A dark story about a gang of thieves, murderers, and rapists who claimed that what they did was out of "great justice." Carrying out their mad "parade" wearing matching red shoes, darkened by the blood of their victims. When they were finally captured they were publicly executed by parading around the town wearing searing hot, iron shoes that glowed bright red. All set to a delightfully catchy Spanish tune! Damn it, I love this song!
I just came up with a realization. The crimes committed by the parade reflect most of the Seven Deadly Sins. Greed when they robbed the first guy,Gluttony when they stole the food, Lust when they violated the family, Wrath and Envy when they killed that one guy (heck they even said they were jealous). Actually I just realize that's kind of a stupid revelation
They claimed they did everything as part of their "righteous" cause. They saw themselves as better than most everyone else. That's Pride in a nutshell. Also, the fact that they committed the crimes in the first place because they couldn't be bothered to get a job/make their own food/ask someone out nicely. If that counts as Sloth, which I'm sure it does, then that means they've committed all 7 sins.
Lol in the beginning of the song I thought to myself, "What if they're not wearing red shoes, what if their feet are just covered in blood because they're a bunch of murderers?" I was way off but that would have been interesting.
Masked B1tch No actually you’re right, their shoes were turned red from all the blood of their victims but at the end they were switched to red hot iron shoes to punish them that’s why it said “different kind of shoes”
I remember reading a fairytale years ago about a girl who wanted red shoes like a princess and was jealous of the princess, instead of getting the shoes, she got black buckle shoes, the girl burned the shoes and woke up the next morning to find some red shoes at the end of her bed, she put them on and wouldn’t stop looking at them, then at church, she began to dance, she didn’t danced and danced into the woods and starved.
in the version I read the girl was impoverished and orphaned at a young age, but was kind and was later adopted by a wealthy old woman, who cleaned her up, fed and clothed her, and took her to church every Sunday. eventually, the girl forgot the cold and the hunger and became spoiled. One day she saw a pair of beautiful red shoes in an old run down store window and begged the old lady to buy them for her. the old lady said no, and the girl became determined to get those shoes for herself no matter the cost. in the dead of night, she sneaks out and steals the shoes. the next day, at church, the old woman notices the girl wearing the red shoes. the old woman immediately demands the girl to return the shoes to the store. the girl disobeys and wears the stolen shoes to church. the pastor warns the girls that if she does not repent, God will punish her, but she ignores him. one night, the girl hears of a fabulous party in town. she begs the old lady to let her go, but the old woman, fearing for the girl’s safety, says no. the girl sneaks out to join the party anyway. at the party, the girl starts to dance. the shoes feel wonderful on her feet as she prances gracefully across the dance floor, as if they have become one with her feet. the girl wants to stop and rest, but notices that no matter how hard she tried, she could not stop dancing. the shoes also start heating up rapidly, and they are soon as hot as hot coals. screaming in pain, the girl runs out of the party, still dancing unstoppably and the shoes melting into her skin. she dances off into the woods, never to be seen again.
Sly Mothy is Sly. He purposely ignored Sloth To those that don't know, it's been recently-ish revealed that the demon of Sloth, thus the Sin of Sloth, never existed in the first place. How could I have not noticed this before!?
Wait a second... With all their talk of "grand justice," and the fact that there are four of them, is this story some kind of reference to the three heroes of Lucifenia? That's... That's some dark satire there, Yukina.
@animelover3083 At the end of the original Snow White, the dwarves make the evil queen wear a pair of iron shoes that were heated over a fire until they were red hot. The queen was then forced to dance around in the red hot shoes until she fell down dead. The lines at the end of the song; "Burning the feet as hot as flames/The red shoes./Different kind of shoes", followed by the parade burning up and the line, "You said it was something called 'punishment'" was the reference, I believe.

Then again, MoTC is probably Madam Merry-go-round as her Sin's Contractor had lived in Calgaround that is located in the Merrigod Plateau. Combine Merrigo from Merrigod and round from Calgaround and we get Merry-go- round.

