Drums r the sexiest instrument plz dont be mad lulz
Unrealistic. No drummer has $100.
Not true. I once knew a drummer who played on a song that had 10,000,000,000 streams. He almost had a $100 😂😢
😄
They did have 100$... but then they got a new piece 😅
Lolol I litterally had to quit playing drums to find a real job cause I couldn’t stay at my parents anymore…. Used to tour with a punk band. Drummers really do stay broke
@@loganpierce6041 It’s hard man, but at least you’re free of pursuing a thankless task and you can concentrate on having a great life now. Hope you’re doing good pal
Petition for Zack to take this on the road and do it at drum shops around the country
That’d be so good!
Here here, I third this movement
Hey sir, you have a brilliant idea
Around the WORLD
Around the world
That guy torn from the counter played the beat like a MACHINE! Mad props
Isn't that the guy that does their cymbal videos?
His name his Robinson Bridgeforth, the dude is absolutely killin!
I mean.... he played for CHRISTINA AGUILERA LOL
Mad chops
@@alamdaaliartes different guy
Gil shown up, and slowed down immediately to avoid making a mistake. Then, he counted the money down like a pro. This kid has a bright future in drumming!!
thanks for the feedback. that was me by the way. one guy at the bottom called me a "half ass mask" the reason I slowed it down was because he slowed it down in the uncut footage, so naturally I repeated it at the exact same tempo.
@@user-hw1xc7zu1d hey it's better to slow it down and play it right than to play it too fast and screw it up, even if Zack had not played it slower in the cut footage. You killed it dude
Anyone that plays at a Drum chop must know how some type of chops
Best groove and sound he got of the whole video
Very very nice
@@user-hw1xc7zu1d Nice! I was thinking the same, that you made a logic and very intelligent move to slow it down and play it perfectly.
Incredibly generosity to pay these guys a whole year of touring to play just 1 groove, mad respect 🙏🏻
Seeing you teach the younger kid a new exercise warmed my heart! You are definitely a great teacher as well
he was shit
Seriously my heart swelled and eyes welled. Such a precious and genuine moment for him.
im tryna play these grooves at home, that last one kicked my ass so hard.
also shout out for letting the kid play, that probably solidified him turning into a drummer, so shout out.
And gave him some positive reinforcement, that teacher needs to open up a little bit, not everybody has to play hand-over-hand, and the whole him saying he was trying to get him to use his right foot thing felt kind of weird to me
10:58 holy crap, I've been drumming for 15 years and that is the first time I'd ever seen a double stroke replicated with a hi-hat close. That is fucking brilliant
JD Beck takes it to the extreme
The way Chris starts so slow, and gradually picks it up is awesome. He's a pretty great drummer as well.
All great though!
I think that's just the experienced pro in him. One of the first things we're taught as drummers is to practice our rudiments slowly because speed will eventually follow later. He was putting it into practice I guess
@@pabben03also it’s much harder to detect error when playing faster. Starting fast Prly ain’t the best way to build muscle memory either.
Chris pat is so fucking good. Can’t fool that man.
so true lol
I mean he got the last groove wrong, but he's still killin in my book
Finally, after many years, we are seeing the beginnings of Mr. Grooves. The drummer world is going to be a better and happier place !
Never seen you or your videos before but you are a great influencer of these kids. Never once did you make any one of them feel bad about their groove. World needs more people like you
Wow 9:20 he got the exact articulation, tempo, everything
Incredible!
That’s Robinson Bridgeforth!
I could watch that professional drummer replicate any groove you come up with. That man is TALENTED!
you should do a double or nothing challenge like this! so like you play an easy groove and if they can replicate it they get 20$ (or however much you want to do), and then they can either choose to try a harder groove and double their money, or walk away and keep their money. Then if they cant play the harder groove they lose the money! you could even do another harder groove where they can double their money yet again! that way you can reward people based on their skill level (pretty much), and hold on to your prize pool for longer, in turn enabling you to gift more people and have more interactions! :) thanks for ur vibeos zack ily 😘
I think most of these grooves are variations on the Purdie shuffle... love it!
