"Roddy" is also on police body camera footage on the day of the murder saying " I made some moves with my truck to keep him moving in the right direction.." He actually laughed. Also, at one point in the cellphone video that "Roddy" shot, you can actually hear what sounds like it could be the siding of a firearm inside his vehicle. You can't see anything because the phone is lying on the front seat of his truck. Given the fact that the police never searched his vehicle or actually did any real investigation on the day of the murder, we will never know whether he was armed or not. He claims to have only been a "witness", but we know that isn't true.

Here’s the outrageousness of Mr Gough’s argument:
He makes a direct analogy between Mr Bryant’s involvement in the pursuit of Arbery and the role of police officers, aiding and abetting the pursuit of a criminal, but having no involvement in a gun being discharged. He does this with the intention to liken Mr Arbery to a criminal and the defendants to justified and reasonable law enforcement, in the eyes of the jury. However, not only is it a deeply deceitful analogy, it’s also a complete false equivalency.
The defendants were not on-duty police officers, they were mere civilians. Therefor they acted as vigilantes and had no legal grounds to pursue the matter in the way they did. Their act was criminal, it was unjustified, regardless of whether or not it was racially aggravated, it was beyond their role as civilians and not a proportionate response to a person offering no threat to any of them. There’s simply no justification to their actions and they have no legal leg to stand on, other than false equivalencies.

He saw no crime but had a description of a black man wearing white that had entered an unsecured, unposted construction zone which would be a MISDEMEANOR if it was secured & posted. The McMichael who shot Arbery had not been a LEO that was his father. The 3 men who chased him in 2 trucks attempted to run over Arbery 4 times even running Arbery into a ditch. Arbery had the right to defend himself when T McMichael aimed a shotgun at Arbery. I don't understand how people can take 1 little part of a statement & completely ignore everything else. Bryan aided and abetted the trapping of Arbery which gave his murderous neighbors a chance to murder him.
He was following right along in his truck, filming the whole time. He was actively involved in the murderous shenanigans. No doubt about that.

Just filming a crime shouldn't mean you're also guilty of the crime but this guy went to far beyond just filming something he happened to see. He also chased them down in his truck and made statements asking if they got him. Making statements affirming that he already knew what was going on. He claimed to not know either of the other participants but his testimony after that claim contradicts that.

All trials need to be carried live and give the American people a real view of these biased judges, attys and wintnesses. Our system needs an update.

State law, settled many times - if you are committing a crime and someone gets killed you are guilty of the killing just as much as the actual killer. Getaway drivers at a bank robbery are just as accountable as the guys inside. Sucks, but for (to use the lawyers own analogy) getting up and making bad decisions Mr. Brian would not be sitting at that table.

How does Bryan's lawyer figure that using a truck to corral an innocent jogger into a lethal ambush is not aiding and abetting the resulting murder?
Bryan's actions and intentions mean he is fully culpable for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery, and I hope he never steps foot outside of a prison for the remainder of his undeservedly long life.
And look at the difference between the leeway this judge is giving the attorneys of these murderers compared to the insane protectiveness of the judge in the Rittenhouse murders. This judge is behaving pretty much to the standard that we should expect from our courts. He's letting the defense attorneys poison the proceedings more than I'd like, he could have already told them that any further speculation or motions about the court spectators would result in a contempt charge against the attorney personally. But it generally appears to be going appropriately to me.
While the Rittenhouse judge is acting in such a clearly biased and intemperate manner that it defies the imagination to think it isn't going to be grounds for removal or worse.

Oh, and in your example about police officers, if the arrest was unlawful, and they did not prevent it, then yes, they would be aiding and abetting an unlawful arrest.

  • @ericallensr3435

You do not need a gun to make a citizen arrest. All that was needed is to say you are under arrest for tresspassing, wait here the police are on their way. There is no need to physically accost the individual / or impede his way, if he decides to walk just watch and observe or follow from a distance keeping PD informed. When you become a security guard it is called "powers of arrest". Why even use a shot gun? It wasn't your property the owner did not hire you or ask you to protect it. It is sad the whole scenario is like three hunters chasing prey. From the weapon used to the "frenzied excitement" displayed, it was all shameful.
