Yes, that’s Jason Bonham on drums, son of John Bonham original member of Led Zeppelin, one of the greatest drummers of all time! who sadly passed in 1980 causing the band to break up. This is the only FULL show they have ever done since 1980. And I was VERY privileged to have been there in 2007 in London, considering there were 20 million requests for tickets for that one show! Great performance of the song and great to see them having one great night with Bonzo’s son, Jason filling in 😊
Rush's, Neil Peart would give John a run for his money. Equal in drumming skills Neil had a little more longivity, Jason has similar style as his father. Love them both Thanks Maddy.
What a talented group, John Paul Jones, the quiet but essential member of the group who can play anything, Bass guitar, mandolin, keyboards etc.. He plays the bass line with his feet whilst on keyboards. He knits the whole performance together.
What can you say.... The best rock band ever and the most mysterious rock song ever... It instantly grabs you and locks you in till the end... No escaping the power of Kashmir! Jason is a beast on the drums!! Do a Ronnie James Dio sometime...."we rock" live... With Vivian Campbell on the axe... Even though Ronnie was a little guy... Like 5'5, he just was a voice bomb!! Energy drinks could learn a few things from Ronnie and Vivian playing live...rip Ronnie 👍👍
What is astounding is that this performance is 32 years after the initial release date, when Robert Plant was approx 59, and Jimmy Page approx 63 years old. IMHO, this sounds as good as the studio album. They, like fine wine, have aged well. (And almost as beautiful as Maddy! 😉) ✌️ ☮️ 🎸 🎶 🎵 🇺🇸 ❤
This was a one time show to benefit the charity of their original record producer at Atlantic records who signed them in late 1968! There were 20 million requests for tickets when this was announced on-line, for an 18k+ venue, breaking the record for interest in any live performance in history! They practiced together 6 weeks after not having played as a group in 27+ years. The late John Bonham's son on drums, he was born in 1968 just before the band was founded.
Jason was born in 1966, two years before Zeppelin was founded, around the time that his father John was in Crawling King Snakes with Robert Plant. This concert was 19 years after last playing together, as Jason played with them for the 40th anniversary show in 1988. Facts are important when commenting.
Led zeppelin one of the top quality rock bands from an incredible era witch was the birth place and time of so many very talented rock groups I'm 74 years young now and I feelextremely fortunate to have grown with all these wonderful rock bands this performance was absolutely superb they may be older but they are like a good wine class act loved your reaction
I saw Zeppelin live 7 times from 1969 to 1980, but sadly I wasn't lucky enough to get a ticket to see this concert. This rendition of Kashmir is the best I've ever seen, and Jason was absolutely amazing. His dad would have been so proud!
Maddy, thanks for reacting to this video. Kashmir brought back so many memories for me. I saw Page and Plant perform this song live in Atlanta with my late brother. This concert was after Led Zeppelin had broken up. Kasmir was the best performance from that incredible concert. I think it's one of those songs that you could be completely sober and still enter into another state of mind while listening to it. It is a truly iconic rock song!
Jason Bonham slayed those drums!!! I honestly loved this version every bit as much as their original studio release version. Maddy's reaction was just the icing on the cake! Thanks, Maddy!!!
When Robert Plant was asked "why is stairway the best Zepellin song", he said "its not Kasmir is", Zepellin are not a type, or a kind of music, they are in their own stratosphere, they cannot be bracketed, they are simply the G.O.A.T.
Led Zeppelin is one of the GREATEST band of all time !!!!! Thank you Maddy, great reaction and thank you for playing the whole ending showing respect and crowd cheering!!!
The Plant / Page No Quarter tour toured with a full Egyptian orchestra & we sat right behind the band / early &0s w a psychedelic huge video screen facing us … guys passing gold reefs back… it was as good as Led Zep & I saw them in their heyday! Gratitude 🙏🏼 I really love seeing the kids discover this heritage music & keep it alive! It’s like watching with them for the first time ❤
Led Zeppelin has not toured since the passing of their drummer John Bonham in 1980. Other than a couple short set benefit appearances in the 80s with different drummers and the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame induction this was a one-off full set, two encore reunion concert called Celebration Day benefit. Jason, son of the late great John Bonham sat behind his dad's preserved drum kit for this show, also used it in the Heart tribute to LZ. Great reaction Maddy, You Rock!
A good comparison with this version would be the live version of Kashmir from Knebworth, 1979, with John Bonham (Jason's father) on the drums, a year before he passed.