That one @6:33 reminded me of 'Around the Fur' by Deftones.
@@MattMeNotYou I hear a bit of Umbrella by Rihanna
@Matt Me that is EXACTLY what I thought too
Yep I was noticing that too. One of the best grooves and drummers of all time
It’s half time it’s shuffle I call it the purdie shuffle
Love the encouragement at 9:00, that kid will remember you and those words anytime he feels like giving up.
Hey zack, thank you so much for putting me in the video! It was my birthday that day. Sadly I did not win any money but thank you so much for being an insperation! I was at 7:04
You killed it bro, keep it up!
@@spanzotab no he didn't 😂
@@jangobango2847 I hope you step on a Lego every day for the rest of your life
@@jangobango2847 bruh you know we all start somewhere right? just because he wasn't doing the most complex shit doesn't mean he didn't do a good job with what he did. get outta here with your negativity
@@JackAllpikeMusicfacts.
2:35 backround music and what he said aligned perfectly and sounds like a freestyle :O
That's insane observation skills
Props for having a heart for the lesser skilled players. No doubt you made an impact on those folks. Keep up the good work sir!
Great content. Really appreciate all the editing and including clips from scenes beyond the challenge itself. Fun to watch and excellent grooves. Very human and social and stuff. Makes me feel better about drums and musicianship.
bro knew what he was doing with bringing out the Purdie shuffle
My heart melting at 9:00 😭❤that one interaction for some kids is what makes or breaks whether they stick with drumming for the longrun or not. You're an inspiration man
Absolutely wonderful video. I play drums as a hobby (vocals & rhythm guitar is my main thing), but this video shows how just a kick, snare and hi-hat can make wonderful music.
Zack is like a cool brother. Awesome to see how the kids look up to you man.
Y'all can try to sleep on these grooves, I'm adding them to my groove vocab, throwin' in some chops, let the whole thang emulsify?! Watch out now 😂
I'm loving every minute of this, what a cool shop. Haven't played for a decade after playing around the same time (10 years) and just ordered my first electric kit. Just a few more days of air drumming and rudiments on a dab mat! Watching drum videos to get beats in my head!
Damn Zack I loved how you inspired that kid to keep playing even with the emphasis on the kick...you a real one.
The way you were with that little kid just learning made me respect you even more man. Fun video!
Can't wait for the album! Those two released tracks are freaking awesome.
Btw, great and so funny video as always! Love it.
Very cool. I've been listening to Everything Yes this evening and love it.
Man respect for everyone and enjoyed a quick session of vulnerability… people are gonna judge you, you prolly feel nervous… but nope they said fuck it an went for. Great job everyone!
Just discovered this channel and absolutely love this video. Had no idea of such an awesome place fairly close to me.
As a dormant hobby bassist, this was a joy to watch! Great grooves are like ❤❤
🫡🫡 the way you handled the young one, 👍🏾💯 I’ve been teaching marching percussion for years there were so many little details I noticed that proves you are an EXCELLENT instructor… and you have a ton of patience huh 😅👌🏾
Best vibe I've seen on a UA-cam video in a long time, I would totally go to the show if I lived in Memphis
I'm SO HAPPY to see the Memphis Drum Shop getting some love. I'm pissed I didn't know you were there!!
I dont even care about the money, this is a great series to make
That shuffle groove (2nd one) is one of my favorites to play. Such a fun groove
The guy behind the desk played that PERFECTLY
Love the sponsor clip! I want the full video of the chill jazz song!
Great idea:) Great idea! Would be fun to do a game-show twist on this where you can challenge them to take the money (start with $20) or do double-or-nothing for the next, more complex groove. And keep going up to $100 or so..
Your good with your fans bro, and so relatable….here’s a cheers to being your awesome self with all walks of life
Your editing has gotten so next level. Of course the drumming is always solid and powerful articulate and interesting.
