Arguably, a magazine is slightly smaller and easier to sneak into some fold of clothing, or a pocket, than an entire pistol. The latter would almost definitely cause a bulge in the jacket or whatever, even if concealed with a holster, and airport security are probably trained to watch for bulges like that. Still, the waiter/steward must not have been required to go through a metal detector, which may be a bit of a stretch?

Pretty much exactly what I expected. Modern Warfare was a reboot that was pretty detached from the other games up until the very end. Now they're doing a Disney and bringing EVERYONE back for remember berries.

It wasn't that detached from other games, yeah it introduced some new characters but other than it was always supposed to tied down to the mw universe and characters cause again need to peddle skins and most of the cod community lives nostalgia weed (the ending was a plothole and post credit was literally just name dropping ghost and soap). The campaign in mw19 felt more different just cause the whole thing wasn't Michael Bay movie, just a good to decent action film

That type of Michael Bay script worked in og Mw2 cause the mp was insane and over the top and so where many missions in the campaign. Mw22 on the other hand is trying to continue the story in a much more grounded setting hence the violence and timing mission was dogshit

I was really surprised at how much I’m liking it. I was playing it and thought “wow this actually feels like it was made by a person who wanted it to be fun”
Except for that fucking Tank boss battle. Idk about you but every time I went in to throw a C4 I would get laser beamed by that thing, I was getting fucking pre-fired by a goddamn tank. And if it wasn't the tank then it was the Shadow Company mercs 2 shotting me with shotguns from 200ft away. I ended up just throwing the C4 on the road and waiting for the tank to drive over it.
Really dandy, awesone and incredible flow in the campaign. Except for the tank part at the end, mate, really fuk that tank IA.
The Tank battle actually made me lower the difficulty for that section. It was that fucking annoying.

I really don't like Ghost's mask in this game. Its too freaking try hard. The one he had before was something anyone could've bought and no doubt already had before the game. This one was specially made by a supposedly grown man because he thinks its cool.
The twist is that this is actually a cod ghosts remake rather than a modern warfare 2 remake.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who sees Ghost as a fan service than an actual unique character. Fan boys went fucking ape shit over him in the original MW2 and swore up and down that he was the greatest COD character to ever live, but couldn't answer the question "What was one badass thing he did?" Couldn't get an answer. He's only cool because he had a skull mask. And they aren't even hiding the fact that they're just milking the skull mask concept for extra cash (COD Ghosts) And that whole ghost team bit was just straight embarrassment
This game did feel like fan service instead of good story writing. I had high hopes for fighting in the streets of Mexico, but it was only like 40% of the game and it felt rushed
Exactly! Soap was my favorite character in the original, and he had done a lot more even when an NPC. They end up demoting him in this and making him the young lad eager to please trying to emulate the gruff voice of everyone around him.
This game could have had a highly intriguing, cutthroat Sicario 1 angle to it, but it went the way of Sicario 2 instead.

from a storytelling perspective, the original did it right by killing Ghost off. But then they realized they fucked up cuz Ghost was a fan favorite. Now it's Ghost this and Ghost that. Really dilutes his mystery. Low stakes conspiracy, but I think the entire remake was made just to retcon Ghost's death.
I feel like the only reason people liked ghost is because he died during a memorable moment.

The cheesy dialogue, boss fight, armored enemies, a boss battle and the fucking driving level and weird weapons they gave you really distracted from what MW 2019 achieved. It didn't even feel like the same series. I was extremely dissatisfied.

The new MW is like a fanfic of itself: just this random collection of references and callbacks that make no sense, unless you're an omniscient player. These random sentences have no value of their own, not even the characters in the story

@Gaia Mason I mean...I'll be honest, I knew Shadow Company would drop the obvious betrayal, but I never thought they'd do it like that, I also never suspected that Shepherd wouldn't be a proper antagonist or that NOBODY in TF 141 or Los Vaqueros would die by the end.
All in all, really well done campaign, lots of variety and the extra bits of dialogue gave the characters a fresh coat of personality and likeableness. The story wasn't spectacular and yeah, it could've been better with only some minor changes to the events and how they unfolded, but I still had a blast and am happy I got to play it early.

To be fair, almost all of the stealth sections are optional, even the really dire ones.