It is a shame they did not tour after the 2007 reunion concert, they said the could have filled the O2 Arena 500 times with all the ticket demand there was. Simply the best forever.
This is my favourite video of a performance of this song, mainly for the quality of production. Also, as a man of a certain age ( only slightly younger than Robert, Jimmy and John Paul) I am in awe that they can still put on such a show in their 60s.
You can see Jason Bonham in The Song Remains the Same 1977 movie as a very young child with his dad teaching him to play the drums. This was an incredible comeback for Zep! Love it, thanks!
Led Zeppelin was a band formed in 1968 and that lasted until 1980, the band ended precisely due to the death of its drummer (John Bonham) at the age of 32 in 1980. The three remaining musicians (Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page) concluded that it wouldn't be worth continuing without the drummer. This performance in the video above was one of the few special reunions they held after the band's end and took place in 2007, the three musicians were 59, 61 and 63 years old respectively at this event. And the drummer here is Jason Bonham, son of the deceased original drummer, and the same one who participated in Heart's performance.
I remember signing up for the lottery to get tickets for this show. There were 20,000 tickets up for sale. 18 million people crashed the site in the first 10 minutes. Everyone was hoping for a tour but I think everyone knew this was sadly their last show.
They picked up this idea for this song from combining rock, blues and music from India and it is fantastic! It has a spiritual vibe that transcends all religions!!
Twenty Seven years after John Bonham's death. Yes , That's his son , Jason . He's played Zeppelin music practically all his life. He was 40 then Jimmy - 63 Robert - 59 JPJ - 61 In 2007 , When this was recorded P s. 20 + million people requested tickets for this show.
Jason Bonham! Very cool!!! I'm about the same age as them except for Jason. I originally saw them perform live in 1969 when we were all young! RIP John Bonham. I can't help but get emotional seeing this performance. They still ROCK!!!!
This concert was 31 years after the release of "Physical Graffiti" one of, if not the best albums ever. 16 year old me saved up my money to buy this when it came out in February 1975. It has been my favorite Zeppelin song ever since. Keep in mind I had every one of their records at that point. This was a one shot deal, even though they were offered a 💩 load of money to do a tour Robert turned it down.
If Jason Bonham were not the son of John people would give Jason the credit he is due to just how INCREDIBLE of a drummer he truly is. I Got a SUPER rare treat to share. I had heard of his Led Zepplin tribute band an evening with Led Zeppelin and read that they are insanely good. Saw them downtown in Columbus, Ohio in the outdoor amplitheater THEY KILLED IT. THen about a year or so later and event popped up from Ticketmaster letting me know that they were playing in Columbus at the Blue Stone. Its a great venue but it only holds maybe 600 or so people it was like a 10 day booking that just went for sale and I nabbed some tickets. Turns out and Jason said this on stage, was that they were in Columbus because Rochester at the last minute canceled a booked show. Needless to say, they were not happy about losing the gig. The amount of money you have to pay out on a daily basis just to move, feeed and house people is a staggering number. So the whole band was super jacked up to really kill it was evident and they did not disappoint. Jason is a killer Drummer in his own right!
Jason hammered those drums. His performance was great. I agree with you thoughts on the cameramen. They did a great shot of everyone and did not neglect anyone including John Paul Jones who has been historically ignored by the cameramen. He is the one that quietly kept that group topnotch.
This show is 2007, 38 years on from their start (as Led Zeppelin) in 1969...they haven't missed a step!!! I wasn't at this show (did get to see them before John's death and their initial breakup) but I did get to see Jimmy Page playing with the Black Crowes ( a lot of Zeppelin songs were played) ;-)
The drummer is the prodigal son of the legendary John Bonham, the original drummer for Led Zep. He frequently appears on most drummers top 10 lists. He is also known in the drumming world for his specific style of drumming. Its refered to as "Bonham Triplets.". Jason Bonham knocked it out of the park at this concert and at some others ive seen.
Saw Zep in 77 at the Kingdome of Seattle. 4 hour show with no backup bands. 3 years before Bonham left us... What a great show. A prominent psycic predected the Kingdome would fall... Happily she was wrong. Saw Bonham (Jason as you see drumming here) years later in an outdoor venue, dope show. This is my favorite Zep song too. Rock on!
