It is so nice to see and hear amateur woman talk about flying hacks and tips. I spent Over 40 years in the travel industry, and I'm now in my 70ies. Thank you thank you thank you. Wishing you the best of luck with your videos
Very nice video. My husband always says I carry too much on with me but guess who has what he needs when he needs it. To me, it’s worth the extra to have the “just in case” items. I will include you and your family in my daily prayers.
You and I think very much like! Maybe it’s because as a mom I always felt like I had to have something for my family and I still carry stuff around. People have said stuff to me too but when they need it, I have it and they’re very thankful I do.. Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support. It truly means so much to us.!❤️🙏❤️
I just have to tell you how much I appreciate how thoughtful and thorough your advice is. Thanks to your advice, I took a fanny pack with me for the first time on a long-haul return flight. I had my comfort items in a little plastic bag, some euros for a muffin and hot water, a couple of tea bags, Nescafé, etc. I also kept my passport and travel documents and my phone in it and was so grateful all that I needed was right at hand. I kept a tiny change purse with money and cards inside my deep front pocket of my comfortable capris. Thanks so much for your advice.
I am so happy that this video gave you some great hacks to make your trip a little bit easier! Thank you so much for letting me know that feedback! I hope you had a wonderful trip!💕😊
Individualizing your needs when you travel is a lifesaver, 😅when it comes to comfort. Minimizing those needs & still MEETING them is an Art; and you’re the PRO on traveling safely, comfortably & Well!
thanks for being so considerate with the masks. I agree, they do work. it's recycled air and so easy to catch a cold etc. I didn't think of the water tabs. great idea.
I feel like I will treat people how I wanna be treated. And try to be as courteous as possible.. those water tabs are really for an emergency, but always good to have❤️😊🙏
If worried about smelling, Lume all body deoterant was a game changer for me traveling! Most essential travel product I've ever had. Will be no need to go to the bathroom and freshen your feet 🤗🤗 That and Earplanes ear plugs that are fantastic for those of us that have problems with the pressure change, ear problems, allergies, etc And loved your mask comment yessss 😁 And blessings to you and your family!
Thank you so much! I have been wondering about that Lume deodorant product. You’re the second person who has recommended it so I think I’m gonna give it a try.🙏❤️😊 truly appreciate your feedback!
I saw a tip where you put a packing cube in your jacket pocket and use that on the plane to put your jacket etc in and use it as a pillow. That way you still have your pashmina for chilly times.
That’s a great idea! Just make sure that packing cube isn’t too plasticky or scratchy and you’ll be great! I am also taking on one of these cloth shoe bags and you can stuff your jacket and stuff in that and they are soft on the outside! Thank you so much for sharing that trip with us🙏❤️😊
Those of us who have travelled to some of the more "interesting" areas of the globe know how important a good international medical/first aid kit is. If you get sick, the last thing you want is to be trying to figure out how to find what you need in a strange country where you don't speak the language and don't know what medications are legal, etc. At least have enough medication for a few days of any common traveller's ailment.
Absolutely! Also different countries they have different medication we may not be used to. I always travel with at least enough to get me through one bout of something.😊🙏
This is so right on. So many vloggers say to buy what you need there, but when you are sick in bed or worse on the toilet, you need your meds right away.
@@jaimetarne9436 absolutely! I was so happy. I had a few things with me and I didn’t have to leave the hotel to go try to find something to make me feel better and I could just rest in my room and not infect anybody else!😊
You’re travel medical bag covers it all. Thank you for sharing it with us! As a nurse can I recommend that you add Benadryl ( an antihistamine for both allergies and bad reactions to bug bites/rashes to relieve bad itching/swelling) Also called Diphenhydramine in Canada but will make you drowsy so please remember that. The second thing I highly recommend is Gravol ( again Canadian name but also called Diphenhydrinate) especially if you are nauseated and may or may not be vomiting. This will stop that but will also make you drowsy so again just keep that in mind. Actually if you are feeling that sick and your flight is going to be a long one then the side effect of feeling sleepy is a good thing to help you rest. I am not sure about other countries but both of these medications are available without a prescription. I want to thank you once again for you very fun and informative videos!
Thank you so much! The good news is my parents are now stable, so I am not taking care of them at this time and now I can do it full-time to take care of David!🙏❤️😊
We will be here waiting. Take the time necessart with no apologizes for family. You have loads of video’s that I know many of us will review again and again.
@@orapronobis2149 thank you! I feel very blessed to have you and others that are following me in this community for my channel. We truly have felt the energy and prayers and believe that they have gotten us to the point where he is almost ready to be released from the hospital.! Thank you again❤️🙏❤️
These are such great tips! I'm from New Zealand so pretty much any flight from here is a long haul - I'm definitely utilising some of these on my next trip - Thank you!
Thank you so much!❤️😊 New Zealand is on my bucket list to visit as well! I’ve heard that they have some pretty strict customs and flight rules so it’ll be interesting to see what I can take when I go there!🙏❤️
I'm really self-conscious about bringing comfort items on a plane. I always worry that other people will judge me for being high maintenance or think that I'm taking up too much space. But you know what? It's important to prioritize our own comfort and well-being, especially during a long flight.
