You talked about how drummers could be underestimated or underappreciated in a band. You left out John Paul Jones. He is probably the most underappreciated member of Led Zeppelin. He does so much in the background that people don’t even know. He plays bass and he covers keyboard and he does so much with the production with putting the albums together. So don’t ever forget to give John Paul Jones his props.
Yes the if you could say the secret weapon of Zeppelin- no string or wood winds that hee couldn’t play- probably the best all a around best musician of at leastPlant and Page and BUT BONHAM OUTSHINES ALL OTHER DRUMMER S TO THIS DAY, WITH HIS NO ONE CAN MASTE, Bonzo busting off
Yep, the whole middle eastern sound to this, definitely makes the song what it is (more so than anything else imo). Not to mention his playing bass with his foot.
That man does it all. And stays in the shadows. But I have seen him live with Zep. And like martial arts, "The one who doesn't talk about his skill, surely is a master". And he is.
Not bad for 3 rock god musicians and best rock lead singer ever. no dancers, no back ups, no extra singers, no costume changes, just genius music. Its all you need!!!! good luck finding another group like them.
@Tracy D - Rush is great but Geddys voice gets old. Their stuff that sounds like Sabbath is their best in my estimation. I'd rather hear The Guess Who, April Wine, Triumph, Tea Party, or The Tragically Hip than Rush as far as Canadian bands go. I think I left a few out.

This is from the concert in 2007 at the O2 Arena in London. I'm 67, so this music is from my generation. Zeppelin is my ALL-TIME favorite band. Just to give you a little scope of the impact they made on music, there were 20 MILLION ticket requests for this one-time concert. They broke attendance records (for the time) when they came to Tampa Stadium in 1973. Best concert EVER!!! (and I've seen almost all of the classic groups from my generation). So glad to see so many young people reacting to my music. lol
@@chrisd7047 I love Robert Plant but he certainly didn’t look after his voice in the early days which has really affected his range and power now, it’s quite obvious actually just by listening to him.