I got to see them when I was 17 in 1977 for $11 in Chicago. Never forget it. Man! was I blessed to be able to say that!!!! Legends at the top of the rock mountain. I just wish I hadn't been so high at the time but hey, it was 1977 after all. 😂😊
As old as they are here...they were in their early 60s....still the greatest!! John Bonham s son...the original drummer who died in 1980 ending the band.
Another thoughtful, erudite and appreciative review Maddy. From the great, eagerly awaited reunion. Brilliant that Jason was able to replace his father and play with his three "uncles". My first Zeppelin experience was buying the 45rpm of "Immigrant Song" (one of very few Zeppelin releases in the single format) in 1970, in my first year of high school, with my earnings from selling newspapers at local pubs. I think I still have it somewhere, after 53 years and moving house six times in five different towns. They are immortal giants of music.
When they stopped playing in 1980 because the drummer died this band's music was over out of respect for his death but here they are playing a concert.
They reunited for that concert only, on December 10, 2007 at the O2 Arena in London, a special, unique event, and drummer John Bonham, who died in 1980, was replaced by his son Jason. Yes, Jason Bonham played with Heart when they performed "Stairway to Heaven" on December 2, 2012 at the Kennedy Center Honors.
This was a one off show that was sold as a lottery. 20+ million people tried to get tickets and only 20k got in! They haven't played together in years and yet they still sound like this! I heard Jason Bonham was really nervous an in tears about measuring up to his father right before the concert and Plant reassured him that "you got this". Real musicians!
Ooh, my favorite Led Zep song!!!!❤❤❤ 🤘🤘🤘 Found your channel searching for 4th impact reaction videos but this reaction video definitely made me hit subscribe since i love everything Led Zeppelin! Classisc, timeless, clearly their masterpiece - Kashmir! I love this song so much i have this on loop while I'm running a 3k. The original recording has thst beat that you can time your breath with while running. ❤
All of them were in their late middle age at this point with the exception of the late John Bonham's son on the drums. So elder statesmen for this final reunion, and they still brought it home and reminded people in 2007 why they were considered among the greatest acts ever to grace the stage.
Great reaction. I felt the same way watching this. Rock n Roll Royalty for a reason, right? Love seeing Led Zepplin nail it. This is a real experience. Master class.
Jimmy Page on guitar, Robert Plant on vocals, Jason Bonham on drums sitting in for his father John Bonham (RIP), and John Paul Jones (JPJ) on keys and bass pedals it's some of the best music you are ever going to hear. Always loved JPJ on bass and keys. Hey Maddy, What's the best way to put a request in and verify it?
The drummer is indeed Bonzo’s son Jason. When it’s all said and done…Jason will go down as the greatest Rock Drummer of All Time. He has been asked to be part of every great rock collaboration put together for the last 25 years. He gets overlooked because his dad was called one of the Greatest ever…but when the dust settles…people will start to realize that Jason is indeed the true Legend “BECAUSE” he was the son of Bonzo. I have followed Jason since his first band…BONHAM. His name got him recognition…his skills are gonna see him into eternity.
They are all near 60 yrs here...except for drummer Jason Bonham (near 40 yrs here). Zeppelin disbanded when drummer John Bonham died in 1980; when Jason was but 14 yrs old. This is a special video.
There's a recent video by a fan following RP around the streets of Marrakesh, Morocco. When he notices, he acts goofy for the camera just for the fun of it. He always seemed to be a good-natured, happy person. We were lucky enough to see Zep a couple of times back in the day.
INGRAINED GREATNESS!!! YES I'm Digging That! Every time I hear this song and this particular performance I think This HAD TO Be the most Sonically Epic Dynamic Song EVER!! What Competes or at least equals?? Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎
This has been my favourite Led Zeppelin song from my favourite album " Physical Graffiti " since I queued outside the record shop to buy it on release 48 years ago ! Unlike me it never ages or gets tired 🤣🤣🤣
I saw them live twice in 1977 and this sounded pretty much as good as they did in '77. As others have said, yes, it is Jason Bonham, original drummer John Bonham's son on drums. Jason is a very established drummer in his old right.
Wow John has got to be proud of his son Jason, beating the hell out of them drums. These guys are legends, there are just no bands like this anymore. The talent just doesn’t exist to this degree.Bands of this caliber can’t be found anymore.