Yes! My favorite saying is, “I’m not responsible for anyone else’s happiness.” No matter what I do I’m probably going to make somebody unhappy so at least if I do something that makes me happy. I’ll be happy and you never know someone might learn something that makes them more comfortable flying by watching you.😊🙏❤️
Really? You care what other people think? You should work on that. It’s a colossal waste of time. You’d be amazed at how seldom people pay any attention to you
I don’t care if somebody wants to judge me for being comfortable - it’s none of their business and if they are crass enough to say something about it I just give them my really disappointed Mom look. That will shut anyone up.
I bring 2 packets of HotHands Insole Foot Warmers. I put a pair in my shoes at the start of the flight and save the other packet for the return flight. The insoles get warm as soon as the foil packet is opened, and last 8-9 hours. Having warm feet helps me relax and stay comfortable. I used to freeze on international flights - not anymore!
Is a great idea! 😊❤️ having cold feet on a plane is no fun❄️😕 thank you for sharing that with us and I hope anyone out there was cold feet get some great warmth from this hack🔥❤️🙏
I’m a hospital based pediatric nurse and wear those N9605’s all the time. Even working in our Covid unit, I’ve stayed Covid free (even with traveling! ). Thank you for your consideration! You’re the best! ❤️
And the other people should wear one too. Remember the "smoking section? There could be a mask-refusal section. And not by the only bathroom! We dont want to breath their stank either.
@@agoogleuser4356 My sister and I have an inherited lung disease and wearing a mask would be like a "blow torch" to our lungs, probably killing us, according to our pulmonologist. I don't plan on sitting at the rear of the plane because you think we should wear a mask. If you are vaccinated for covid, flu or pneumonia you should be safe from us and our stench. Correct?
Flew from the US to SEA late last year and it surprised me how warm it was on the plane. I was expecting it to be cold so I wore double layers and brought a scarf with me. Ended up using the scarf only to cover my resting face. Some airlines give away disposable slippers for long haul flights. I thought that was brilliant of them. Btw, if life behind the lenses is taking its toll on you, do feel free to take a break. Your viewers will still be here to welcome you back when you return. 😊
Thank you so much for your feedback! I have a phone internationally since before the pandemic, and I wasn’t lying economy of that time. I’m I’m not sure what they give economy flyers and I guess it depends on the airline. Regarding taking a break. Thank you so much for your thoughts however, I did take a break in the fall when I had to help out my son and unfortunately, the UA-cam algorithm pulled me out and I lost everything I had gained and had to start over building my audience and viewership so one thing I’ve learned about UA-cam is you have to keep posting and you have to stay in your niche otherwise the algorithm doesn’t know what to do with you.🙁
Excellent idea because they let you bring a pillow on the plane! You could also use that cover to put in your jacket or anything else that you’re wearing! We have to be very creative these days when we fly❤️😊
So sorry that you’re going through a lot. Take a deep breath and look forward to a personal pampering break in the near future! Even though so much stressful things are going on you still managed to hold up and finish the segment; good job Do take care❤
Love all your suggestions for travel. I just returned from a day trip from Maryland to Pennsylvania for the incredible Flower Shower. Although a day trip I had a small bag with so many neat things in from hand sanitizer, fan, inhaler, folding scissors and more. I just love using your suggestions even when I am running around with getting spouse to appointments, teenager to school and return and my own personal schedule with Mass at 7:30 am and then off to fitness. So, using your tips I pack always from fruit, easy snacks and hot water for tea to broth later. Great point with the seamless bra for wear and easy care.
Thank you so much and it sounds like you are very much like me and prepared for anything! The other day when I went out to go for a little hike very close to my house and the landslide happened. It took me over an hour and a half to get rerouted and get home because the roads are closed due to flooding and mudslide, so you just never know when you’re going to get held up and it’s always better to be prepared.!❤️😊
@@mariebraudis2487 there should be links to everything in the video description😊 let me know if there’s something specific that you can’t find and I’ll get you the link😊🙏
I love that I've discovered your channel. The algorithm obviously suggested you because we've been getting ready to fly 9 hours for a trip in early April. So timely and I'm very grateful. Thank you and all the very best for your challenges x
I’m so happy you found my channel and that my videos are gonna help you with your next travel adventure! I hope you have a safe and memorable trip! 😊❤️🙏
My rule is whatever I wear on the plane (which is kinda what you recommended) I take off as soon as I get to my hotel, hang it up and never touch it again until it is time for my return trip. I put everything back on and off I go. No gadgets though. I'm not a gadgets girl.
Happy you have a system that works for you 😊 whatever I wear on the plane Hass to be useful throughout my trip and be worn 2 to 3 times. Unless it’s a raincoat, I never use it and then at least it was packed in case I needed but I also sometimes use the raincoat as a windbreaker.. and as you can see from my videos, I’m a huge gadget person🤪
Great video! I carry a little pouch with different kinds of meds with me all the time, vacation or not. Mine includes bandaids, cause one time in Vegas my shoes were rubbing my feet something awful. These were very comfy shoes that had never caused me any trouble, so I didn't think to bring any bandaids. Lesson learned: if you walk enough, ANY shoe can start rubbing and cause blisters! I'm a worrier like you and that is probably why we like to be prepared for whatever life throws at us.