Tight beats. Solid grooves.😁🥁
Amazing how good most of these drummers can make a simple 3 piece set sound.
You know your parents are cool as hell when they name their son Gil Scott.
such a cool video, such a cool personality, such a cool experience. Like GD this was so wholesome on like 20 different levels.
Music brings us together! Great video
that toto shuffle was CLEAN
Never seen you before this video got recommended, but those are some really mind expanding grooves.
This video was pretty cool bud, followed and subscribed man, God bless!:)
My heart jumps every time I see you post a new video, but I'm still hungry for some more grooves over those lofi soundtracks. When is your girl gonna leave you so that you try to get her back again?
Hahahahah I’ll get on that 🤣
Zack: "You can call me Mr. Yeast."
Me: You might want to get that checked out by a doctor. 🤣🤣🤣
"Oh, hello... you caught me playing the Jazzz. 😏"
I say this at least once a day 🤣
Youre so nice, drummers in general are usually really good to each other.
Though I’m one of the failed kids in this video_ Drum days at the store were awesome. Neil Peart was awesome. You’re their awesome drummer for life.
i hopped on a drum kit for the first time at school a few yeas back and a few of these grooves i could do without any lesson, this stuff just sorta came naturally to me. hearing these grooves again makes me wanna get back into it
That snare sounds amazing 👏
If anything, i think this video shows that a kick/snare/cymbal setup really squeezes out a drummer's tightness and creativity
Some great grooves but even more important was the good vibes you were giving out. So much talent in that room from all the drummers.
Cool grooves. I'd like to play them myself. 1:38 2:47 3:47 4:18 6:35 9:13 9:47 10:09
Definitely gotta visit the Memphis drum shop too
LETS GO!! Incredible content ALWAYS!! 💯🥁💥
God bless you, Zack.
I remember when I first started drums when I was little, I couldn't use my right foot, eventually when I was good enough with my hands I was able to add the base drum in.
love ur druming continue
dude made music a sport - how much fun is this!!
First video i've seen. Really fun.
2:46 Rossana Shuffle,
9:48 and 10:58 Epic 🥁-Grooves 🔥
do you know the time signature of the groove at 9:48
got so many groove ideas to practice now thank you lol
Good news! Noah has been practicing with his right foot every since this day!
Love the content!
that was awesome man keep it up!
This was so nice to watch and I don't even play drums! haha Really refreshing video!
Oh man I get so happy watching your videos, I smiled while watching the entire thing. Tnks for making so many great videos Zack. Im so happy right now that I noticed Im not subscribed even tho I watch all your videos so Im gonna sub right now
straight in with the rosanna shuffle, you're a menace
Fun to watch. You Got a new follower.
banger vid as always!
Loved that J.D. Beck groove at the end.
Sick drumming, sick edits bro!
4:30 he just wanted to go fast. i love it. its hard to turn off.
You my good sir are inspiring!!
whats up zack. its me, the first guy.
This is so cool!
A very enjoyable watch. You should do more...loved the Rosanna shuffle! 😂
Mr. Purdie would be proud.
LOL he stumped him with a paradiddle groove. gotta stay up on your paradiddlessss hahaha this is so fun
would love to see you guys with El Estepario
I thought this was going to be obnoxious but wow what nice people. Big heart.
The dude that worked there probably did the best job mirroring the groove.
So awesome videos bro!
The Spirit of Bonham always infects a drummer. Well done.
is that the Memphis drum shop love that place.
at 9:30 that employee perfectly recreated the beat. so good.
You cool af for this zack, you just earned a like and subscription.
Cool video bruh 🔥
Cool idea. That was very enjoyable to watch.
that 3 killed me hahaha
Im gonna try to make it down to your show from Nashville, I can’t wait!
i love how appearances have nothing to do with skills and the random looking guy always surprises
I LOVE this!!!
