Dish cleaning tip: If you are traveling with dishes and are tight on room for liquids, get a sponge and cut into thirds or quarters. Wet the sponge and put your dish soap on it, suds it up then let it dry. Put the pieces into a zip top bag and when you want to wash a dish/bottle just wet the sponge again and you have a sudsy sponge. You can keep the pieces for another trip, too.
That is a great idea! Thank you so much for sharing that with us! 😊💕
I love that you let us know what your interruption was and LOVED that you went to help your 92 year old neighbor! How sweet! Good neighbors are such a blessing. Another great video!
Thank you! I couldn’t believe you couldn’t hear the knocking on the door in the video, but she was knocking on my door so hard! 😂 i’m happy I was able to help her. I I believe that’s what neighbors for🙏😊
@@TheoryofSimple yes because usually we only have access to hot water or electric kettle and if we are lucky they have microwave in hotel.
You re my kind of people! I think like you. I love your videos! I love having everything with me.
I have watched HUNDREDS of travel videos I have never seen anything like this. I LOVE the video ❤❤❤
Thank you so much, Brittany! The fact that you watch so many trouble videos, and consider this one of the best makes me so happy! I try to do my best to provide the best information of products you guys to make your travel adventures more comfortable! 💕😊🙏
Eunice, I appreciated how you explained why you do this, that "it is a comfort thing for me". I am the same way with certain things at home like always having a full pantry and emergency supplies. Even when I was a kid, if we had a tornado watch/warning going on, it was me--the kid--who was bringing the blankets, lanterns, snacks, etc. down to the basement making everything cozy and ready for anything. It has carried over into my adulthood. Thankfully, my family understands and they don't laugh at me. They know to just deal with my fascination with gadgets! :)
We are cut from the same cloth! I have been like this, since I was a child as well. And I don’t know why it is but I’m always wanted to make sure that everyone has everything they need.! That used to bother me when I was younger and people would say things but now it doesn’t bother me at all because I know I’m doing it out of love💕😊
I completely understand this and agree. My parents grew up as farm kids in the 30s & 40s, so full pantries & freezers were a matter of course. Daddy was an Eagle Scout and I was a Girl Scout, so 'be prepared' is pretty much my mantra.
@@lskazalski yes! I look at it like insurance. You don’t want to use it but you’re so glad you have it when you need it.💕😊
You are an absolute genius when it comes to any type of traveling. I always look forward to your videos. Your content is perfection. Thanks so much for always helping us out. 👍🏼
Wow, thank you! I’m so happy to share the learnings from my painful mistakes! My motto is if it’s good, you gotta share, if it’s bad, you got a spare!😁
I LOVE the Fossils (?SP) origamifolding dishes. SO lightweight and they actually work. Great for hiking/backpacking, hotel rooms, you name it!
Yes! And they hold up well to cutting food! 😊
What a delightful video! I am a travel neophyte so I would never have thought about cooking/drinking/eating while traveling. This helps me understand how to keep from being totally dependent upon restaurants while traveling. Thank you! PS...I would love to see a series of vids on "How to Travel"...for complete beginners. How to decide where to go, how to book a flight, how to find a hotel or air bnb, how to convert money, how to "wing it" as a solo traveler. I am hopeless when it comes to traveling well. Anything would be useful for me. 🙂
First of all thank you so much for your feedback. I’m so happy you’re getting some great hacks for my videos. I definitely think that’s a great idea to do a video for people who are new to traveling, especially nowadays, when things have changed so much.! 🙏😊
Solo traveling, start domestic, with your own country first. Then learn how to pack, what you need for different weather, and consider international travel later. Pack light.
@@cathycoryell2351 thank you! Great tips! If you can do a short trip domestically just to practice, traveling, solo in someplace that feels comfortable. Baby steps!
Ggggggggggggtgttttgggg 2:42
My first solo trip I ever took was Disney World. Now that may sound crazy as I was over 40 at the time but I had been before and I knew that I always felt safe there. Plus Disney (I don’t know about now) had shuttle service from the airport to your resort, the resorts all have some kind of place to eat and you don’t have to do the rides. You can go for nice walks sit on a bench and people watch etc…. It was a great first solo trip.
Thank you Eunice...Loved all your travel kitchen ideas! The one I think I want to add to my list of bring alongs would be the collapsible kettle with the dial on it so you can make tea, soup, eggs, noodles, and what ever... so nice.
Thank you! 🙏😊 that kettle is wonderful! Thank you so much for watching and supporting my channel! 😃
As someone who has a number food allergies. So, it can quite the hassle to find food to eat on trips. I have to pretty have to cook all my meals. This is absolute game changer! I’ll definitely get some of these for my next trip.