So I do carry a separate first aid bag, but it’s not in my personal item carry-on but rather in my overhead luggage, or if I checked baggage. I will do a separate video on that soon.❤️🙏😊
I pack a small, square clip lock plastic container packed tight with all sorts of things I might need if I hurt myself or get sick while travelling overseas, in my checked bag. Paracetamol, ibuprofen, mouth ulcer ointment, Alka-Seltzer stomach settler, Imodium (stop poo), Coloxyl (start poo), band aids/ blister pads, hydro lite (when stomach upset), antiseptic cream (blisters, burns), cough lozenges, throat gargle, single use eye drops (dry eyes, dust), Stingose for insect bites, Menthol muscle rub. When your ill or ailing in a foreign language country, navigating a pharmacy is the last thing you want to do (if you can even find one)!
Thank you so much and I am so so happy that my little travel hack videos are helping you! Truly appreciate you giving me the feedback and encouragement to continue making these videos🙏💕😊
I would always take meclizine (travel sickness medication) for air sickness (motion sickness) that may hit from out of the blue. They come in swallowable or chewable form and can be taken by child or adult. They work within about 30 minutes and cause minimal drowsiness. So helpful!
Yeah, when they bring that outside air in it can’t get freezing and if the person sitting next to you has their vent on full, you’re going to get cold too! I’m so glad you got some great hacks for your next travel adventure!🙏❤️😊
Those zip up slippers are amazing! I usually just get those folding ballet styled slippers and keep a pair of brown black and red in my bag. They take up very little room!
I have a pair of those stretchy ballet slippers as well that I also bring but I wear those outside so I don’t wear them as slippers but they are wonderful! Great minds think alike🙏❤️😊
Watching a lot of videos again prior to my long trip. For travel/daily carry slippers, I love Fitkicks. They fold into nothing, have hard rubber outdoor soles so easily wiped with a lysol wipe, can be worn as indoor slippers, for driving, outdoors, and I have even worn them as swim/beach shoes.
I have seen the Fitkicks but I really like the little black ones I have because they fit like fitkicks with a solid bottom, but they also have a foldable pull down heels so I can just slip into them😊
Eunice 😊I’ve seen many of your vids and always appreciate the info and the links. I’ve been traveling for years and wish I knew all this in the beginning, I have pared down to a roll aboard and a backpack for years now. I really enjoy that you are a woman closer in age to myself, and having the wisdom and experience to boil it down to such perfect suggestions I wish you and your family the best. 💖🙏💖
I thought that was a great suggestion about the gator to pull up around your face, so that others won’t see your mouth open while you sleep. Brilliant.
Thank you so much, Lorna! As we get older, our travel needs change, and I’m hoping I can still travel as I age. I’m very much like you with one roll of board and either a backpack or some sort of other bag if it’s under my seat and it changes depending on where I’m going and what I’m bringing. Truly appreciate your feedback and look forward to bringing you more great videos.❤️😊
You are the only person that I've heard pronounce your name the way that you do. It sounds like Unique, and that's what you are, because you're definitely one of a kind lady! I don't know when or if I'll ever get the fly again, but I'm a gadget and bag junkie. So I love that I can watch you and say "I have that!", or "I have something similar", or "Oh that's what I can do with that bag!" I love that you also camp and pack for emergency preparedness too, because it is so important. It gives your channel a diversity that I've not seen on any others. Btw, I saw something the other day that I just remembered while watching you talk about your cashmere wrap. You can take something like a thin bangle bracelet, place your both sides of the wrap over it, then place a ponytail over it, so you can wear it without having to tie it or holding it constantly. Then if you want to make it a little less "obvious", pin a brooch on it, or use a magnet underneath so no pin holes. 😊 I hope all works out well for you and your family, and never forget to practice self-care. You can't help others when your tank is sitting on E. {{{hugs}}}
Thank you so much, Maggie! We are definitely very similar! A lot of my travel hacks good for people to travel in cars trains cruise ships are both as well, so I don’t know if you’re completely down but I hope you do get out and travel a little bit. Thank you so much for that scarf hack and I think I’m gonna take that and use it in a video to show people because I think it’s a great idea.🙏❤️ and I want to thank you so much for your thoughts on my health and David’s health. We are doing so much better and already feeling the improvements of changing our diet.😊🙏❤️
Yes! Being surrounded by family and friends along side of our faith gets us thru the darkest days. My prayers are with you. I am a new follower to you channel. Thank you.
Yes, having family and friends who support you during these times is just a blessing! I’m so happy you found my channel and I’m looking forward to having you as part of this community because it really is a community of great people who offer advice and prayers and suggestions so we’re looking forward to yours as well😊🙏❤️
Yes I’ve seen the slippers in a store in Mexico and order me some. Love that comes with a case. And fleece on the inside in Leon Guanajuato Mexico. The store name it’s called Ixchel in the Plaza de la Bolsa.
