what i meant was this 🤘🏽 🙈
Bands today don’t even wipe the shoes of legends like this and floyd
To see a young girl get wrapped up in old guy musical brilliance is a joy to behold. Glad u could let go of ur inhibitions and just enjoy natural rock n roll..
Young people finding the greatest band ever warms my heart. Well done young lady.
Could you imagine fills your dads shoes playing drums with one of the most iconic bands ever hats off to Jason bonham
Jason is chip off the old block when it comes to the drums
He do a great job. Jason is realy good
Yeah true but imagine having John Bonham as your dad
Robert Plant said it was Jason's birthright to play in Led Zeppelin.
Never fails to get the feels a-churning. I remember the night I found out that Bonham died and it ended with my neighbours cursing me out from their garden due to the loud music :O
Led Zeppelin broke up after Bonham past away because " There is no Zeppelin without the original four". They only got back together ( after years of being offered the sky and moon and all between) cause Bonham son played drums. How cool is that! Plant vocal still sick, Page, no words for his guitar skills.
Jimmy turned around and played left-handed...just showin' off...lol
@@kevins9120 The image is reversed.
Jason wasn't even guaranteed the spot. They made him try out and work for it just like anyone else.
I believe the reason they did this show was to honor the passing of the gentleman that signed them to Atlantic Records & they actually made Jason Bonham go through an audition to get this gig.
@@josephklimchock5412 Zeppelin didn't tour in 1978. They played MSG in '77, though...6 shows over 8 nights....
20 MILLION...Yes, 20 million requests for tickets to see this 1 show. Mind-boggling. The only question was why wasn't it 40??
Such great chemistry between the four of them. Only Jason could sit in his father’s place.
I saw Led Zeppelin live 7 times, between 1969 and 1980, and their musicianship was second to none. I only wish I could have got tickets for the O2 gig, to see them one last time, but I was competing against 20 million other people trying to buy tickets. This was truly the best live performance ever.
Fun fact - John Paul Jones, who is playing the keyboards with his hands, is also playing the bass with his feet.
And making it look easy to boot.
JPJ is extremely underappreciated imo, I think he gets overlooked because of.....well, Page, Plant, and Bonham
@@joehynes5452 lol
@@PeterTea Pun intended? LOL
@@sn1ckers100 Lol. Not consciously but I’ll still take the credit ;)
That's Bonham's little boy on drums.
Did an excellent job. Those skins were black and blue after that performance
So glad that Jason had that experience.
Genetics is a hell of a thing!
You bet
He has heavy hands and feet like his dad. I'm sure you can feel it hitting your back.
Robert Plant fully embraced his and Zeppelin's place in rock music history that evening at London's O2 Arena. It's as if Robert knew he would not be doing it ever again, and the concert was the perfect coda to the greatest rock band ever created.
In their twelve years together, their impact on our music is legendary. I recall my niece called me from her college dorm to tell me about this new band she had discovered. She went on and on about their incredible music. It was 1990. After I got up off the floor and stopped laughing, I told her who they were and that they were playing before she was born. Totally defeated she acknowledged she had not discovered this phenomenon. But…. I had a new designation as the “kool” aunt. LOL.
In my generation, each song brings a memory!
"Hey dad I've discovered the best song in the world!"You won't know it." "I might, what is it?" "It's called Stairway to Heaven." Never heard of it!!" 1992.PS love those cats.
I like that
*each song brings a memory*
@@silvereith Fans of Glee: "WOW, they write amazing songs!" SMH
Same thing with my son when he "discovered" Led Zeppelin. Their music transcends generations because it's just good, not a 1960s-1970s sound.
hahaha niiiceeee
Awesome reaction! One of my favorite songs and favorite live performances. The fact that John Bonham's son drummed for them was even better. The closest thing to an actual Led Zeppelin reunion.
The amount of skill and talent on that stage will never happen again. Enjoy it!
The greatest rock band ever, sings their favorite hit!
Led Zeppelin is the band of the gods! There is none higher and there never will be! Greatest rock and roll band ever, PERIOD!