Right there with you Tess! All the food at the airport is full of so many things and you never know what chemicals you are eating. So happy you got some good hacks for your next trip❤️🙏😊
I love your videos and ideas. Maybe in a future video - foods you can make using your collapsible water kettle? :)
Thank you so much! Yes, I can definitely do a video on that. 😋💕
But wait! There's more! 😂 I can't tell you how much I love all your travel tips and hacks. I sure could have used you when I was schlepping a huge backpack all over Europe thirty-something years ago!
Thank you so much, Suzanne! I’m so happy he’s hacks for helping you with your travels! A lot has changed in 30 years they come out with some great things! 😊
I have a storage bin filled with items that I have delivered to my hotel room when I go to Disney. I have some of the items you mentioned, but one thing I have that I love is the Dash egg cooker. I have loved it so much that I bought one to have at home as well. You can do hard boiled, soft boiled, scrambled, and poached eggs in just minutes. There is no guess work as to how long to cook either so they always come out just like you want them to. Super easy cleanup
Wow! Thank you so much Janet for sharing that with us! I have the dash waffle maker, but I have not seen the egg cooker! Now I’m gonna have to look that up! 😊❤️ this is why I love this community because everybody’s shares their great ideas with everyone❤️❤️❤️
I also have a Dash egg cooker and I LOVE it. I make hard boiled eggs regularly and the eggs peel so easily.
@@lauravictorious4670 thanks for sharing! 😊I have a collapsible electric hot water kettle that has hard boiled egg setting and they turn out perfect and I can make soup in it too! 😊
I have a similar collection for when I traveled for work! I actually carry less but more electric gadgets. I have a coffee French press thermos (300ml). An electric 500ml/ pint kettle dual voltage (from Amazon UK), a collapsible silicone cup with a clip lid for soup (ramen), a small one with a lid for beverages. Spoons and chopsticks. This goes into my carryon bag. I also carry a bento box of things to eat on the journey if there is no inflight service.
If I have checked bags I carry an electric lunchbox, and a small bag (a toiletries bag) with knives, forks, tiny plastic cutting board, tiny whisk, tiny silicone spatula, kitchen towel, small sponge, seasoning, Swiss Army knife with can opener. I have three electric lunchboxes but I only carry one depending on the electric voltage available at the destination. These are Itaki, Hotlogic, and one I got from Korea which is a folding rice cooker. None of these get hot enough to fry things so at some point I may add a Dash mini griddle to my collection.
I really like your collapsible silicone boxes too as a lighter replacement for the hotlogic container!
Also chopstick are indispensable! I carry a few of the takeout kind as they can be used for cooking and even to mix dough!
Great minds think alike! You have a remarkable travel kitchen, very similar to mine and I’ll be putting together another video soon with some new great things that I travel with😊💕
@@TheoryofSimple thanks! Watching your videos is very affirming! 😄 it’s always better to be prepared!
Love the S2S collapsible cups with lids! (I have medium cup - which would nest in X-Large bowl with lid, small cup nests in large bowl as she displayed.) Great to throw in your purse for restaurant leftovers, in the car for small loose nuts, snacks, candy on family road trips so those big bags don’t spill. The cup nests inside cup holders. And for yogurt cups that don’t get finished you have a sealed lid!
I also like Victorinox folding serrated knife with round tip…though would need to be in checked luggage if flying.
Omventure’s ‘sustainable travel kitchen’ lists some similar & additional good ideas for long term travellers.
Ultimate fav can opener I’ve used in my home for over a decade - the tiny, mighty ‘super Kim Nogent can opener’ for those who struggle with your flat military style can opener.
Wow! Thank you for these amazing tips! I have never heard of that can opener so now I’m curious I’m gonna have to look! 😊
I found your channel recently. I like that you look for multiple use items and cover all types of travel. Keep it coming.
Thank you so much 🙏😊 so happy you found my channel!💕
Lost count of how many times I went hungry traveling. Not anymore! You are amazing!