I watch a lot of travel suggestion videos when I am in between trips as a way to get me through till the next trip. LOL I have been feeling lately that they are all starting to sound/be the same. As such they have not been as enjoyable or educational. So I am so glad to have found your channel. You have A LOT of unique suggestions and tips that really make me think about ways I can improve on my own travels hacks! Can't wait to try some of them out! Thanks for all your effort!
This is just truly the best compliment I could get! I didn’t want to just be another UA-cam channel selling stuff! I wanted to bring Hacks and I wanted to show things that actually work for me and I wanted to start a community and conversation among people so we could all share some of our great ideas. I am not the only one here with ideas and if you read the comments, some people have amazing ideas of what they pack or change up and I’m sure that you as someone who travels a lot are also going to be able to give us great feedback, so definitely looking forward to that.😊❤️ I’m so happy to have you as part of his channel and looking forward to your feedback on my other videos😊🙏❤️
Regarding the earplanes ear plugs, my doctor highly recommends them if you have a cold and are flying especially if your ears are plugged. I’ve flown with congested ears and they were painful when landing. With the earplanes on, there is less of a chance for pain because the little balls in them help to regulate the air pressure so that your ears remain pain free throughout the flight. You need to put them on at the beginning of your flight before they start adjusting the air pressure. You can take them out when you reach altitude, but you need to put them back in about an hour before you land. This has helped me tremendously.
Thank you so much for this information, Liana! I know if I’m if you can travel when you’re sick or do you have to have kids to have some sort of your affection and this information would be perfect for that! Truly appreciate you sharing it with us😊🙏❤️
And again, prayers going out for you and David, every morning and evening when I spend time with the Lord, you are both present in my prayers and concerns.
Thank you so much, Jen! I have been reading all of the comments to David and we have just been taking in the energy to heal! I truly appreciate your feedback on all my videos! You are like a brand ambassador for me!🙏😊❤️
Hello Eunice. Thank you. I have just subscribed. I have flown long haul many times. I am a bad sleeper so I have a camomile tea bag, organic raw honey and melatonin tablets to help me rest and sleep. They all go my medicine pouch in my oersonal carry on bag. They have helped a great deal.
Thank you so much and welcome to my channel! It sounds like we think very much alike…. And it probably comes from a lot of long haul flights. We have both taken.!
Agree - masks work. The two times I didnt wear one on a plane were the two times I got Covid! I also bring compression socks for a long flight and a neck pillow. Nothing worse than a trying to sleep on a long haul without a neck pillow,
Because I live in a colder climate than you, I more often need to wear a thicker winter coat when I travel - a puffer jacket works best. I pack an empty larger packing cube in the top of my personal item bag, and once I'm on the plane, I fold up my jacket into a rectangle and pack it in the cube, then sit on it - a "tush cush" and also gets it out of the way (nothing worse than people who take up the whole overhead bin with their coats so other passengers can't put their carry ons there!)
That’s a great idea Jen! I sometimes take a little bag out as well, but since I’m usually caring a scarf, I just use that unless I need to cover up with the scarf in which case a bag would come in handy! 😊
I’m so glad I found your channel! This video is super helpful, especially your airplane layered outfit! This will help me a lot! My body temperature due to my age, can go from freezing to sweating! 😂. I look forward to the other parts of this series. I’m about to do an 11 hour flight. A couple of things that take up too much space for me - extra eyeglasses. I have to bring a prescription computer pair and I bring a backup pair, in the event the pair I’m wearing got broken and cannot be repaired (like the time I fell, my glasses flew off, and someone stepped on them!) and I also bring contacts. Thanks again for making your videos! I love learning from other’s experiences and ideas! Best to you and your family thru the crisis!
Thank you so much and I truly appreciate your feedback and feel your pain with the glasses! I always have the pair that I wear on the plane, which is my readers, and then I have blue light readers that I use at night, and I always keep a folding pair of readers in my purse! And I do this because my reading power is 1.75 and it’s hard to find those glasses! 😊💕
Thank you so much Diane! I’m so glad you are a part of this channel and I plan on keeping the channel up unless something happens to me! I think once we get David home from the hospital it will be some work. However, he is doing so well right now I feel very confident he’s going to make a full recovery.🙏❤️😊
Yes! I was on a trip recently, where we had a lot of turbulence in the airplane, where the flight attendants, and everyone were told to buckle up and someone behind me got sick. The good news is they were able to get in our sickness bag but there are some times where they aren’t any in the pockets and you just want to be sure you could have one closer hand.!
I love the “sometimes when I sleep my mouth MAY hang open…” that’s awesome. I wondered about that myself because my travel tip is an overactive imagination therefore I put whiskey in a mouthwash bottle. Knock it back and I don’t care if I see the airplane’s wing has chipped paint cuz then I go in overdrive thinking that also means they don’t take care of the engines! Night night=less concerns and anxiety. Haha. Thx for sharing!
I'm a pretty experienced long haul traveler and even I found a few things to add to my upcoming trip. Really informative video. Looking forward to watching the other two.
