Mine literally went out yesterday and luckily I was able to get off the highway before it cane crashing. I’ll be looking to do this this weekend, thanks!
The only thing I’ll add. You have to remove the tensioner, the vacuum hose to the intake and losen the AC line via the bolt on the strut tower. That gives enough slack to get the alternator out. Got it done in forty minutes.
Bro I was adding a big 3 ground wire to top alternator ground bolt, as I was breaking it loose the threads broke off in the back, before I pull the alternator (don’t have time today) will I be cool driving without that top bolt safely for a few days?
Dude how did you get the "hidden bolt" out and is it a different size than the first 2? Im struggling right now because im stuck on that right now. Literally sitting in my garage dying right now
Bro same!! I can't get that 3rd back bolt of the tensioner out for shit 😂 need a short extension, I think. And I believe it's a 12mm like the other 2. Gonna re attempt tomorrow. Let you know how it goes and if there's any trick to it
@@anthonychacon6049 hey bro did you figure this out? I was going after the wrong bolt! I eventually got it out just to realize it was the wrong one. The correct bolt is just above that one and is totally invisible unless you get just the right viewing angle and light, you can see just the corner of it, and is the same size as the rest of the main bolts you took out.
Mine just did the same check charging system. I replaced the battery the light went out after driving but did buy the alternator just in case the same issue tomorrow
haha listen, it was hard to really show anything cause it’s all on top of each other😂 but the overview i mentioned should of given enough info to make it happen, good luck!
Damn alt already broke?🤷🏼♂️ my father has a 06 Honda Pilot with 210k miles and still original alt. Also they have a 15 accord with 100k miles. I’m surprised yours took a shit lol. 🤷🏼♂️
@@AldenBuild with inflation high labor prices, you probably saved yourself $300 just in labor cost from a Honda dealership. Awesome 👏 you know how to FIX stuff!!
@@AldenBuild yeah I am one of your OG subs lol. I’ve know you are very handy and watch you fixing things. I have a 4 post car lift in my garage and I won’t even change my own oil 😝 lol. I GUESS I LIKE PAYING PEOPLE HA

Very lack of quality in this video you skip the parts we’re all the hardest bolts are

Do you have to remove the radiator? Someone said I have too. Thanks.

Mine just took a dump on me as well . Oh well . Time to replace

I just got it out!! Now just doing the bottom two bolts on the alternator and it's out 😎👍
@@anthonychacon6049 That's great, you're home free now dude, it goes back together way easier than it is to take apart.
Bro would you happen to know where you bought your new alternator?
i bought the Duralast Gold from Autozone
Thanks for the video! 🤙
What was the symptoms? I have my check charging system on
mine literally just didn’t start one day, battery and alternator were dead. had autozone check them

@@jeremyhinson315 yea and it was my alternator
The two bolts on the bottom of the alternator are a motherrr. I can’t get to them
oh yeah it’s tough, extensions and feeling around! good luck!
Bending that ac line caused me to crack it and all my Freon leaked into the atmosphere in the process of replacing my alternator