Thank you so much! I had to learn from the school of hard knocks! So many times I traveled and didn’t have food with me and had layovers or gotten late and wished I had something with me so now I always traveled with food💕😊
The hot and cold packs are genius!! I have never thought of that. I have used zip-lock bags with snow before though.:)
I have to laugh at a Ziploc bag thing because I have done it before too! But I do remember my Ziploc bags getting a little leak in them and it was just a little messy however, I found the silicone bags to be pretty resilient🙏😊❤️
I use a lot of things from your video at work, I work 12 hours shifts in a nursing home,we’re not allowed to eat the food from the kitchen so we either bring a lunch box or go out for food so sometimes a coworker might need an item to assist them with a meal and that’s when I pull out can openers, salt n pepper, extra hand wipes and so on, it’s either in my lunch box or my locker 😂😂😂
That is awesome! I think it’s great that you are able to help others out when they are in need with your little bento box lunches❤️😊 Thank you so much for sharing that with us, and I hope my other videos provide inspiration for you.🙏❤️
"But wait there's MORE" hahaha super enjoyed this video. Thank you for taking your time to spend with us - we know you have so so much going on right now
Thanks, Nancy! I’m so happy to make these videos. It’s been a good distraction while waiting for David’s recovery!❤️😊🙏
Eunice, you are a woman after my own heart! I love to be prepared when I travel and be comfortable while also keeping the weight light. So I'm always on the lookout for cool stuff to make that possible. And you always have some new things that can help in the quest to be prepared but not weighed down. Thanks so much!
Thank you so much! Yes, there is this fine balance of wanting to travel minimally, but still be comfortable with things that you need especially when you don’t know what lies ahead and your flights and travels. I always feels better to pack a few things that could keep me really comfortable, prevent a situation of flying, which can sometimes be a hassle and turn it into something more enjoyable.!🙏😊 I’m so happy you’re getting some great information and hacks from these videos and let me know if there’s anything else you’d like me to cover. I’d be happy to get your feedback.😃
The clip for your napkin is a great idea. As mentioned-multiple uses. I pack hair clips for my hair styling needs but I’ve also used them to close the hotel curtains so no sunlight comes through in the morning. Great content and super personable moments.
Thank you so much! I always bring these little clips because I can also use them as decor for my clothing or purses to change up the look. I have a whole video that I made on that.😊🙏❤️ thank you so much for watching it and commenting❤️ and sharing your ideas😊
I thought I was the only one who traveled With these items . One thing to add is a drying mat I put in bottom of carry on to air dry my cooking items and doubles as a place mat when sitting down to eat in room.
Another great idea! Thank you for sharing💕😊
The green collapsible small bowl can also be used as a chopping board when it's upside down! The bottom plastic bottom is good for it!
Great suggestion! Thank you so much for sharing💕😊
Hi Eunice, the cup for the Fozzils snap fold is snapped incorrectly. The folds go on the inside, printed side out. Should help with leaking🙂
Lol! Thank you so much! A couple people have let me know that I was doing that wrong, so that really helped knowing that the printed side went out🙏💕😊
This is the first video of yours I’ve seen. Instant subscriber. Love that you filled us in on your kindness with your neighbor. I also love that you kept having more items to show. It was a funny but pleasant surprise each time. Thank you for being so thorough in showing the products/demonstrations. I feel confident in purchasing some of these items for my own trip. Awesome video!
Thank you so much for your kind feedback😊🙏❤️ my motto is if it’s good you gotta share if it’s bad you got a spare! And if I find something good, that works for me, I like to share it with the community because I wanna make everybody’s travel and organization experience a little bit better😊🙏❤️ We are very happy to have you as part of the theory of simple community and look forward to your feedback on my other videos.🙏❤️🙏
Me too!
Your husband is a lucky man. Thanks for the tips. May You Stay Well and Happy
Thank you so much, Gary! We are a team, and he has supported me through so much and now it’s my time to be his rock🙏😊❤️
If you have room, I have found the Itaki electric lunch box to be indespensible. You can make all kinds of stuff in it
I’m gonna have to look that one up and see if it’s something I could bring along sometime😊 Thank you so much for sharing that with us.❤️🙏
When you snap this cups and bowls the other way (so the words are on the bottom) it seals the corners better.
Lol! Some other, if you were also told me that and I feel like such a dingdong, because I just had to look at the actual bowls and realize it told me to snapped on the other way🤣😜 thanks so much and at least now I know that they do work when you use them the right way😊💕
This was worth rewatching, as I’m leaving in 3 weeks and will only have a fridge for a week! Thank you!
I’m so glad you’re able to get some great hacks from this video and get some things that will make your trip a little bit easier and hopefully less expensive! 💕😊
Another excellent video. Girl! Your channel is exploding and it’s well deserved. I found you a week ago and I think I was subscriber 11k. Now you are at 12.7!, 🎉🎉🎉 You’ve quickly become my favorite youtuber and I am now a Patreon. Congrats! - Angela

I wasn’t sure for a long time if this channel is going to make it, but it looks like there enough wonderful followers like you I’ll be able to continue making videos and growing my channel.. it is also through your feedback that helps grow this community and give me ideas for future video so please always I appreciate any feedback you can give me!🙏😊
Thanks for this excellent video.