The greatest ever period. Saw them 4 times '73, '75 & twice in '77. Amazing
It's amazing that at 60+ years, these guys can still bring it. It's called talent.
You should watch the entire concert video! They are the greatest band of all time no matter the genre!
Watch the live version of this song from 1979 they did in England, it's on YT. You will be blown away, no auto tune, 4 amazing musicians at the top of their game, sounded like a journey to the other side. This band defies equal, I saw them live twice and they have been my favorite band since I was 14. None better.
One of the greatest rock performances of all time
Greatest Song by the greatest band at the greatest concert. Led Zep waiting for that boy to grow up and put him at his dad's role of greatest drummer of all times is just so over the top legendary. My jaw hit the floor.
Everyone knew that this was going to be so epic that more than 27 million people applied for the 20,000 tickets, that were available for the event, in a worldwide lottery. I've always been a Led Head, but this performance, I just can't get enough of. Great reaction, and thank you for keeping this amazing band in the limelight!
Led Zeppelin might be the best rock band that ever existed.. you need to check out some live performances when they were young... legendary.
They had a power no one ever had before nor will again
Led Zeppelin “Ten Years Gone” is my favorite LZ song, it’s a must listen, trust me😌
I'm pretty sure that is my favorite too. It's like trying to name a favorite child. No Quarter and The Ocean are pretty close. Ten Years Gone just hits different. In a great way.
You guys actually have a favourite Led Zep song but how?
@@tonyd1185 I actually tried to rank my favorites. I started with my top 30. 😄
@@StaciaAmnaber I don’t think I could ever make that decision!
I second that!!
That's the best rock band ever… It's not even close.. majestic
A beautiful woman with a beautiful soul. Thanks for posting your videos. You make me smile through an otherwise down time.
Need to be said that this performance is forty years after they first released this song. The drummer is the son of the original drummer who passed on 1980 that ended the band from touring again, so this performance was something special and imo never sounded better.
Not bad for a bunch of rockers in their 60s (at the time), except for Jason of course.
You may have heard this beat sampled many time, notably most known as Puff Daddy's - Come To Me (Godzilla sound track) where Jimmy Page actually played guitar in that cover recording. I guess Jimmy didn't want anyone else to do his own riff so he happily obliged.
Led Zeppelin is:
Robert Plant (vocals)
Jimmy Page (guitar)
John Paul Jones (bass and keyboards)
John Bonham (drums > RIP 1980) ... Jason Bonham (drums present)
Not that it’s a big deal really, but 2007 is not 40 years after Kashmir was released Physical Graffiti was released in 1975. So that’s 32 years. Think you were going for “about 30 years”. But that doesn’t take away at all from how magnificent this whole concert was…and yeah….in their early sixties (Plant was 59, but why quibble).
@@w.geoffreyspaulding6588 Hurray for Captain Spaulding, the African explorer!
I was at this gig! Never thought I’d see them live. Hearing them so LOUD was unreal.
This was a few years ago. Now imagine them 40 years ago, when they were in their prime.
I was thinking the same thing. As good as they sound here, it had to have been even better then with John on drums and the energy of youth.
Fifty years ago…….or 45 years ago for Kashmir
@@infiad1275 honestly, Plants voice here is better I think than in parts of the 70’s when there was too much strain on it. But yeah….the energy part for sure
41 years ago was 1980….. not in their prime gotta go back 45-50 years ago for their prime
This was really excellent. I have all the albums, and this was a great live performance. Robert's vocals were excellent as well. The whole band was tight and on point. I don't think they could have done any better, even in the 70s.
We just love this woman. Make big smiles
He sounds just as good, powerful and with just as much attitude as ever
I love the way you get into each recording! You feel each verse I don't mind that you repeat sometimes. I am 71 yrs. Old and I always feel the way you do! All of my life!
way to sum it up Karen
One of the BEST songs that is amazing LIVE. And to me this is one of the best live performances if Kashmir
Friggin amazing and beyond..! Definitely the greatest Rock group of all time.!
