're old and grey, you will be SO glad you did!! There is history in that kit! You cannot replace that! I've owned so many kits during my life! Some were crap and I'm glad they are gone! But many were great(and now classic/vintage kits) that I wish that I had kept! Slingerland Radio Kings(if only I had known!) 60's Ludwig Club Date kit ( in Blue Oyster Pearl!), Slingerland late 60's kit in Pink Champagne Sparkle, 1973 Fibes Clear Acrylic, '73 Gretsch USA Jazz kit, Rogers Fullerton Double Kick, 4 rack toms, 2 floors kit. Tama Birch Starclassic, Premier Birch and Yamaha 80's Tour Series! I wish that I had had the room and financial stability to keep each and every one! They all represented a part of my life and career. Congrats on your new endorsement!! Your hard work and dedication have earned any and all perks that you receive!! Remember your past and the work that you put in to achieve your present and future! Great job... You have definitely earned everything that is coming your way!
I remember when you were in Denver, maybe 2017 playing at an I Prevail show headline with We Came as Romans, Escape the Fate and Word Alive. We met that afternoon as I was asking you about your double bass development, in the hall that afternoon. As well, I was at Red Rocks when you brought Animals as Leaders as your warmup band last summer. So!! I have seen your kit during some important milestones in your career! Cheers! Congrats Gabe! Glad you're keeping the Ayotte. Ive had my 67 ludwig kit for 20 years and I'm super attached to it. Almost every show and every recording I've done has been with that kit. I got my dream kit, a tama starclassic bb 2 years ago. Still jam the Ludwig once in awhile.

They didn’t want me to set up my kit, so the drummer let me sit in on his Ayotte kit for my band’s set. It was the greatest kit I’d ever heard. Congratulations on spending 11 years of ever-growing success with your Ayotte kit, and I hope you have another long term relationship with your NEW drums!

Was thinking Mapex due to the lug configuration but can't place the tom connection (they were my first kit back in the early 90's). It will be next to impossible to improve upon Ayotte.Those guys along with GMS and DW were the tops back in the day (all maple shells for sure!). Still are in my opinion and I think Ayotte led the pack. But congrats for sure on the sponsor. I was definitely intrigued that you had not already solidified a solid kit sponsor, yet I was stoked you were giving props to Ayotte. Best wishes and much gratitude for the inspiration. I quite my professional playing back in 05' and am now seeing stars again as I fall in love with sheddin' again in my late 40's :)

Only caught your videos in the last couple of years. Very impressive though and it’s nice to watch your chops and grooves. Some things you demo, I have to play again and again and even then, it’s above my capabilities. Your kit always sounds ultra rich, so it will be interesting to see what you have got. The grey/silver colour looks even cooler that your bronzes - gotta update at some point though so well done for endorsements - remember all us mortals!! 👍🏼🇬🇧