Also loved the list in the Description showing both times and links to products.
Thank you so much! 😊🙏❤️
That was simply amazing! Some of the items I have. But to see it all together and the available options was so well done. THANK YOU!
You are so welcome!😊❤️
great tips! love the plastic cutting board tip! and the kettle. I use the immerser but I always have trouble using it because it gets so hot. I love this strainer with my own good coffee. Primula Brew Buddy Portable Pour Over, Reusable Fine Mesh Filter, Dishwasher Safe, Single Cup of Coffee or Tea at Any Strength, Ideal for Travel or Camping, 404.88 milliliters, Red
You’re so welcome and I’m glad you liked some of the tips on the video and thank you so much for sharing some of your options for travel as well😊💕
Thank you! That was amazing! I will definitely now have my coffee in the morning. I will be carrying my french press with me and my favorite Costa Rican coffee! Yah, after seeing your vid on the coffee maker you have changed my mind. Thanks again!
Thank you very much and I’m so glad you are making your own coffee on the road and staying healthy💕😊
Now that’s what you call a cup of noodles! I LOVE it😆
Lol! It could probably cook 2 packages together!
I wanted to say I have enjoyed all of your videos so much! I now have a travel kitchen with many of the items you’ve selected over the years. I can’t wait to have a long haul flight to make a travel snack bag!
Thank you so much! ❤️😊 even if I’m short flights I bring a travel snack bag! On my last flight which was supposed to be about four hours it took 36 hours. They were issues with the plane so we had a gate change and then delays and then rerouted so that way having food with me meant that when I got to the destination we were rerouted to and there’s nothing open I have something healthy to eat., I always feel like a snack bag is just a be prepared bag and if I don’t use it, I’ll just use it on my return trip😊❤️🙏
Watched this one a second time, I think it’s my favorite because I love to have meals in my hotel room. I go to a lot of conferences in hotels and the line at the grab and go breakfast/coffee place is always so long. I grabbed the sea to summit cup it super nice and good quality. Also grabbed the can openers. 😊
I agree with you and many times those breakfast items are just not healthy! Almost every hotel room has a little refrigerator that you can keep some eggs and cream and some other veggies and even some meat in to do some cooking in your room. I know that hot logic that I just did. The video on is going to be my new favorite. I’m using it to try to cook meatloaf right now.😊❤️🙏
WOW! I just discovered your channel. I've never seen such practical cooking stuff for on-the-road, and things that take up so little space! It's really quite amazing. Thank you for sharing the product links, I wouldn't even know how to search for those things...I loved the folding cutlery, the drip coffee...oh and the huge tea pot that folds to nothing...and everything that folds to nothing. I don't like wasting time in restaurants when I travel...I'd rather be out and about and this travel kitchen is wonderful. (I remember the days in Paris when there was "no picknicking" in the hotel room...I did it anyway with very clumsy tools. Thanks again. I subscribed...Suzi
Thank you! Welcome to my channel! Truly appreciate your feedback! I also like cooking when I travel. It is so expensive to eat out every meal! I’m in the process of making another cooking on the road video NOW! I have a new cooking gadget that might be a game changer! Coming soon! 💕😊
I did not know this was the video I needed!! Awesome information that never occurred to me!
Just earlier this year my husband and I spent a week in Jamaica. Having a travel kitchen would have been great for breakfast and late nights.
But the worst part, our flight back was delayed and we along with another 110 people were stuck overnight in Chi Unexpectedly. And even though we got hotel and meal vouchers, by the time we got to the room it was after 11p: hotel restaurant closed and Door Dash overwhelmed with orders. I was so HANGRY all night. I Love the Travel Kitchen idea!!!
My kids are grown, but I know this is so super useful to parents too!
Thank you! Your experience is EXACTLY why I bring a couple of items like my travel kitchen! Plus we are now on special diets and eating out is generally not healthy! THANK YOU for sharing that with us and I hope your next travel adventure is safe and memorable!😊🙏❤️
My first time watching you! All these items would be so useful in many situations. Thank you for your insights and pleasant presentation! 🌻
Thank you so much! I am so happy you are finding some useful hacks in my videos and I’m looking forward to your feedback on my other videos❤️🙏😊
You actually CAN open food cans with no can opener but it does make some noise and you need a cement sidewalk or something comparable. You just turn the can upside down on its top and rub the top of the can against the sidewalk in circles over and over until the friction slightly heats the top of the can. The glue holding the top of the can in place will loosen and you can take off the top. Just keep rubbing and testing the can lid until you get it off.
