This was such a fun and ambitious cover and I'm really excited about it! I wanted to make a video in the same style as the original as a way to help me learn to use After Effects, so this was a huge learning experience for me and I'm really happy with it!

They describe all the people they rob as bandits like they're criminals trying to intend harm when really they're innocent people trying to live their lives, but the 4 of them feel jealous of all this so they try to inflict harm on others but they try to seem innocent by saying "Everything we do is for Justice, anyway" like they're trying to cover up the truth of their intentions of causing harm and pain to others. They rob, murder do illegal things but claim their innocence but they get caught and in the end possibly get burned, stabbed or shot, etc don't know which one...but i'm gonna say burned alive since the lyrics said "met our burning ends" I thank you

I actually included something like this a while back. In a never ending expanse of rooms, a party of adventurers wearing matching red shoes and sigils of the moon decided to one day march towards the end slowly losing their sanity and true sense of justice as they pushed further on, leaving them nothing more than depraved and soulless beings that would show no mercy to anyone or anything they came across. The party hoped to never cross paths with them

I like how until the end of the song, they portray themselves as the good guys to trick the viewers. I really like that.
I must have never payed attention to this song and it’s meaning. I’ve listened to it before but not for a while.
Because oh my word, I can’t believe I never realized what they were singing.
Me either as they are like Peter pan lost boys singing about death.
Luckily it’s only a story in canon written by a child author. Though Yukina *has* lived through some messed up things.
I've found that in a lot of covers, the harmonies are solid but because they're recorded separately, (for me) they lack that feeling you get from hearing singers harmonize in the same room, but the harmony at the end of the chorus in this cover gives me the exact feeling that a lot of covers lack just because of the medium, so I think it's really cool that even separately, you all managed to balance and harmonize that well!!!
I'm glad that the while "seeking comfort" thing wasnt too clear, cause it's the one think I dont like about the song. It's so catchy! And I dont feel comfortable jamming to that whole part...

I love the harmonies at the end? The change into almost discordant (but still really cool sounding) chords from the rest worked really well with the change in how the characters moved!! I wish I knew music terms well enough to get across what I mean but, great cover!!

From what I've gleaned, looks like the song and some of the imagery used is inspired by The Red Shoes (red shoes symbolizing sin) and The Town Musicians of Bremen (a group of animals scaring off a band of robbers, capturing the robbers' food and moving in their house). The "red shoes" at the end of song might be based off of the original ending of Snow White, where the stepmother at the end is punished to dance at Snow White's wedding in red-hot iron shoes until death.

Technically it's already a part of the evilious chronicles series as a story written by one of the characters.

Good GOD. I'm usually so mixed about English covers of songs, but you guys literally DESTROYED this song with your incredible voices. The harmonies were so tastyyyyyy, and I loved the lyrics too! They were so beautifully morbid, capturing the feeling of the original perfectly.

Can someone explain to me the story behind the red shoe parade of there is one cause I really like the song it has such an upbeat and marry toon but the lyrics are super dark so I'd like to know the whole story behind it if there is one
It’s part of the Evillous Chronicles. I don’t know the whole story, but it’s a fairy tale that one of the characters in it wrote.
It's pretty much about a group of thieves who go around stealing, but call it "adventuring". They all wear red shoes. At the end, they're arrested and given shoes made of burning, red-hot iron ("the shoes were red for a different reason"). They end up dying from the burning shoes at the end as a punishment for robbing everyone.
Is it even possible to give you the entire evillious story its... too much maybe 😂
yeay so the story is wrote by a character of the evilious chronicles universe and at the time of the song is being review by gamon in a theater, i will come back on him later, the song is all about justice and must we punish sinners as horrible as their sins, the shadow parade first rob a thief, then steal his food and finally rape his family (or the one of a different thief i dunno) then they see an other thief enjoying his life and out of jealousy they killed him, after they get caught and released in thei matching red shoes, on the road some peoples are macking fun of them or the opposite: they are crying at them; it's only to late they realise theirs shoes are not the usual and they die by their burning iron red shoes; when you think about i their punishment is very cruel, and some people laugh because they think the shadow parade deserve it and other cry because you know the punishment is cruel and fucked up; the point of the song is: if we punished sinner on the same level of their misdeeds are we not monsters too? or even worse than them? so there is it for the song.
As for Gamon as he watch the song, he found the shadow parade hypocritical for calling themselves justice, and he said he prefered to be considered a devil than pretend to be a just man (for background in the story he has some relations to justice shenanigans)