And to see Robert Plant continue to belt it out flawlessly after all of these years really tops it all off. How many singers can do that?
"When the levee breaks" is a good Led Zep tune to review. Great beat.
I totally agree with that.
I concur. Please watch "When the levee breaks"
Greatest Band to ever grace the stage. Great reaction please more Zeppelin. "The Song Remains the same/ The Rain Song" and "Since ive been Loving You" 1973 live at madisonsquare garden would be great songs to watch you resct to.
Oh yes. Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest bands ever. Since I’ve been loving you live is one of the greatest songs ever. Just unbelievable
Every time I hear Kashmir I have flashbacks! Epic good times! Love your reactions
I do love watching young folks find these gems floating around in space time. I attended a concert in my home town (in New Zealand) in 1972, it is a long way to travel for bands so this was a life changing event. They had released 4 in the previous year. I cannot tell you how much their music has meant to me through my life. Glad you dig it...
You have the sweet, mournful eyes of an empath, as if every human emotion ever felt from the beginning of time spun you into existence. I love watching your reactions. Peace.
fun fact this is from their reunion tour and they are performing this in their 60's and 70's,
also the drummer is the son of the original drummer who has passed away.
Incredible voice ageless & Jimmy Page?!
Bonham 's son filled his Dad's shoes❤
My favorite rock band of all time. Lead singer, Robert Plant’s vocals are legendary as is the rest of the band. Lead guitarist, Jimmy Page broke new ground and conventional norms. Deceased drummer, John Bonham is still regarded as one of the best rock drummers of all time. He was certainly the best of that era. Bassist, John Paul Jones doesn’t get the recognition he deserves for his work.
The drums in this song are fantastic. It's really hypnotic! It feels simple but it's really complex to play, lots of swing in the drums that adds to the feeling.
This song is really closer to a classical piece of music like Ravel's "Bolero" than a rock song. It's a musical trip (a good one). It brings you to places you have never been...
That whole concert is INSANE! They were back like they never left. You were trying to hold back and I was respecting that. But you knew! I enjoy your reaction. "Damn! She knows!" Thank you for this experience.
My favorite rock band ever. I grew up in the 50s and 60s, served in the 70s and listened to all of the amazing music we had then. Led Zeppelin just did it better, their creative genius was sublime.
I saw Page and Plant live in 1995 as a birthday present from my dad. My best friend, and his Dad, joined us for the show. It still ranks in my best 3 concerts ever, and only because I didn't know enough of Led Zeppelin's songs to really get it. Kashmir, however, was a genuine experience. It surpassed this performance by several degrees. While it lacked Jason Bonham on drums, it did have a full complement of middle eastern musicians filling out the orchestra. It was, at least, a 15 minute version of the song. Astounding.
As old as they were here...in their 60s...they are still the greatest!!
You should check out something from the 1973 Madison Square Garden Concert when they were young and Gods of rock. The lead singer Robert Plant is the definition of lead singers and just exudes sex appeal and charisma. And Jimmy Page the guitarists was equally bad ass. Generally speaking Zepp to me is always best live but this is one of the few Zepp songs I prefer the studio version over any live version. That being said, you did pick the best live version of the song out there. Unfortunately they are all 60 years old in this version. LOL. And the drummer is long dead. He died in 1980 from suffocating on his own vomit after throwing up. Thats his son filling in for him. This song is actually 46 years old and probably their second most popular song. Thats saying a lot for the number one band of the 70's.
No no. The number 1 band of all time. That’s Led Zeppelin!
They still rock god’s
The movie is “The Song Remains the same. And yes, it’s so sexy because Plant wears his jeans so
tight you can determine his religion! I saw it on the big screen three times in the day, and you didn’t have to bring your own because the theatre reared, lol! Great concert, great album!!!
Before song “damn 9 minutes is long”
Once song starts “9 minutes isn’t long enough”
this how I feel with
Pearl Jam - *Black*
Can I just say: "Young lady, you must be tired from working so hard trying to get to all these hundreds of requests!!! And yet, here you are killing it with the reactions just like the musicians are on that stage!" It had to be mentioned...
