    It's 2am and I've just uncloged my fridge water drainage thanks to this video. Very therapeutic 😌. 2 wks on and it's still working 🙌🙌🙌🙌

    THANK YOU SO MUCH! This video was the answer to our problem. Once we removed the drain tube water gushed out! Our clog was not in the tube BUT the small attached udder of the tube. Just like you said, clean it with a straw then we flushed it with hot water! Perfect! Now we'll subscribe. Thank you again macdaddypimpping!

    This may be a dumb question, but where does the water normally go that drains from that tube?

    • @vincentdelfonic
      @vincentdelfonic 4 роки тому +3

      It collects/drains into a plastic drain pan or cup that is near the fan. The fan causes the water to evaporate.

      Refrigerators with automatic defrost have a drain tube that carries water from the defrost cycle to a fixed drain pan under the refrigerator. The usual evidence of a clogged drain in a side-by-side is the discovery of ice under the bottom basket in the freezer compartment.

    • @macdaddypimpping
      @macdaddypimpping  3 роки тому

      Many people aren't aware that their fridge contains a drain hole. This drain hole is in place to catch the moisture which collects in a fridge, particularly that which builds up on the back wall of the fridge. If the drain hole becomes blocked, this then causes problems for the rest of your refrigerator.

    • @macdaddypimpping
      @macdaddypimpping  Рік тому

      Little water condensation and that's why there's no catch can, just drip on the metal panel on the back.

      Do you mean a folded metal coat hanger with a cotton ball held in place with tape? You are genius!!!
      As a retired ASE Master Auto Tech, cut the nylon wire tie, they cost $0.03 cents each. A wire tie from a bread sack or contractors bag. Not everyone has an air compressor but more likely to have a garden hose. I have old speedo cable flex shaft that would work.
      Yes, he got the job done. Yes, this video will be seen by many who never owned tools, all plastic or wooden coat hangers but watch the incredible effort in cleaning the little “P-Trap” was brutal. Also, a small amount of water should be added before installing. This just keep the warm air from the condenser coil from going up the tube to the evaporator. This part get cold, a heater wire comes on via a timer once every 8hrs or so (Yours will Vary) but heat rises up the coils, melts frost/ice and it gathered into a tube that exists into a pan. The warm condenser air evaporates it so it does have to be emptied. Best of luck folks!

      @@deankay4434i. Are you saying add some water BACK INTO the p-trap after cleaning it and reinstalling it? What if you don’t add water, is that bad? Possibility of something bad happening, or definitively happening? And then how to fix that new problem? Thank you.

    • @Statutum

      Cutting the drain pipe will allow hot hair to rise into the freezer, you do not want this. This design acts like a p-trap, a water barrier at the bottom curve to prevent outside heat from constantly going into your freezer.

    Thank you for the information. I'd like to help your video making. People want to get right to the point of repair. You can save us five minutes on this video by bypassing how sunny it is outside, pulling it out from the wall, etc. etc. etc. We're looking for quick facts only. And please, respectfully, wash your dishes next time. I would also get a long tube brush, instead of a straw, to help clean the tube out quicker, that's another five minutes saved right there. Thank you!