Thank you for sharing that. However, I do think I will just keep my little handy can opener.😊 at the time that I needed the canon printer. It was January in Boise, Idaho, and pure ice outside so I don’t think I would’ve been able to heat it up enough to get the lid off.😊
@@TheoryofSimple ohhhhh don't get me wrong!!!! A can opener is DEFINITELY better!!!! I was just saying it's POSSIBLE to do it without one.
@@DebiB62lol! Yeah, I thought that was a little bit of an extreme method to open a can! Thank you so much for clarifying😍
@@TheoryofSimple Nooooo...... I was just responding to your comment saying "You can't open this (the can) without this (the can opener)."
Yes it's a bit "extreme" but if you ever get caught without a can opener again, you don't have to go hungry. It works! I've tried it!! (This was when my opener was just too old and stopped working.) LoL. Say you're out in the wilderness and find you forgot the can opener (although you really wouldn't be likely to be taking too many cans out there unless maybe you could drive to your destination), then just find a flat rock (if you can) or keep a small piece of sample tile with you (like I have to set my glue gun on for arts and crafts). Use any flat surface to get the lid off. There's no need to go without food just because of lacking an opener.
(Another situation in which someone might use this is when a homeless person gets canned food from a food pantry but has no opener....... or maybe after a natural disaster (flood, hurricane, tornado, etc.) when things like openers may have been lost. It's always good to know little tricks that keep you fed. :)
@@DebiB62 thank you so much for sharing that! It’s a great piece of advice to have an emergency just in case you don’t have a can opener or like you said you’ve lost it or it’s broken! Great, “prepared for anything” information!😊🙏❤️
The Dollar and a Quarter Store sells cutting boards that are about the consistency of a hard plastic report cover as well as square silicone trivets that can double as coasters and small paring knives that have a companion locking sheath. (The knife would definitely not be TSA.) Personally, I always carry a military style (p-51) can opener. I tried an immersion heater once, but it just didn't get that hot so I abandoned it.
Yes! That cutting boards I have been there is one from the dollar store that I cut to fit in my pack. Those immersion heaters are kind of finicky.. so for the one I have is working great but I don’t use it terribly often and hopefully it’ll last😊
Eunice, love each and every video. You cover more helpful travel (and life!) hacks than anyone else on the internet! Love that you don't pretend to be perfect (not the first time you've mentioned spilling on your clothes 😉), because that's just real. I always have to watch your packing videos more than once, as you have jam packed them with ideas. I've already added some of these to my packing list and work bag, and will be getting some more. I'm going to the Grand Canyon this summer and will need to do some cooking, so this video will really help. Love that silicone kettle! Thanks, Eunice!
Thank you so much Colleen🙏😊 I’m so excited for your trip to the Grand Canyon! I went there about seven years ago, and we drove into the canyon and literally my mouth just dropped to the floor. It’s truly very beautiful and you will just sit there and stare at the Canyon for hours.. I didn’t get to do any camping down there, but I would love to hear about your adventure if you’re camping! Not sure if you watched my camping video, but there might be a couple things in there that you might want to bring as well! 💕 I also want to say I truly appreciate you watching it and your feedback and shopping to help support my channel. It truly is the world to me.🙏💕❤️
@@TheoryofSimple I’m staying with girlfriends in a lodge at the GC, and we’ll have a couple kitchenettes between us. We’re planning to most of our own food prep. We eat a clean whole food vegan diet, so doing our own prep is just easier. We’ll make it work 😉, but some portable kitchen tools will definitely help! I did see your camping video and should watch again. Thanks again for all you do!
@@colleenc5008 that sounds like a wonderful weekend and we did a similar thing last me with my girlfriends and I made a video about that too but it didn’t involve much cooking. Mostly just us acting like 16-year-old again.😂😅🤣. I hope you have a wonderful trip with your girlfriends, and I hope some of these hacks will help you create some wonderful, healthy, vegan food.😋
Eunice, you are Wonder Woman! Thank you for this valuable video!!! Brava! ❤
Aww! Thank you, Eva! 💕I’m was trying to think of fresh new ways to make travel a little bit more comfortable! 😊
You always bring new ideas and help us to make our travels more comfortable! You are a Pro!!! Loved the video traveling with your dad! Despite the odds, I think you guys had a wonderful time together!🙏🏼😘✨
@@EvaAlavez thank you! Yes! Making memories with my dad was the best gift!🙏😊
My son uses the wooden top box for school lunches. The box is small but that is where the elastic band comes in so handy to store his drink bottle securely underneath it. They are very well made and sturdy.