Thank you so much! I bet you have some great hacks to share with us as well! Those of us who travel long-haul always find out that there’s always a better way to make the trip comfortable!🙏❤️😊
I have watched countless travel videos, and this is absolutely the best I have ever seen for how to dress on a plane. Long-haul flights are very uncomfortable, so your tips to make it better are greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much, Theresa! I’m so happy you got some great ideas from this video❤️ I’ve done a lot of long-haul flights, some for business and some for pleasure and all I can say is being comfortable on a 16 or 18 hour flight is the most important thing! More videos coming up soon and I look forward to your feedback on my other videos😊❤️🙏
These are helpful additions to what I have learned I need with ideas to more efficiently pack. I appreciate your food natured professional presentation. 🙏🏻 for David (and you).
Thank you so much and I’m so glad you got a few hacks from this video! David is doing much better and I can’t wait to have him home from the hospital!❤️🙏❤️
Thank you so much, Wanda! The good news is, he’s doing very well, and although we have a long road ahead of us, we have each other and we will make it together🙏❤️😊
I’m so grateful for your videos! Your packing is so well thought out, especially since you are thoughtful of others (being prepared in case of TSA questions keeps the lines moving). I’ve picked up several great tips from you for when we get the chance to start traveling more! Keep up the great work!
They work well, and I only took one of the little chocolate candies for sleep, and I felt in about 15 minutes. But I’m also melatonin sensitive and it can sit with me for a while so I made sure I took it at the very beginning of my flight so I had enough time for it to wear down.😊
Edibles consumed pre flight help too! Gratefully the flight makes me super sleepy (I wanted to be a pilot before I realized this) but I’ve seen people comment on it!
Thank you! I’ve been spending a lot of time just sitting in the ICU so I thought I’d be good to use my time at edit some video. Unfortunately since I’m at the hospital I don’t have a lot of time to shoot but now that I’m breaking it up I’ll still get things to you in pieces.😊 thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers🙏❤️
Someone else mentioned Lume products. I’m a huge fan, too. Their body wipes would be perfect for a plane touch up. I cut the bar soap in half for travel.
Found your vids for the first time yesterday and subscribed. Today the vid with everyone wishing your husband quick healing popped up. Was quite distressed to learn what you went through, but so relieved to learn there is a happy ending. Wishing you both The Very Best. 🙏💚💛🧡☘
Thank you so much, Trisha! Truly appreciate the subscription and also your good wishes for my partner’s recovery. We have an amazing community here and we’re happy to have you as part of it.. you’ll see a lot of people participate in commenting and giving out hacked so we’re happy to get feedback from you as well🙏😊❤️ welcome to Theoryofsimple!
That little folding panel with some thing my parents gave me and then I just took two scarves that I got as gifts from a Chinese company and put them on there to dress them up a little bit😊
I do the same with fan at night! I used to carry a small fan but that will was too big for luggage. I 10 handfans like that or similar and give many to friends. I even carry backup popup hand fans. 😊
You and I are cut from the same cloth🤣❤️ I don’t know about you, but ever since I went through menopause it feels like I just need to be able to cool off quickly and that little pop-up Van fits in a pocket or purse so easily! And you are so right ! they make great gifts too😊🙏❤️ thank you so much for sharing with us😊
I love all of your videos! You and I pack very similarly. I can always learn something new & you have some way cooler gadgets than I do! I don’t know what’s happening in your personal life, but I will pray that everything works out in a positive way. Thank you for posting even though you are experiencing difficulties. 🙏🏼💗
Thanks some of the things you talked about I never even thought to pack. I had tummy issue one time flying from hk to Toronto.. boy that was a long flight. Think I ate something for breakfast that was off. Praying for quick recovery from surgery David
Thank you so much! I’m sorry you had a flight the stomach issues! That is just not fun at all! David is doing much better. Thank you so much for asking.!❤️
Thank you for sharing such a valuable posting….so many wonderful items to bring along. I have traveled quite often in my life but I find that now that I am older I really need and enjoy so many “little comforts”… and you have added to my list of essentials! I love your channel and appreciate your expertise!
Thank you so much! After many decades of travel and getting older, I have found what I needed when I was 30 is different than what I need when I’m 60. And just traveling with my dad recently I noticed that there are some things that he would need in his 80s that I don’t need so it’s about figuring out what works best for you.! I’m so happy you got some great hacks from this video to help you travel as well!😊🙏
I like getting the silicone bag for the ice. I usually carry a gallon size ziploc for flight attendants to put some ice in for my back but I like the idea of the thicker silicone.
You do the same thing! But then the Ziploc bags always seem to get a little leak in them. I’ve been using these silicone bags for a couple years now and I’ve never had a problem.😊🙏 I like also that they make them in different colors and sizes so I can bring a couple with me for different things🙏🙏❤️ also, then when I travel, I don’t have to be buying a bunch of plastic bags and boxes and I can just wash and reuse the silicone bags! 🙏😊❤️
@@TheoryofSimple Yes I do! And yes, they (the ziplocs) do have a tendency to leak some (which is why I brought the big one and just had them fill the bottom 3rd with ice). Another reason I like the silicone bag idea! Immagittinone!
