In this video you’ll learn when to use regular basil (also called sweet basil) and when to use holy basil (also called tulsi)

At the video mark 1:38, you said "Holy Basil is glossier", do you mean the "Sweet Basil" instead ? At video mark 2:01 you said more than the holy basil. Please advise.

Thanks Debbi -- toward the beginning I misspoke calling one of the basils by the other name. To clarify for you - the sweet basil is the glossier one that is most used for cooking and digestion. Holy basil is has more ridges and is more of an adaptogen.

Thank you so much. I have found in a patch of weeds, something that identifies as holy basil in three of my plant identification apps. It has no odor or taste. Im confused about that. Do you have any insight? I really appreciate your channel.

Do you happen to have any videos on "aromatto basil"? Mines green but it's supposed to be purple, my mom is trying to get me to throw it away claiming it's wild grass.

I bought some "spicy" basil. Stinks like curry. Cant keep it in my kitchen overnight lol
Oh my word! Basils come in so many varieties -- but basil that smells like curry -- that's unusual. Does it taste more like basil or more like a curry mix?

I love curry, and I buy them regularly, but I've never had any that stinks!
Believe I have holy basil in the garden currently Interesting to read on why it's called Holy Basil. But God created all plants, so I try not to think of it that way.
