Gil shown up, and slowed down immediately to avoid making a mistake. Then, he counted the money down like a pro. This kid has a bright future in drumming!!
thanks for the feedback. that was me by the way. one guy at the bottom called me a "half ass mask" the reason I slowed it down was because he slowed it down in the uncut footage, so naturally I repeated it at the exact same tempo.
@@GilScottish hey it's better to slow it down and play it right than to play it too fast and screw it up, even if Zack had not played it slower in the cut footage. You killed it dude

im tryna play these grooves at home, that last one kicked my ass so hard. also shout out for letting the kid play, that probably solidified him turning into a drummer, so shout out.
And gave him some positive reinforcement, that teacher needs to open up a little bit, not everybody has to play hand-over-hand, and the whole him saying he was trying to get him to use his right foot thing felt kind of weird to me
Never seen you or your videos before but you are a great influencer of these kids. Never once did you make any one of them feel bad about their groove. World needs more people like you

I think that's just the experienced pro in him. One of the first things we're taught as drummers is to practice our rudiments slowly because speed will eventually follow later. He was putting it into practice I guess
Man respect for everyone and enjoyed a quick session of vulnerability… people are gonna judge you, you prolly feel nervous… but nope they said fuck it an went for. Great job everyone!
My heart jumps every time I see you post a new video, but I'm still hungry for some more grooves over those lofi soundtracks. When is your girl gonna leave you so that you try to get her back again?
Great idea:) Great idea! Would be fun to do a game-show twist on this where you can challenge them to take the money (start with $20) or do double-or-nothing for the next, more complex groove. And keep going up to $100 or so..
Great content. Really appreciate all the editing and including clips from scenes beyond the challenge itself. Fun to watch and excellent grooves. Very human and social and stuff. Makes me feel better about drums and musicianship.
Absolutely wonderful video. I play drums as a hobby (vocals & rhythm guitar is my main thing), but this video shows how just a kick, snare and hi-hat can make wonderful music.
I'm loving every minute of this, what a cool shop. Haven't played for a decade after playing around the same time (10 years) and just ordered my first electric kit. Just a few more days of air drumming and rudiments on a dab mat! Watching drum videos to get beats in my head!
🫡🫡 the way you handled the young one, 👍🏾💯 I’ve been teaching marching percussion for years there were so many little details I noticed that proves you are an EXCELLENT instructor… and you have a ton of patience huh 😅👌🏾
i hopped on a drum kit for the first time at school a few yeas back and a few of these grooves i could do without any lesson, this stuff just sorta came naturally to me. hearing these grooves again makes me wanna get back into it
As someone who has been playing drums since 1985, every time I throw the Axis Bold As Love album or The Song Remains The Same concert album on the SL-1200, I can honestly say you guitar players are the superior musicians!!!
Knowing that I could play 80% of these without issue makes me feel a lot better as an intermediate drummer. However, I would *not* be able to hold these down with a totally consistent tempo with a band, while executing fills *and* comping over other soloing musicians and then syncing back up to the main groove when the song returns to its general structure; that's what separates truly exceptional & talented drummers from the rest of us.
I remember when I first started drums when I was little, I couldn't use my right foot, eventually when I was good enough with my hands I was able to add the base drum in.
That guy torn from the counter played the beat like a MACHINE! Mad props
Isn't that the guy that does their cymbal videos?
His name his Robinson Bridgeforth, the dude is absolutely killin!
I mean.... he played for CHRISTINA AGUILERA LOL

Best groove and sound he got of the whole video
Very very nice
@@GilScottish Nice! I was thinking the same, that you made a logic and very intelligent move to slow it down and play it perfectly.
Incredibly generosity to pay these guys a whole year of touring to play just 1 groove, mad respect 🙏🏻
Unrealistic. No drummer has $100.
Not true. I once knew a drummer who played on a song that had 10,000,000,000 streams. He almost had a $100 😂😢
😄
They did have 100$... but then they got a new piece 😅