Just the video that I needed! 👍🏼 I will be traveling internationally in a few days and have been packing so this video came at the perfect time. Your tips and ideas are the absolute BEST! Thanks for all your help. ❤
I just thought of something as you are showing us your excellent idea about removing your layers to stack and make a pillow/cushion of sorts with your wrap scarf...if the scarf/wrap/etc. isn't large enough to tie the corners closed to keep the items from falling out, bring a zippered pillow case to use. Then, after the flight, wash it. 😊
Thank you so much those are excellent ideas! My mom always used a small scarf to tie things around the corners to make a small pillow. And the great thing about bringing your own pillow case, which I usually do, is that your face against some thing that is soft, so I always bring a silk pillowcase with me.😊🙏❤️
Hello from Europe! Discovered your channel today and subscribed immediately. Being 50+ I appreciate your special tipps. 👏Thanks! 👍 Planning a USA-trip, my first long haul flight... Stay healthy and best wishes
Thank you so much, Karin! Welcome to Theory of Simple! We have a great community here and everybody gives feedback and shares their hacks so we’re looking forward to yours as well! Excited for you to come to the US and have a great travel experience! I hope some of the Hacks that I had posted help you with your packing and travel🙏😊❤️
I haven't flown on a long haul flight yet.I know when I do I'll want to sleep at some point. I love the idea of the sleep mask and gaiter while sleeping. I would feel uncomfortable trying to sleep around strangers. But wearing those I would feel like I was in my own bubble. Thank you for the tip!!
You’re very welcome! I have been on so many long-haul flights, and watched other sleep and thought is that how I look? So yes, I try to create a little bubble in my little chair and stay there as much as possible comfortably. I’m so glad these tips have helped you and hopefully he will take a long haul flight and have a beautiful adventure somewhere soon.❤️🙏😊
I know I’ll be using your suggestions. I just found a nice little crossbody bag like you suggested in your personal item video. Being short, I love the idea of sling for my feet.
@@TheoryofSimple I love the sling idea with your bag. I have a 10 hour flight coming up and I too get such a sore back always like to raise my legs while sitting. I'm pretty sure my fanny pack strap won't be long enough but I've got some nice affinity scarves I could sew together if I knew the length. and could roll up a hoodie to sit in the bottom for my feet maybe? How long do the straps need to be? Thanks so much for your advice and wonderful tips!
@@mamad6356 while everyone’s leg length is different and what they need to make it back feel better is different than the other thing you can do is take your bag out under the seat in front of you and put it on the floor and put your feet on top of that. You could have it like that for most of the flight unless someone needed to get out or when you’re takeoff and landing on it will have to be underneath the seat in front of you. I think you have a great idea on the scarf and you could make a sling just like that and make it any length you want😊❤️
Thank you, Nancy! I seem to have the time right now because I’m spending a lot of time sitting in the ICU so give me some time to edit a video. Unfortunately it doesn’t give me time to shoot a video so I will start doing that this week when he gets out of ICU.🙏😊❤️
Eunice, you have saved me HOURS of research, which I would have just NOT done. I am not fond of shopping on line, every time I look on Amazon they suggest five other similar items, this Is frustrating. Pls see other comments about slippers and fan. Btw, you were right about slippers being so easy to clean. They made my flight so comfortable. ❤
Thank you so much, Roberta! Sometimes shopping online can be more frustrating than just going to the store. But with the cost of gas these days, I’d rather have them deliver it to me.😂 I’m so glad you’re getting some great hacks, and the slippers were so good for you to travel in. Hope you made it to your destinations safely and looking forward to hearing about your trip.🙏😊❤️
Watching a new batch of travel-related videos to prepare for any future travel in 2023...your videos give so many practical tips!❤ A travel items recommendation from me for now two different trips, one via car, one via plane: 32 Degrees pants, base layers, bras and packable quilted vests and coats! Great price and quality, fast delivery and the pants (!), base layers and bras hand wash and dry fast. Not paid by them to say this...just a (5x?!?) repeat, satisfied customer! 😁✈️💯🧳🚙✨❤️☀️ Thanks, Eunice. Continued prayers and well wishes for you and David. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much, Heather! We’re all of these items by 32 Degrees? I’ve seen that brand, but I only have a few pieces. It’s hard for me to justify buying more things when I have so much already but sometimes it’s good just to compare but I truly appreciate you doing some of that legwork for me!🙏❤️😊
@@TheoryofSimple yes! They have great sales! Base Layers $5.99, for example! 😳😊❤️😁 So thin that they layer under slim pants and leggings! 😊 Also, the no show Cool socks in black...will most likely reorder white with color accents. Hand Wash and dry during travel, too! 😁
Hello community, I just purchased the pull-on slippers and the fan for my trip to Israel. One can’t see on the website, that these slippers are nice and wide in the front. I slipped my orthotics in …and they are heavenly. I have tried so many slippers and shoes on the plane but these were the best. In fact..I’m still wearing them… The fan is so strong and it has been a week, in the heat , and it’s still running, so it’s longer than the eight hours they advertise. Eunice, you were also right about the adapter in Israel- it was enough and I don’t need a converter for my devices or chargers.