Allen is a part of Pride.. as Master of Heavenly Yard later stated as the "Waiter" (vessel of the Pride) said it's like she's missing her other half plus Gumi picture is shown in Heartbeat clocktower? (I'm not sure) as Wrath...
@sharkmanki I don't think ,mothy know about that. Maybe they're like, a crusade? Mothy's songs are usually set in the middle ages. The Parade would then be a Crusade. (Look at it this way: the knights thought they were killing for the sake of "Divine Justice" too.) But I have no idea how their death by fire connects.
I think this is more about these people who don't even understand what sin is. The last line of the song, "You said this was something called 'Punishment.' " reflects this. They didn't know they were doing wrong, so they didn't see any problem with theft, murder, and rape because they literally didn't know that these were bad things to do.
in the old version of snow white, her step-mother has to wear a burning par of red glass shoes as punishment... well she also died as she danced with the shoes on...
I'm not sure about this... but I read somewhere that this is what they will do *IF* the Utopia in Hell is created (Hell is where the Utopia promised to be created, as Gallerian Marlon said in Judgement of Corruption) you see... the red background and whole burned thing related to Hell
I'm guessing that this is based off of Hans Christian Anderson's story of the red shoes? A girl wore a pair of enchanted red shoes and danced until she died.
Actually, it was based on one of Yukina Freezis's fairytales. It was about a Shadow band of thieves who raped and robbed villages while wearing red shoes. In the end they were caught, and as punishment, they were made to parade around in shoes that burned their feet.
Marta Foster Yukina Freezis was a character in the Story of Evil who grows up to write about the Seven Deadly Sins stories. This story is one of her works.
I think this is one of the most disturbing (but still awesome) vocaloid song ive heard. More disturbing than Dark Woods Circus or From Cradle to Grave or any of those imo. to me it shows how everyone believes they are doing whats right, and they shouldnt be punished for it. Even if it involves murder or stealing. Every human is like this, thinking they are right. Dont deny it >:( its true! This song is also disturbing because its sounds happy, and how these people think its all perfectly right.
ok heres the Description of Red Shoe Parade Red Shoe Parade A Freesis Fairytale about a band of four who travel across the countryside with pairs of matching red shoes and iron collars. They come across people in their journey who they deem "wicked" and kill, steal, or "comfort" them in the name of divine justice. They are eventually arrested, imprisoned, and publically executed via wearing "burning" red shoes, where bystanders laugh or cry as the "Shadow Parade" dies.
@kersekatnya I hate to do this to you, but... Yes, they did. Go to 1:43, where they sing about "being sick for human warmth." They then break into a house, grab the dwellers inside, hold them near the bottom halves of their bodies while they jerk uncomfortably, then toss them aside while singing about "comforting the body and soul." Also, since this is explicitly said to be "the bad thief's" family, these were probably his wife and children. I'm so sorry.
at the end of the song and the last line, the victims of the paraders can be seen standing over them, makes me think that the "you" they're referring tobare the victims whom they have wronged. Just a theory though.
@Hennichell Basically, Luka, Miku, Rin and Len are a band of 'travellers'. They commit horrible crimes (from stealing, to rape, to murder) claiming that it's all in the name of 'grand justice' as justification. They all wear red shoes, hence the songs name. At the end, they get caught and put in prison, but are later released, wearing 'red shoes'- irons shoes that have been heated until they're red hot. This eventually kills them. Get it?
This reminded me of the real story of Snow White (The dark one, not the Disney one) where the Evil Queen change her form into a woman and went to the wedding of snow white to destroy the wedding. Then the people saw her and knew that she was the evil queen, her punishment for trying to kill Snow White with the Poisoned Apple was where the Red shoes that is burned from the furnace and dance until she Died, Sad, True & story of Snow white by Grimm brothers or some sort I guess? am I correct with the author's name?
