      Thor looks... tired for some reason, or rather not amped up.
      Eddie Hall, even tho his defenses are complete crap, does look more eager to fight. Eddie wants to really knock Thor out. I think Hafthor needs this eagerness as well, if he really wants to win. A certain anger, a desire to punch Eddie's lights out, for real.

    You can try nasal strips to help expand your nostril. In addition, in terms of medication you can take Flonase to help decrease and breakup mucus if present. Vicks, also helps open the airway as well. Hope this helps. Good luck on your training. May be best man win.

    • @rageagainstmyhairline5574
      @rageagainstmyhairline5574 2 роки тому +1

      @kazemian Nasal strips are great. They stop you snoring, too. You can get them in a bunch of different colours and stuff so you can sort of use them as a facial accessory and make it your 'thing'. Like Eddie has a mohawk, Thor can wear a nasal strip.
      Mometasone furoate is another option for a nasal spray that helps clear mucus etc. You spray it up there and within 5 minutes it's like your nose gains sentience and attempts to expel all the mucus out through your nostrils - you don't even have to sneeze or blow your nose, it's already on its way out! I mean, you DO have to blow your nose after about 5 minutes because it all like congregates around your nasal cavity and every time you breathe you make snot noises.
      I know about these things because I did too much coke when I was young and ruined my nose. When it was at its worst, I had to actually hold my nostril open with my fingers in order to like sniff mucus back if I had a cold or something. Luckily I stopped before it completely collapsed, but it's crazy how much damage impure coke can do to you over the course of six months even if you only do it at weekends. So don't do it, kids.

      You can also train your facial muscles like you train other parts of your body. Some muscles expand face to the sides. And you can also stretch and relax your muscle which is responsible for your mouth going down, which not only makes you look much older but it deformates face and its practical functions. Also strengthen you nose muscles. Search for facial yoga.

    Peppermint oil is an excellent way of expanding the airways and clearing the nose. It also helps you breathe in more oxygen and increases performance especially on cardiovascular exercises. There is a company called hustle drops and I believe they would be more than happy to sponsor you as well.

I was given advice to train this specifically by doing intervals of closing my mouth and doing only nose breathing whilst on a bike or cross trainer. It makes cardio harder and helps you learn to breathe better through the nose. Hope this helps.

    Regarding nose breathing: you might want to look into orofacial myofunctional therapy, which helps with proper tongue posture and nasal breathing. (It also helps with sleep apnea.)
    Long story short, you have to train your tongue to stick to the top of the mouth with lips sealed and breathe through the nose. The nasal passages open up as you breathe through the nose more often even though it may feel stuffy at first. Always breathe through the nose at rest, and gradually incorporate it into exercise as well.

    You’re looking amazing man🍻. Inspiring me to get my diet in order. Had issues gaining weight. Was only 90lbs at 5’11” when I was 16. 110 at 21 and then 175 at 22. Now 38 and 205. Need to loose about 8-10% bf. So 15-20 lbs to get the shred🍻. Congrats on being healthy and happy and to your family too. How’s being a Dad?

    Honestly, I'd love to hear you speak candidly about any experience you have with performance enhancing drugs and general opinions you may have around that topic now that you aren't competing anymore. Personally, I think restrictions around that type of stuff are rather arbitrary and I get the impression that there is a healthy way to go about all that. And as professional athlete who was the top of their sport I think you'd have an interesting perspective regardless of whether or not you ever participated in that sort of thing.

  • @criterionx1377
    @criterionx1377 2 роки тому +11

    About breathing through the nose, I noticed that I was breathing through my mouth most of the time and since I knew it was more healthy to breath through the nose I started trying to do that. I found it was difficult, I felt like I wasn't getting enough air, and that my nasal passages were not open enough. Eventually I found a couple of methods that helped me. The first was when I learned that the feeling of needing more air wasn't from the lack of oxygen and needing to breath in more. Rather it comes from having too much co2 and needing to breath out more. I learned this from a safety training about working with nitrogen. I learned that even in an oxygen deficient environment you can pass out without feeling any pain or warning because the sensation of suffocation comes from not getting rid of co2 fast enough and that being without oxygen gives no warning to your body. So every time I was struggling to breath in more I was making the situation worse. So I focused on breathing out fully and not struggling to breath in too much. I started doing this while walking at an easy pace and little by little I improved until it felt normal to breath though my nose the whole time. The other thing I learned was from Dr. Mew who has studied mouth posturing extensively. From him I learned to lightly rest my tongue on the roof of my mouth. This helps to let the nasal passages get better air flow. So yeah, just those two things, I developed a longer exhale and a quicker exhale and, proper mouth posture as outlined by Dr. Mew.