Thank you so much, Roberta! ❤️ it is so great to get feedback from someone who’s actually using the products beside me😊 it sounds like you landed safely🙏😊 ❤️ I’m so glad that fan is working for you in the heat! I’m so glad you didn’t need a converter. Plus, like I said, if you needed it, you could always order it when you were there. Can’t wait to hear about your trip.🙏😊❤️
Thank you so much! I am so happy you are enjoying my Contant and getting some great hacks! Also, thank you for the well wishes! I have been reading them to David every day!🙏❤️😊
Your silicone bag idea is great! We travel quite a bit and hubby has chronic back pain. Ice is his go to for relief. This will be perfect for the plane! I ,myself, get cold and usually bring a full-sized hot water bottle to put at my feet in bed. This would be a great alternative. What size is the one you are showing in this video? Thanks!
Thank you so much, Lori! The size I’m using in the video is the snack size. I think it’s the next from the smallest size.. but you can also use a larger man if it needs to cover his back😊❤️🙏
Super happy I found your Site. Love the great content ( I've watched 2 videos) I never hear anyone talking about Hot Flashes n our Cycles an trying be comfortable. I sleep Natural as well I'm just too HOT!! Thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts... a new fan.
Thank you so much, Margaret! I’m so glad you found my channel and happy to have you as! I am not afraid to talk about what it’s like to be in menopause or anything else so you’ll find all kinds of weird things coming out of my mouth on this channel😂😊
Thank you for taking the time to create this video. I lovethe idea of the cashmere scarf and the slippers! I have added those to my list. Also on my list is an eye mask that has Bluetooth ear phones embedded in it. I have tried it out and the speakers are so flat and discreet that I really don't feel them at all.
Thank you 😊❤️ truly appreciate that you can understand how much time it takes to make one of these videos🙏❤️ I’m going to have to look for the eye mask with the ear phones built-in❤️ Thank you so much for commenting and sharing that idea with us.🙏😊❤️
I used one of those staser bags (sandwich size) with hot water when my knee was hurting at home.....never again....the slightest pressure put on the bag while it's filled with hot water makes it burst open! Hot water all over my legs and it hurt like hell. Only ice 🧊 from now on.
Oh no! I’m so sorry you had to go through that! I haven’t had that problem, but it wasn’t boiling hot water, so I’m not sure if there’s a temperature point where the seal doesn’t work well. The other thing you can do is put a hot water soaked cloth in the bag and that will also keep it warm and not have water bursting everywhere and then you can also reheat that cloth in a microwave if you were at a hotel or something and you needed to keep it warm.. thanks for sharing your experience and hopefully it’ll save someone else. The pain of going through that.!
How creative! Lstasher as a cold press. I read that these are the best silicone bags. The way to check it is to wring it. If u see any white color-it’s low quality. I have been wringing many silicone bags and containers. This is the only one that doesn’t show any white.

It is so nice to see and hear amateur woman talk about flying hacks and tips. I spent Over 40 years in the travel industry, and I'm now in my 70ies. Thank you thank you thank you. Wishing you the best of luck with your videos
Oh my gosh Sue, thank you so much! It really means a lot coming from someone who has spent their whole career in the travel industry! 🙏❤️🙏
Thank you, Yvonne!😊❤️
Thank you so much! Truly appreciate your feedback Yvonne! ❤️🙏😊
thanks for being so considerate with the masks. I agree, they do work. it's recycled air and so easy to catch a cold etc. I didn't think of the water tabs. great idea.
I feel like I will treat people how I wanna be treated. And try to be as courteous as possible.. those water tabs are really for an emergency, but always good to have❤️😊🙏
It’s not recycled air :-) but that doesn’t mean the germs got whisked out before they reached you.
If worried about smelling, Lume all body deoterant was a game changer for me traveling! Most essential travel product I've ever had. Will be no need to go to the bathroom and freshen your feet 🤗🤗
That and Earplanes ear plugs that are fantastic for those of us that have problems with the pressure change, ear problems, allergies, etc
And loved your mask comment yessss 😁
And blessings to you and your family!
Thank you so much for sharing that trip with us🙏❤️😊
All the layers reminds me of the Friends ep where Joey wears all the clothes! 🤩
Lol! Ya gotta do what you gotta do when packing carryon only 😊
Can I beeeee wearing any more clothes?
@@naomo6680 sometimes you have to be your own carry-on🤪
Those of us who have travelled to some of the more "interesting" areas of the globe know how important a good international medical/first aid kit is.
@@kristenyaworsky6973 thank you! i keep benadryl in my purse at all times so it is not in that bag😊❤️

You’d be amazed at how seldom people pay any attention to you
@@debbylou5729 everyone has their own level of comfort in public. I don’t believe castigating anyone offers any positive impact.😊
Oh great idea! I freeze too!
I agree with you, I think masks work and most of my friends in the medical community agree.
I say that all the time! If masks didn’t work, why does surgeons wear them in operating rooms?❤️🙏😊
@@katv1195 yep! There’s a reason why they were masks in the hospital and then SURGERY! 😊
Thank you so much for your thoughts however, I did take a break in the fall when I had to help out my son and unfortunately, the UA-cam algorithm pulled me out and I lost everything I had gained and had to start over building my audience and viewership so one thing I’ve learned about UA-cam is you have to keep posting and you have to stay in your niche otherwise the algorithm doesn’t know what to do with you.🙁
I bring a zip up pillow cover from a couch pillow and fill it with what I’m not wearing to use as a pillow
Even though so much stressful things are going on you still managed to hold up and finish the segment; good job

You are the most prepared person in the world! The silicone bag tip is gold!