The studio version with all its production quality will transcend you to a time and place that is Kashmir. When you have a few minutes please put on your headphones block out the world and listen to the original studio album version. Then you will truly be one of us. "I will take you there"
I know people talk Jimmy and his amazing riffs but it seems to me that the sound he put out in this performance was like his guitar was nuclear infused. The thing sounds like two or three instruments. For the amount of time they didn't get on the stage together it's a truly magnificent performance
Hey maddy great reaction as usual, hope you're OK, I'm nearly through your latest zeppelin reaction, Jason Bonham on drums is the son of the late John Bonham, a couple of points, I thoroughly recommend if your a reader Zeppelin book called Hammer of the gods,it tells their story from start to finish, one time they were rehearsing for a big outdoor event in America, John Bonham went down to where the crowd would be, Jason as a teenager went on drums, John later said that was the only time he actually saw zeppelin play, in the film The song remains the same when it's John Bonhams section we see a very young Jason playing a miniature drum kit twiddling the sticks about his head like his dad used to do,just one last bit of useless information, when they were going to reform for this one off concert which by the way over 20,000,000 World wide applied for, the three original members discussed who could play drums, John Paul Jones the bass, keyboard player said (there's only one capable because he apparently knew every zeppelin song by heart) that was Jason Bonham, good god didn't he do a fantastic job,now for my request please, petty please, a very much overlooked English band Ten years after, the guitarist Alvin Lee, won of the very best, up there with Clapton, Jimmy page, Hendrix, the list goes on, anyway the tracks called Help me,but you must do the live version, hope you do, you take care, all the best, English Billy.
This was a 1 off performance after decades of inactivity by the band following the death of their drummer John Bonham in 1980. The drummer in this video (and Heart's Led Zeppelin tribute) is Jason Bonham the son of Led Zeppelin's original drummer John Bonham. Jason Bonham is an accomplished drummer having toured with the band Foreigner for several years. Sammy Hagar recently announced a Van Halen tribute tour with Jason Bonham playing drums.
Just joined your channel Maddy - yea Zeppelin's reach today is beyond anything would ever imagined when I first listened to them - some years ago- on VINYL !! ..... love the react channels - especially yours Maddy - a group called Zepparella has taken serious followers as they clone the original Zep band. Keep the great reviews going - your doing great. My best, Simon
Yes, that’s Jason Bonham on drums, son of John Bonham original member of Led Zeppelin, one of the greatest drummers of all time! who sadly passed in 1980 causing the band to break up. Privileged indeed!
I was also lucky enough to be there. It was the best thing I've ever seen!
OMG...I didn't get a ticket 😢
You’re were very fortunate. I was one of the 20 mil not so fortunate. 😢. I was fortunate enough to see the last ever North American tour concert. 🎼🎸🎸
What a talented group, John Paul Jones, the quiet but essential member of the group who can play anything, Bass guitar, mandolin, keyboards etc.. He plays the bass line with his feet whilst on keyboards. He knits the whole performance together.
Kashmir is my favorite Leppelin tune. And this version, even at their very mature age, was phenomenal. Gotta love these guys. 👏👏
What can you say.... The best rock band ever and the most mysterious rock song ever... It instantly grabs you and locks you in till the end... No escaping the power of Kashmir! Coming back for one concert after 27 years and manifesting to be still the biggest rock band.
@@hw2508 20,000,000 ticket requests for one gig. All that needs to be said really.
Maddy is one fine looking woman, u got that right..........
The amount of talent and skill on that stage is biblical.
Hi Maddy, l applaud you for not cutting off the crowd's reaction...Zep deserves the respect...we were honored to see them. ..( in '73) Incomparable!
This was a one time show to benefit the charity of their original record producer at Atlantic records who signed them in late 1968! I was there in Atlanta! I cried happy tears when they played Celebration Day!
20 million people applied for tickets for this singular show; 20 million - that says it all! I can barely get 2 friends to hang out on a Friday night.
Jason Bonham slayed those drums!!! I honestly loved this version every bit as much as their original studio release version. Maddy's reaction was just the icing on the cake! Thanks, Maddy!!!
The Band is always so damn great! GOAT!!!!!
When Robert Plant was asked "why is stairway the best Zepellin song", he said "its not Kasmir is", Zepellin are not a type, or a kind of music, they are in their own stratosphere, they cannot be bracketed, they are simply the G.O.A.T.
The whole concert is here on UA-cam, 2 VERY well spent hours.
This needs to be turned up to 11!!
John Paul Jones calmly sitting there, playing keyboards and Bass with his feet!