That’s great! I think that little wooden top lunchbox is perfect size😊
Oh, one other thing. If you're watching this video and think, oh yeah, that can opener is a great idea! - practice with it before your trip! They work great and don't break down the way fancier ones do, but there's a wee bit of a learning curve if you've never used one.
Gosh Jen, I actually had a part of the video where it showed me using the can opener and I took it out because I thought people would think it was boring! It is actually really easy to use and it does take a little dexterity, though.😊 I’ll try to include that the next time I do a video with that. Actually, you gave me a great idea and I think I’ll do a short video on it and put it up this week.🙏😊
@@TheoryofSimple You and I think it's simple because we grew up with manual can openers. Remember, some of your viewers may have never even used a hand crank one! People seem to like huge electric ones that have to be mounted on the walls. I'm sure you've seen those videos of kids of a certain generation trying to dial a rotary phone and being unable to figure out how?? I have known people who didn't have a clue how the military ones work. A short video would be a great idea!
Lol...we called those can openers a "John Wayne" in the USMC...awesome!
@@kandiblick3822 oh my gosh, I never knew that and my son is a marine! I’ll have to ask you about that later!😃
@@TheoryofSimple Semper Fi to your son! Lol...used for C-Rats (rations in a can waaaaay back in the day). Now, our young hard chargers have MRE' (meals ready to eat) in bags that tear open. I am sooooo impressed You carry a beloved "John Wayne" in your wallet! 💖
I can’t wait to watch your travel laundry video ! I love all your videos and get super excited when I learn something new from you. Thank you for taking the time to make these.
Thank you! Truly appreciate the feedback and I’m looking forward to making that laundry video and seeing what kind of strange thing I can come up with🤪
I LOVE your travel hacks videos. But one thing I want to point out is that you have used your Fozzils wrong.
The Fozzils are the lay-flat bowl/plate/cup set that snaps into shape.
I have these and I absolutely adore them. But you have snapped them up inside out. Lol.
If you put the folds on the INSIDE rather than the outside, they will not leak under any circumstances.
I have drunk water out of these many times and they never leak if you fold them up to the inside rather than the outside.
Good luck on your future travels, and keep the good videos coming!
Thank you so much for that!❤️❤️❤️ oh my gosh that is such great advice! Lol! I feel kind of like a dingbat right now, but I’m so glad you caught that and let us know❤️🙏❤️😊
@@TheoryofSimple I also have this Fozzile set, as well as several other sets. AndyRhee is correct on the proper setup.
Though, no need to feel like a dingbat. The way Fozzile manufactures them, giving the seems flex, the first time they are set up it always feels easier to set them up the way you've been doing so. Doing so the proper way always feels like you are going against its nature, and might even "break" it. Again this is just the first couple of times. After that, it should setup without issue, and the wrong way will feel wrong.
Thank you for the video and the tips.
@@Miek610 thank you so much! I didn’t realize until after I went to put it back together the right way it was actually wondering there that told you which way to do it but because of all the design on the plastic it just kind of blended in and I didn’t read it. But now that it’s folded up the right way, I can see that it looks so much better.😂🤣 Thank you so much for your feedback 😊❤️🙏
I'm with you on some of these things. I must have my own utensils and coffee cup so I always carry my collapsing cup and plastic UCO spork.
They also make a foldable plastic knife spoon and fork kit that is very compact. I love my squishy bowls for Ramen noodles 🍜 or cereal.
I also have a lovely set of stainless steel chopsticks that I take with me when I travel and for every day use. Very inexpensive on Amazon.
Your suggestions are excellent.
Thank you so much! I actually used my Saturday in the hospital! I went down to the cafeteria the hospital, and was very disappointed in the food so I decided to pack my own dinner tonight to take it in to visit my partner! I think even the hospital staff was jealous of what I brought him to eat😊
I really love your videos! There is always a nugget of new information I can use for my travels, emergency bag, etc. Cheers!
Thank you so much and I’m so happy he get a little nugget every time you watch!😊🙏
Thanks for doing this! I’ve been wanting to organise the kitchen items we pack into more of a kit and less of a mess 😅. Thanks for the inspiration! 🌺✈️ Heidi
Hi Heidi! Thank you so much!🙏 I’m so happy you found some great ideas for your travel kitchen! It’s such a fine balance between wanting to pack healthy food and also saving enough space to have a carry-on, only trip but with enough practice, I think we all can figure out a few things to bring along with us to help us eat healthy and save us a little bit of money in the end😊💕
Love your videos….they are stellar! Thank you.