Lol! Thank you! Some of my followers are even more prepared than me🤣😊
My rule is whatever I wear on the plane (which is kinda what you recommended) I take off as soon as I get to my hotel, hang it up and never touch it again until it is time for my return trip.
Great items! I carry a small first aid kit in my overhead or checked bag too! Always need to be prepared 😊❤️🙏
I have learned more from you than any other travel video I've ever watched!!!! Thank you for your time in making these !!!!!

Over the face wrap is an awesome idea!
I know, right? It’s the little things that can saving on a flight.!😊
I would always take meclizine (travel sickness medication) for air sickness (motion sickness) that may hit from out of the blue. They come in swallowable or chewable form and can be taken by child or adult. They work within about 30 minutes and cause minimal drowsiness. So helpful!
Yes! Especially if you have children or are prone to motion sickness! Thank you for sharing!🙏😊❤️
I love your videos. I was freezing from a flight from San Fran to DC even though I was wearing a trench coat. That will never happen again.
I like using gators as a hand muff when I want to sleep. I put my hands inside on my belly. It keeps my hands secure in front of me and nice and cozy.

You are the only person that I've heard pronounce your name the way that you do. It sounds like Unique, and that's what you are, because you're definitely one of a kind lady!
I don't know when or if I'll ever get the fly again, but I'm a gadget and bag junkie. So I love that I can watch you and say "I have that!", or "I have something similar", or "Oh that's what I can do with that bag!"
I love that you also camp and pack for emergency preparedness too, because it is so important. It gives your channel a diversity that I've not seen on any others.
Btw, I saw something the other day that I just remembered while watching you talk about your cashmere wrap.
You can take something like a thin bangle bracelet, place your both sides of the wrap over it, then place a ponytail over it, so you can wear it without having to tie it or holding it constantly. Then if you want to make it a little less "obvious", pin a brooch on it, or use a magnet underneath so no pin holes. 😊
I hope all works out well for you and your family, and never forget to practice self-care. You can't help others when your tank is sitting on E.

Thank you so much! He’s doing better every day and we’re hoping today is the last day in the ICU!❤️🙏❤️

Nothing worse than a trying to sleep on a long haul without a neck pillow,
I have never worn compression socks before but I just ordered some so I’m gonna give them a try! 💕😊
Such helpful reminders! No matter how often we travel, be vigilant. This is an excellent channel!
Thank you so much😊 I’m so glad you found my channel❤️🙏❤️
A puffer jacket that folds into itself to become a neck pillow that also easily clips onto my back pack or carry on has been a blessing.
Thank you so much for all your travel advice and videos. I am sending good thoughts and prayers for David. I hope you’ll stay with UA-cam.
Thank you so much Diane! I’m so glad you are a part of this channel and I plan on keeping the channel up unless something happens to me! I think once we get David home from the hospital it will be some work. However, he is doing so well right now I feel very confident he’s going to make a full recovery.🙏❤️😊
Good idea with the not feeling well bag!
Lol! Overdrive elixir! Whatever works!💕😊😂

This is so helpful!! Gosh - I am going to check out that chocolate flavored calm/ sleep product. I have an awful time sleeping on any kind of flight!!
I'm so sorry to hear you are having a tough time.
I'm excited for this series, you had some great items here.
Thank you! I’ve been spending a lot of time just sitting in the ICU so I thought I’d be good to use my time at edit some video. Someone else mentioned Lume products. I’m a huge fan, too. Their body wipes would be perfect for a plane touch up. I cut the bar soap in half for travel.

Immagittinone!
thank you. this is very comprehensive.
You’re very welcome! Episode two will come out this week!❤️🙏😊
What excellent suggestions! Thx for posting this video!

Just the video that I needed! 👍🏼 I will be traveling internationally in a few days and have been packing so this video came at the perfect time. Your tips and ideas are the absolute BEST! Thanks for all your help. ❤
So happy that these hacks are gonna help you! I hope you have a wonderful safe trip! 🙏❤️

I know I’ll be using your suggestions. I just found a nice little crossbody bag like you suggested in your personal item video. Being short, I love the idea of sling for my feet.
So glad this video is giving you some great travel hacks in finding some great items to make your next travel adventure easier!😊❤️

Hello community, I just purchased the pull-on slippers and the fan for my trip to Israel. One can’t see on the website, that these slippers are nice and wide in the front. I slipped my orthotics in …and they are heavenly. I have tried so many slippers and shoes on the plane but these were the best. In fact..I’m still wearing them…
The fan is so strong and it has been a week, in the heat , and it’s still running, so it’s longer than the eight hours they advertise.
Your silicone bag idea is great! We travel quite a bit and hubby has chronic back pain. Ice is his go to for relief. This will be perfect for the plane!

That is good to know! I didn’t know to test it like that so thank you for sharing that with us🙏😊❤️