😩🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 the show goes on until I lose my voice! which is starting to happen haha thank you though. i appreciate that 💜

How fortunate were we to grow up with this exceptional music as our early youth born in 58, now at 63 yrs young still love it
the fact that their original drummers son Jason Bonham , his father John Bonham was the greatest drummer of all
time playing with them makes this an awesome video .
Cheers

Just when you fall in love with Zeppelin, and assume no one should cover their songs, you must watch the Kennedy Center Honors... Heart performing Stairway to Heaven. Bonham's son played on that also. I promise if you haven't seen it, it will take your breath away!!♥️
You picked one of the BEST to watch this time too! They're amazeballs! Loved it!
Most definitely!!!! It will bring a tear to the eye. Excellent recommendation Debster .
Led Zep, best blues rock band ever. Their Celebration day "2007" version of Kashmir at their age is amazing. Amazing drum work by John Bonham's son Jason. Loved John Paul Jones on the keyboard as well. Thx Rogue
Robert Plant has stated, all of the songs he has written and recorded - Kashmir is the best.
Led Zeppelin is a whole different thing. Their talent and experimentation of sounds (Arabic carpet ride) is beyond the talent of what most rock bands can do. It was fun to watch you witness that. It brings back how we felt when we were first blown away.
Best band ever. Period. Its like you have at the same band Beethoven, Mozart, Da Vinci and Salvador Dali.
Only band where a crowd of 20,000 is nearly silent 90% of the time because they don’t wanna miss ANYTHING
The greatest rock song in the history of forever IMHO...Jason is beating the drums like it owes him money...Awesomeness
I watched an interview with Jimmy Paige and he said the guitar riff of this song was something he used to play to warm up before gigs just to get loose. Later it developed into the song it is now.
It's a masterpiece
Live years later and they were STILL amazing! Johns son Jason Bonham on drums. Classic! ♥️🎼🎶🎵🇨🇦🇨🇦
The best part of the song is that transition that you paused at, and played again..I absolutely LOVE that!
Jason Bonham on drums, he’s the son of original drummer John Bonham (r i p)
I love your reactions! You can tell you are genuinely excited by the vibe.
🙌🏽
They're playing like they did in the 70's. Tapping back into that high Rock energy like they never aged a day. Amazing!
I could watch her rock out to good, classic and real music...all. day. long
musically and lyrically as close to perfection as a song can be.
Love your reaction - a great version that proves they still have it after so many years. And Jason Bonham does a fantastic job job of filling his late, great father’s shoes. As has been suggested, check them out in their prime - Madison Square Gardens 1973 ‘Since I’ve been lovin’ you’ is a classic.
They was something to see live. Very amazing evening.
You go get that music girl! Your passion for good music is infectious
Truly one of the greatest rock songs of all time. Certainly one of my favorite tunes. And I ALWAYS forget how good Zeppelin was live. Always.
Stunning live version!!! Lucky for those that attended this live concert at the London O2!
Jason Bonham covering his dad's drumming talented original 😆
The most exciting live version of this classic song.
@@geoffreyleggett3256 I also love the “No Quarter” filmed version with the Egyptian and Western musicians.
Probably the greatest song by probably the greatest rock band of all time.