I find it interesting that the animation for this is in the style of a puppet show. I wonder, if the members of the Red Shoe Parade are puppets, then who ultimately is the puppet master? Just a thought...
@sharkmanki I'd like to think that the meaning of this song is more universal than that. The thing about terrorism probably exemplifies the same themes that are present in this song, but I don't think it refers to that specifically.
Right. Fairy-tale punishment: 'After Snow White and the Prince reveal her true nature, she is invited to their wedding, where she is forced to wear red-hot iron shoes and "dance until she dropped down dead."'
@BibiteChanVlog They talk of being 'sick for human warmth'. I assume this means they, ahem, crave the warmth of another's body to put it one way. So they find a bunch of people to sate their desires- a family as the case is- and have their way with them whether the family like it or not. Mothy tends to imply things rather than outright say them.
4 children gone insane (moon again!) ... from what I can tell. They proclaim justice, but do not know what punishment means? *sigh* This is the sickest of all Mothy's songs. Yet, sounds the nicest. Though isn't that always the case with him?
I just realized that the actions the people in the parade did are basically SOME of the seven deadly sins 1.When they robbed the first guy (Greed) 2.They stole the second guy's food cuz they were hungry (gluttony) 3.when they graped the family (lust) 4.When they "got revenge" on someone because they were laughing and they were jealous (envy because they were jealous of the dude laughing, and wrath because the killed the dude as an act of revenge) (i have no idea how sloth or pride fits into this)
Pride = the supposed righteousness of their marching, the belief that others should admire them and they are doing the right thing. Others say Sloth is absent but I would disagree. Sloth in the Evillious series tends to represent easy solutions, not necessarily laziness in the traditional sense, but a feeling that a person wants to run away from their responsibilities or be saved from their life by someone else. In that sense, I think Sloth is the most obvious of the sins here, because these guys are basically a group of roaming bandits, stealing from and killing the innocent so they don't have to do any actual work.
3irikur The Clockworker Doll said that she wanted the members of the theater to sing this song when they march to utopia and Madam Merry Go Round is the future that Gammon saw for The Clockworker Doll. While it is more than likely symbolic I don't think there's a literal connect. But who knows.
ohhh ^ ^ tho in the song Madam Mary Go Round the Master of the Court also mentions the Shadow Parade tho Gamon Octo tells that the Master of the Court is having a wicked Utopia in Gamon Octo's vision
So... I kinda have a budding theory on this song. Who do we hear about getting reincarnated the most? Elluka (Luka), Hansel & Gretel (Rin and Len), and more recently, Eve (Miku). What if this is an analogy for their body swapping, and their "immortality" is shown via red shoes? The moon flag could reference Leventia, since that was the "country of magic" and many cultures associate the moon with magic. I dunno, just a thought.
No, I'm pretty sure the Moon was supposed to represent Beelzenia, since it was nicknamed "The Country Born of the Moon". Its army was also called the "Red Shoe army", too. The music has a Spanish theme (sorry, I don't know how to put it into words), and Beelzenia was actually based on Spain (because of all the tomato eating festivals, etc...). But yeah, I get what you mean!
Great, now I imagine them all as belzeenians. Not that I'm complaining of course, it's funny to imagine them all with red-brownish hair and eyes. Oh, and the possibilities for names! Ah yes, let's come up with fake names because because! Umm... Meet Clara, Lorenzo, Miren and Rosalina.
No it ties into Mothy's Seven Deadly Sins/Orginal Sin series., But you are right it resembles that story. Incidently, it wasn't because she didn't go to church, the point was she cared more about vanity (having red shoes) then about anything else.
@animelover3083 I think that either they would eventually collapse into whatever is burning their shoes and they would burn completely.. or they're being burned alive in a fire. It depends on how you see it, I guess.