Led Zeppelin is one of the GREATEST band of all time !!!!! Thank you Maddy, great reaction and thank you for playing the whole ending showing respect and crowd cheering!!!

Always amazing all that music is coming from 3 guys with instruments and a singer. They create such a fullness.

Has to be one of the best rock anthems of all time 👌

I grew up listening to Led Zepplin. Had every album. They aged with grace so well. 😍
Twenty Seven years after John Bonham's death. Yes , That's his son , Jason . He's played Zeppelin music practically all his life. He was 40 then
Jimmy - 63

I am happy being teenager in their era. ❤🙏🏽
Excellent reaction one of the best rock band ever playing one of the best rock song ever they still know how to rock later beautiful.❤️🤘🤘🤘🤘😎🇺🇸

This was a one shot deal, even though they were offered a 💩 load of money to do a tour Robert turned it down.
I always said it's their best album because it's a double album, wore all mine out.
Me too, same age by the way. Being a girl, Huge poster of Robert was hanging in my bedroom.

They still hold the record for the biggest stadium performances ever till this day, beating even the Beatles.
Very glad you listened to this performance . This was The 'one to see' .
This show is 2007, 38 years on from their start (as Led Zeppelin) in 1969...they haven't missed a step!!! Wow, that sure was classic. Thanks for the reaction and a big shout out to Rick for the request!!!

Great reaction Beautiful Maddy
"Ingrained greatness" - spot on 👍
As old as they are here...they were in their early 60s....still the greatest!! John Bonham s son...the original drummer who died in 1980 ending the band.
IMHO This is the greatest rock song ever !!!!
Yes. Jason is the son of Jon who passed away. RIP.
All-time classic!
Definitely
You shook me from their first album ❤❤❤
Awesome performance of such a Classic!!! I loved your wonderful reaction. 🌹🌹❤️❤️❤️❤️
One of the most iconic guitar riffs ever
Nice one Madds, rockin’ your Robert Plant hair! 🤘🏻
Although there were many great bands and artists in the 1970s, Led Zeppelin dominated. And for good reason.
There was over 20 million ticket requests for this one show

This was a one off show that was sold as a lottery. 20+ million people tried to get tickets and only 20k got in! They haven't played together in years and yet they still sound like this! I heard Jason Bonham was really nervous an in tears about measuring up to his father right before the concert and Plant reassured him that "you got this". Real musicians!
Ooh, my favorite Led Zep song!!!!❤❤❤ 🤘🤘🤘
Found your channel searching for 4th impact reaction videos but this reaction video definitely made me hit subscribe since i love everything Led Zeppelin!
The very definition of Rock Gods! Kashmir Baby! Crank It Up!
When this concert was announced there was 20million requests for tickets in 24hours
Still love ❤this song. Thank you for your great reaction Maddie!!!🎉
They are all near 60 yrs here...except for drummer Jason Bonham (near 40 yrs here). Zeppelin disbanded when drummer John Bonham died in 1980; when Jason was but 14 yrs old. This is a special video.
This is a mystical experience!
Absolute Rock Stars!
Going to see Robert Plant on August 13th and 14th at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver... can't wait!!! ❤🤘
10 Million requested tickets to this show and many missed Ducky Lips Jimmy ,so sad so so bad
Over 20,000,000 and I was one of them
There's a recent video by a fan following RP around the streets of Marrakesh, Morocco. When he notices, he acts goofy for the camera just for the fun of it. He always seemed to be a good-natured, happy person. We were lucky enough to see Zep a couple of times back in the day.
Drummer is Jason Bonham son of John Bonham the original drummer. This is one of my favorites.Thank you Maddy!!
Kashmir was a sonic masterpiece of its time.
INGRAINED GREATNESS!!! YES I'm Digging That! Every time I hear this song and this particular performance I think This HAD TO Be the most Sonically Epic Dynamic Song EVER!! What Competes or at least equals?? Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎
What can one say about Led Zeppelin.... God's of Rock & Roll... except.... we're not worthy!
A TIMELESS Masterpiece with the MARK 2.0 Led Zp Lineup.....the fastest Selling Reunion Concert ever !
Wow John has got to be proud of his son Jason, beating the hell out of them drums. These guys are legends, there are just no bands like this anymore. The talent just doesn’t exist to this degree.Bands of this caliber can’t be found anymore.
Pure power !
He's the son of the original drummer, the one that played with heart.
Jason Bonham on drums , taking over for his legendary father John Bonham, what a fantastic show!