This is a spiritually powerful song which moves many people greatly. The lyrics are spiritual and the music perfectly compliments the lyrics. Notice in the video when Robert Plant sings "Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace" he points up to heaven. Here are all the lyrics:
Oh, let the sun beat down upon my face
With stars to fill my dreams
I am a traveler of both time and space
To be where I have been
Sit with elders of the gentle race
This world has seldom seen
Talk of days for which they sit and wait
All will be revealed
[Verse 2]
Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace
Whose sounds caress my ear
But not a word I heard could I relate
The story was quite clear
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
[Verse 3]
Ooh, baby, I been flying
No yeah, mama, there ain't no denying
Oh, ooh, yeah I've been flying
Mama, mama, ain't no denying, no denying
Oh, all I see turns to brown
As the sun burns the ground
And my eyes fill with sand
As I scan this wasted land
Trying to find, trying to find, where I've been
[Verse 5]
Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace
Like thoughts inside a dream
Here is the path that led me to that place
Yellow desert stream
My Shangri-La beneath the summer moon
I will return again
Sure as the dust that floats high in June
When movin' through Kashmir
[Verse 6]
Oh, father of the four winds, fill my sails
Across the sea of years
With no provision but an open face
Along the straits of fear
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
[Bridge]
Ooooh
[Verse 7/Outro]
Oh, when I'm on, when I'm on my way, yeah
When I see, when I see the way, you stay-yeah
Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, when I'm down
Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, but I'm down, so down
Ooh, my baby, ooh, my baby, let me take you there
Oh..Come on, oh, let me take you there...let me take you there
Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, let me take you there...let me take you there
I cant stress enough how much you need to hear Zeppelin do "WHOLE LOTTA LOVE" But if you do, be prepared to fall into the rabbit hole
now you need to hear dazed and confuzed the studio version is the best one, by far the best singing he has done ever
The live 30 minute one Jesus it’s kind blowing
Proof that 'ol rockers never die! They just fade away...AWESOME!!!

This blew me away when I first saw it years ago. Thank you, Rogue, for taking me back! You sure do make my working from home better...you're enthusiasm, your beauty, the great music...! Love ya!
This is one of their songs from the double album "Physical Grafitti" that came out back in my senior year of high school. It was an amazing song then it's still amazing when this video was shot some 32 years after the original and damn almost 50 years later now IT STILL KICKS ASS! Man being a teen in the seventies was the greatest.
The drummer is the son of the bands original drummer who died back in 1980, after that they stopped touring. This was the only time since then they played a full set, they did a couple songs together here and there over the years.
Now if you want a kick in the seat, there is a live version here on UA-cam from 1977 or 1979 to see them in their prime.
I was one of the millions that were heartbroken when Jon Bonham died, realizing that it meant the end of Zeppelin forever. Then over 20 years later another Bonham made the dream come true again. And it's truly amazing that we get to hear and see this and so many millions more unbelievable performances through the magic of the www !!!
And let's all have a nod of respect for John Paul Jones, the Led Zep secret weapon. The reason they could have synth strings in a live song like this and yet not have a keyboard droning away during Black Dog
Yes yes yes!!
as well as the three necked guitar to allow "ten years gone" to be played live
Joyous to see you start your Led Zep journey .. the one I`ve been on now for nearly 50 years.
John Bonham's son on the drums. No one else could replace his old man on the drums. The band couldn't go on after Robert Plant lost his best friend. This celebration Day performance shows the band being just the same that made them the best Rock band ever! Jimmy Page's guitar playing always exceptional. John Paul Jones wasn't just a bass player, he carried all the other instruments to make their sound original. Robert Plant's voice still strong at crooning and moaning, none can compare!
Love and dedication to his father's craft, Jason Bonham practiced in his apartment to get his Dad's strikes perfect and he's the only one that could respectfully take his Dad's place.
Take a listen to all of the Led Zeppelin music and enjoy.
Hoka Hey
Greatest rock song - EVER. By the greatest rock group - EVER. Today's music isn't even as the same galaxy as this
This was done in 2004 I believe. One of the very few times Led Zeppelin played together, and normally w Jason Bonham playing drums. Plant was his Godfather and they are extremely close. At an age where most vocals are thready Plant sounds like they just stopped a week ago. Jason kills the drums, Page is Page…magnificent.
Wonderful to see the younger generations appreciating the music of the classic era. Beautiful.
Led Zeppelin: “Let me take you there.”
Me: “I’m there.”
A few times there, his voice from when he was 20 years old returned. God Bless you Robert!
The beat you love is them playing in different time signatures. Bonham (drums) is playing 4/4 time while Page (guitar) is playing 3/4 time. Very hard to do and gives it its signature sound.
Oooh!)All members of Led Zeppelin consider "Kashmir" one of the main achievements of the group!))Thanks! You are the best(and beautiful)))⚡👏😇🌷🇷🇺