Huh, is this story supposed to be related to the Crusades? Or the Children's Crusades, for that matter? I dunno, something just gives me the feeling that the song could be related to that. I suppose "the bad burglar" could be different religions who "stole" the holy land, and it seems like the way such a concept would be explained to a child. That'e just my strange interpretation, though~ But anyway, this is a fantastic song! So depressing, but such a catchy and upbeat tune. I love it. XD
Who else tried to compare this song with Hans Christian Anderson's "The Red Shoes?" Then I took a look at the "Iron Necklace". Then I was like LOL forget it just look at the comments they're smarter than me
maybe haku is the savior? seeing as how shes so kind to do any harm. maybe shes the one who will end up saving those of the seven sins. or maybe just a sad bystander in the trial.

@LeiseyLullaby No, don't think so. (But I can see why you would think that.) All of the songs from the Seven Sins series star one Vocaloid character at their center. This one stars a group, so that's probably not it. Besides, the rumor is that Gumi will be the star of the Wrath song. Sounds pretty awesome to me!
@lanagirl007 I think it goes like, they had to cut off her feet in order to stop her or else she would dance to her death. I believe that's how it goes because I remember something about them cutting off her feet. Xp

Yukina is now my idol.
Why do you taste butterflies, and what do they taste like?
Like silver twilight and frozen rain.
Like caramel and candy canes.
(idk lol)
:3
well this is part of Evillious Chronicles because the first song that relates to this is Madam Merry-Go-Round
Anyone else here to find the tune that The Master of The Court played before executions? (I’m talking about the Clockworker’s doll). Just me?
what the fuck yukina
I love this song!! It's so cool!!!
@Lilytooth Mothy's songs always tend to have grusome ends too.
They were forced to wear shoes that were ON FIRE until they burned to death.
I'm not sure about this... but I read somewhere that this is what they will do *IF* the Utopia in Hell is created
(Hell is where the Utopia promised to be created, as Gallerian Marlon said in Judgement of Corruption)
you see... the red background and whole burned thing related to Hell
Mothy's outdone himself yet again.
+Butterfly Taster Ah, I see. I don't know that story.
Marta Foster Yukina Freezis was a character in the Story of Evil who grows up to write about the Seven Deadly Sins stories. This story is one of her works.
@TheDarkchild1980 I think
""the iron footsteps echo across" comes on pretty strongly as well.
Mainly just know him for the Evilious Chronicles/Story of Evil/Seven Sins which I've been trying to keep track of over the past couple of months.
@animelover3083 My best guess is that since they were killers, their shoes were covered in blood.
This song is also disturbing because its sounds happy, and how these people think its all perfectly right.
ok heres the Description of Red Shoe Parade
Red Shoe Parade
A Freesis Fairytale about a band of four who travel across the countryside with pairs of matching red shoes and iron collars. They come across people in their journey who they deem "wicked" and kill, steal, or "comfort" them in the name of divine justice. They are eventually arrested, imprisoned, and publically executed via wearing "burning" red shoes, where bystanders laugh or cry as the "Shadow Parade" dies.
actually at the end they are wearing "red" hot iron shoes as punishment
@BibiteChanVlog Look at the way the bunnies move while being held by the vocaloids.
Get it?
That whistle reminded me of Zelda when the guard catches you!!
I actually thought this song was really sad...
Right. Fairy-tale punishment: 'After Snow White and the Prince reveal her true nature, she is invited to their wedding, where she is forced to wear red-hot iron shoes and "dance until she dropped down dead."'
and how is that related to madame merry go round??
@BibiteChanVlog They talk of being 'sick for human warmth'. I assume this means they, ahem, crave the warmth of another's body to put it one way. So they find a bunch of people to sate their desires- a family as the case is- and have their way with them whether the family like it or not. Mothy tends to imply things rather than outright say them.
@SquishingStars Either that or the pain is so intense that they can't take it.
