    Just came across your video as I was having the same issue (water under the crisper drawers and leaking down the front of the refrigerator, and ultimately onto the floor). My refrigerator (Samsung RF28JBEDBSG/AA, 7 years old) drain line was clogged and under pressure as you described (luckily I was prepared for water spraying out all over). I cleaned it out and soaked in vinegar to remove all sediment and debris from the drain line. I did this to both the refrigerator drain line as well as the ice maker drain line. So far, so good after a week, NO WATER!! Thanks again for the straight-forward and informative video!

    I did this and it still won't drain. I believe line running through inside of fridge is stopped up. Any ideas on how to unclog?

      Hi thanks for your comment. I did this while recording the video but I edited it out. I took some plastic weed trimmer line and fed it down the drain hole until it reached the drain pan. It had a pretty good drain path so I know it would drain ok. It may just help a bit to push some debris down the pipe. If not you can at least tell if the drain path is blocked or not. Remember you do any repairs at your own risk and remember most of all don't forget to turn off the power.

    Great video, thank you. I have literally just done exactly this, I had the same problem, i hoovered out the filaments, cleaned the pipes that were blocked, I had a wash of water as well, I also done the piece of metal mod, not on this video inside the fridge, works lovely now.

      This is so great to hear! I thought I will do the simple stuff first to see if it will fix the problem. If necessary go in do more repairs. Thankfully just this part fixed the problem. Thanks for sharing your experience with this. All the best!

    Interesting. Since you never use the ice maker, why didn't you simply swap the never used ice maker pipe for the refrigerator pipe?

      This is a good question and glad you picked up on this. Basically that could have been done but the pipe that was blocked was ok. I merely poked out the blockage which was basically a calcium deposit and it was just fine. Thanks for commenting and happy holidays and New Year 2023!

      @@IsInterestinghow much does this cost

    • @IsInteresting
      @IsInteresting  Рік тому +1

      @@claracarlton7658 there is no cost since I just removed the obstruction and used the existing pipe. Basically gave it a good cleaning. You can order parts on Amazon which I have placed a link etc.

    so my fridge has those 2 white hoses, but one is shorter. My question is what is the black hose over to the left? Did you mean YOU don't use the icemaker or all fridges don't use that hose?

      I don't use my ice maker. Also I believe these ice makers are defective and freeze up solid. Thanks for your comments.