Wow, thank you!🙏😊 I’m so happy you are enjoying them, and I truly appreciate your feedback!😃

I find your videos so enjoyable! Truly love when you cook while traveling..keep them coming
Thank you very much!🙏😊
Just out of curiosity, I would love to see how you organize all your travel items at home. I'm sure you have a system so you can look at the different bags and accessories and pull from them to accommodate your particular needs for each trip. I'm picturing a closet with various bins dedicated solely to your travel items.
Yes! I do have everything organized in a system and I will have to do a video on that! 💕😊
I know why you were so excited at the start because I can get that way too. You're looking over all these items that help you feel prepared for anything, and with that comes joy. I love your variety of items, and have my eye on that collapsible kettle and the small fold up towel in its case. Probably more when I rewatch, lol! TY.
Thank you 💕 yes, there is something very comforting about being prepared for about anything! 😀 . I love that cattle for US domestic travel, but I have a different one that I carry for international travel that is dual voltage and I’ll be showing that one in a video soon.!
Great variety of food prep and cooking needs for a variety of situations. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! 😊
Fantastic video!! I love all of your gadgets. Thank you for sharing all of your experiences with us!
Thank you so much!🙏😊 so Haley to share!
I used to go to a lot of conventions, and had a whole kitchen set-up that fit in a single green grocery bag, but this puts my travel kitchen to shame. XD Mine never had to fly, though, so I usually brought a small rice cooker, too. I saved so much money not having to buy food during a 4 day convention.
It’s getting so expensive to eat out anymore and you really trying to eat healthy but when you eat out you can’t control that so I do find it easier to do a little bit of my own cooking when I’m on the road❤️😊🙏
🌸 Again Perfection !! Ty ty aiming for Minimal life with everything in it with your helpful videos !!
You’re very welcome!💕 I tried to be is minimal as possible but I always find that I’m carrying things like this around! But I always just trying to be prepared because there’s too many times during my travels that I wish I had some of these things with me!
Here is another product that is flat, size of a credit card and easy to bring on the plane GOSUN Flatware Set - Wallet Sized Camping Utensils | Resuable Travel Utensils with Case | Camping Cookware Travel Silverware | Camping Utensils | Portable & Compact
Hi Veronica, I do have that set as well and I do like how it fits in a wallet however, it doesn’t have a spoon which I use a lot and the knife on that is more of just a spreader and doesn’t cut anything but it is a great option to stick in your wallet, and better than nothing! 😊🙏
These travel kitchens items and tips are AWESOME. Well done! 🎉❤ I can use many of them on my car camping journey! Thank you!
Yay! 🙏🙏 I’m so glad you found this video helpful and that you’re going to have some great hacks for your car adventure! Whenever anyone tells me something like this I always wish I could be a fly in the window and see how they use their stuff and just be a part of the journey😂 thank you so much for watching and commenting❤️🙏
Brilliant idea to cut up sponge! I also pack a colander that collapses down to wash fresh fruit.
Thank you! That’s another good idea and if you didn’t want to bring something like a collapsible colander, you could also wash them in a mesh bag and put just a tiny bit of soap with it and then the mesh also help scrub off the fruit😊🙏
Brilliant video - thank you!
Thank you so very much. I’m so glad you like this video.😊🙏❤️

Geez, was this an informative video!!! Can’t thank you enough.
Thank you so much! 😊🙏 I’m so happy you got some great hacks from this video, and I’m looking forward to making you more great videos for your next travel adventure!💕
I bought a collapsible (folding) silicone kettle. I take it when we stay in hotels where there is no coffee/tea maker.
Things are great, right! Great minds think a like😊❤️
You have such great videos and I learn a lot too. I too carry a portable kitchen, though not all the time and depending on where I’m going and how long I’m staying. I get so tired of eating out not to mention how much it’s costs. I also often take my own food for the plane - the food is generally so awful. Thank you so much!
That is awesome! Especially now, when Mr. lines are not serving any food, and many restaurants and hotels are not serving food late at night or at all. I think it’s more important than ever now that we have something that we can bring with us on the plane and in the airport also because of the delays that have been happening the last time I was laid as in Albuquerque and by the time we got to our customer service experience everything in the airport is close including the restaurant at the hotel we stayed at so thank goodness I brought bento boxes for that trip!😃
Great video. I have been stuck in a hotel room too many times with nothing to eat and all the restaurants closed.
You and me both! You do enough traveling it’s bound to happen. Thank you so much for watching and give me your feedback.🙏😊
I'm 'new' to your site. Thank you for creative ideas & suggestions. Awesome..
I agree, having cooking options for a late night arrival or ideas so one can easily fix meals w/o time n $$ to find a restaurant.