4 children gone insane (moon again!) ... from what I can tell. They proclaim justice, but do not know what punishment means? *sigh* This is the sickest of all Mothy's songs. Yet, sounds the nicest. Though isn't that always the case with him?
They had one job. ONE DAMN JOB.
all i can think of is that poor poor family D:
I just realized that the actions the people in the parade did are basically SOME of the seven deadly sins
1.When they robbed the first guy (Greed)
2.They stole the second guy's food cuz they were hungry (gluttony)
3.when they graped the family (lust)
4.When they "got revenge" on someone because they were laughing and they were jealous (envy because they were jealous of the dude laughing, and wrath because the killed the dude as an act of revenge)
(i have no idea how sloth or pride fits into this)
Pride = the supposed righteousness of their marching, the belief that others should admire them and they are doing the right thing.
Uh, I was told Madam Merry-go-round had something to do with this. Am I wrong?
We don't know for sure. You can never be sure until Mothy says there is a connection.
*****
What i don't get is why is Yukina writing these at all and why should we care.... unless they do relate to real events in EC.
***** Didn't Madam Merry Go Round mention the shadow parade?
3irikur
The Clockworker Doll said that she wanted the members of the theater to sing this song when they march to utopia and Madam Merry Go Round is the future that Gammon saw for The Clockworker Doll. While it is more than likely symbolic I don't think there's a literal connect. But who knows.
***** What's got you confused?
That's just brutal
im just eatching due to it meanung one of the three theories along wth madame merry go round, and screws gears and pride.
so in the end they were burned to death?
ohhh ^ ^ tho in the song Madam Mary Go Round the Master of the Court also mentions the Shadow Parade tho Gamon Octo tells that the Master of the Court is having a wicked Utopia in Gamon Octo's vision
@Hennichell You're welcome! =D
after i read the coments,i completely died inside (then i watched the video) i couldnt beleive that.
That makes sense. These four do seem to be in the thick of things the most.
StarGirl - Vividence even tho Eve kinda hate Hansel and Gretel after they killed her
Well, I'd be pissed if they killed me too. Kinda a jerk move.
Umm...
Meet Clara, Lorenzo, Miren and Rosalina.
why do I know about those iron-heated shoes before? If I didn't know about it, I wouldn't have been scared this much
yeah, justice...
@InuyashanKag Yeah, I forgot that part. Thanks for pointing it out :)
Nine, actually, which makes it even more unsettling.
That'e just my strange interpretation, though~
But anyway, this is a fantastic song! So depressing, but such a catchy and upbeat tune. I love it. XD
Who else tried to compare this song with Hans Christian Anderson's "The Red Shoes?"
Then I took a look at the "Iron Necklace".
Then I was like LOL forget it just look at the comments they're smarter than me
I think I heard a major chord at the ending part.
Haku is in Daughter of white, which ties into Pride.
@animelover3083 if you heat the shoes while they're being worn, yeah, it wou;d kill.
maybe haku is the savior? seeing as how shes so kind to do any harm. maybe shes the one who will end up saving those of the seven sins. or maybe just a sad bystander in the trial.
@DagzingGirl It's Miku, Luka, Rin and Len singing in this song.
Vocaloid Wiki says that this may have a connection to the Evilious Chronicles. I thought Mothy declared this song one of his side stories.

This song scared the sugar out of me and almost made me cry at the end O_O
really? I figured they put red hot iron shoes on their feet and forced them to walk in them, sorta like in snow white.
"Laughing like they're broken"
So maybe they were insane or something?
How does this thing connect to Madame MerrygoRound? Is it the same Miku?
@HinataFan1111 Ah, I meant main characters of individual songs. I think Elluka is actually the only decent character in the whole series, really.
@lanagirl007 I think it goes like, they had to cut off her feet in order to stop her or else she would dance to her death. I believe that's how it goes because I remember something about them cutting off her feet. Xp
Thanks for the subs. =D
Haha, Justice is really screwed up. The concept reminds me of Death Note oddly enough.
