I love how you still make the time to do spontaneous wacky fun creative stuff like this. I can only imagine all the open projects and deadlines and contracts you deal with, but making time for stuff like this, where you can just let out that inner kid and glue some boxes together, is the where the true spirit if being an artist comes from imo. The teal gradient painted on the base box makes the piece. Definitely brings it all together and makes it!
Here in the Netherlands, it actually is spelled “papier maché”. Nice thing, as a photographer, I see so much potential for a cool photoshoot with something like this.
I'd like to imagine the boxes when you cut them are saying "OW! NO, THAT'S NOT WHAT WE MEANT BY UNLEASHING OUR TRUE POTENTIAL!!! OW!!!! OW!!!!!! STOOOOOP!"

Living the dream of procrastination! Can't wait for more last supper videos! But this helmet thing turned out absolutely amazing aswell! I just worked on an itty bitty tiny venetian style mask for a costume and that sucker took me the whole day! Making something like this would probably take me 2 weeks and it wouldn't even look remotely as cool :D

I made Halloween masks out of cardboard this year. Idk why I didn’t think of it sooner. Currently designing a dollhouse for my 4 year old… the possibilities are endless lol
Just thinking about the wind blowing that spray paint over onto the black truck in the parking lot! LOL super sick mask yo!!!
We call it "Papmache" in German. I noticed you Glue is very runny and thin , i recomend to use thicker acrylic based Binder like PVA Glue with only small amount of water. It dry faster and you have a better shell surface and alread primed. I use this technique for my Abstract ,Mixed media Canvas projects to great 3D Elements. Newspaper or packing Paper from amazon works well, i prefer packing paper so i have no printer ink in my work.
I also shreed old amazon boxed in pieses and create artwork with on Canvas , i glue them on with hot glue and clear PVA Gesso . You should try Mixed Media Abstract Art , its so fun to use packing material and stuff thats called waste an create Landscapes and Textured make your Mind go crazy.

I love to use the carboard from the bottom Amazon's paper bags. Or using random items that typucally go to the recycling bins-fun to use. 10hundred is such a creative mind 🤗

As a trained artist, the papier mâché vs paper mache thing always got me - it's just that it's a loan word from french, and for some reason the first word got anglicised and the second word.. only did insomuch as we left off the circumflex. We similarly f'up words like chaise lounge (though for some reason it's the second word in that one that gets said as if it's normal english).