Thank you & happy travels!
Thank you and welcome to Theory of Simple! So happy to have your as part of this community! I always love having healthy options😊❤️🙏. Nonthat my oartner , David is recovering from quadruple bypass, our food options will be limited and more packing of foods will be necessary!🙏❤️😊
I just can't help but watch all your videos Eunice! They are a lot of fun. Its nice to have those comforts of home when travelling. I've noticed for years that food servers in restaurants clean dirty dishes off tables from others, and then return with your food or drink without washing hands in between. Because of this I like to use straws. I too do not like the feeling of stainless steel on a straw, however I did pick up some titanium straws on Amazon (really cool looking), and they don't seem to have the same weird sensation as stainless. It is also much lighter weight. I hope you are doing great! B
Hi Brandon! Thank you! I have had this straw for over 10 years! Maybe i need to try the titanium ones! Thanks for sharing that with us💕😀
This is a great video. Thank you for making it!!!
Thank you so much. I’m so glad you liked it.😊🙏❤️
I love how your mind works- kindred spirits! I brought an immersion heater for my only Europe trip, worked well until I accidentally took it out of my tea cup before unplugging it and letting it cool! Great suggestions and appreciate your explanations!
Thank you so much! Truly appreciate your feedback! I wish those things hadn’t automatic shut off or something. 🙏
I love this, some of the items are amazing for camping with electricity
Yes! Absolutely! Thank you so much for watching and commenting❤️🙏
3.0 - 5.0 using an enameled mug for travel would serve multi purpose, light weight, tolerate the heater, drinks, soups, etc. Can use for bathroom trips, tooth brushing and more.
Great tips! As long as you can fit it into your personal item, it would work really well! 😊
I'm almost finished watching all your videos. They are sooo helpful !!!😊
Oh my gosh! That is a lot of videos! Truly appreciate you watching and so happy these are giving you some great hacks for travel and life to keep things simple💕😊 Thank you so much for letting me know.💕
You seem to always be prepared with all these great ideas.
❤️ I try! I’ve learned a lot of pain for lessons through all my travels and I try to bring some solutions so that you guys don’t have to suffer too! 🙏😊
Good job! Thank you for the video. :)
Thank you so much and you’re very welcome🙏😊❤️
Amazing!
Thank you so much! 🙏😊
Such an extensive collection!
We travel with a tiny kettle too 🍵. How you are smarter than I am is…I could not think of a handy way to use my immersion heater. The coffee cups we usually see in hotels are paper and not tall enough…so I gave it away way back then silicone cups were not a thing. 😅. You are entertaining and thoughtful ❤
thank you so very much!🙏😊I have had many painful lessons in my travels and it sounds like you have too! It seems like since the pandemic, the hotels in efficiencies don’t have much in the way of anything for us to be efficient! So I always like to be prepared! Silicon really has changed the way we can travel these days!😃
The best ever!
Thank you so much!😊🙏
these have to be your most popular videos bc you hands down have the best packing tips!
Thank you so much! I’m so happy you are getting some great travel hacks from these videos and hope you’re going to go on a travel adventure and use them soon! 🙏😊
great tips!
Glad you think so! Thank you so much for your feedback🙏❤️😊
Great content. Love you girl!!
Thank you so much ❤️💕🙏 feeling the love❤️😊
Great video…. Several of your ideas I’m going to use for our boat. Always looking for space saving ideas. Thank you.
Thank you! I am going to do a boat video soon as well! 😊
@@TheoryofSimple Great idea to do a boat video. We have a park model trailer, like a miniature mobile home with a loft up at the lake here in Ohio. We have had it for 20 years. Now a boat. So, I have learned how to save space pretty well over the years with 3 kids but there is so many new products out now and so so easy to purchase. It’s a game changer now. I to have been stranded traveling, too so having a few things with you can make a huge difference. You don’t realize until it happens to you. My daughter was stuck 3 days in Minneapolis trying to get home to Ohio from LA in that bad storm for Christmas this year with her English Bulldog. Everything was closed. She was so thankful she listened to me on a few emergency things to pack. See, sometimes mom knows something. Thanks again. Great videos.
@@SBUTLER3 I am a buckeye girl too! O-H! A lot of people have questioned me about some of the things that I bring and I said when you travel enough things happened to you and you learn painful lessons. And in my six decades of traveling, I’ve learned to be prepared.! I’m so glad your daughter listen to you and it’s always those little things that can just take some of the pain points away! 😀
❣️you are so genious and inspiring❣️❣️🙏✨✨✨thank you🌈❤️
