My great grandfather painted random old objects. Saws and bricks were the common items and he did a couple murals in the places he lived. He was gonna paint a violin but died before he could. His wife gave me the violin when I was 10 and we got it fixed up. I've played that violin for almost 9 years now.
Lol this video makes it seem so easy to sell art at that price but it's hard to even sell shit for cheap when no one knows who tf you are. He's definitely inspiring to keep working so I can maybe spend $5 and make rent someday haha
I just wanna say if anyone is thinking about taking his class I highly recommend you go for it if you can! I was never a painter I just occasionally drew and I just got back into drawing during quarantine. Now I’m a painter! The class was so easy to follow and so much fun to see something I’ve never done before turn out so good. Now I paint or draw something almost everyday! Ten hun really inspired me to get back into art✨👍🏽
Can't believe it took Golden so long, but you finally live that moment as you are mentioning them for years to get some free paints!!! I am so happy for you as you deserve it for way longer than we could remember...
The tead bit about subway having to go to court about the definition of there bread was funny, because in Ireland there bread is considered as cake... Due to being so sweet tasting.
Why oh why do I as a 55 year old Black woman get so much joy from watching your videos!!?!?😂 Love your work! Love your sense of humor! And would totally by a cd of the lovely lovely songs you make up!😂😂😂 Thanks for sharing your creativity!! Hoping Michigan treats you with love and care.
Hi, I'm a " SeenCity" ( my moniker for Senior Citizen) I'm 72. I really admire your art! I have always leaned towards the abstract and outsider artists. I must say that my favorites are the Falcon plate and Snake saw. The crowning of the two pieces are an especially nice touch. Thrift stores are epic, I love them! Keep on doing you!!
Had to drop this on you.... been watching your videos for months now. Forgot how I came across the channel but it’s become a weekly thing for me and my daughter to watch what you drop and check back on some of your old videos. She asks me all the time when your new video is out and I’m constantly checking back. So here it is..... I don’t ring the bell for anyone but your channel has been something we enjoy together this channel is the only one I’m putting notifications on for. Thanks so much for your awesome content 🤙🏼🎨🎣
Bro I'm an artist from Lansing, glad to see fellow michigan artists. I take thrift store paintings and put monsters on them but I don't sell em cuz I didn't think there was a market but seeing you I may actually grab some stock and make some posts! Super inspirational my guy, thanks a bunch
Can you do a video explaining how you price your items because a lot of people when they start out they put really cheap prices on their art but they spend a lot of time on the thing that they're selling and I always get mad because they lowball their art
Most of the time, its because they dont have a big stage, thus lower prices, no matter how good is the art, if you dont have a decent platform (people dont know the artist), you cant sell it at a higher price.
yeah it has to do with demand i think, especially because people have been begging him to add more originals to his site. its probably based off how long he spends on the pieces, as well as size, and even factor in shipping costs (to ship a suitcase is much more expensive than a print, for an easy example). since newer artists dont have the following/platform, theres less demand, thus lower prices. i see what you're saying though, because sometimes there's the most stunning art but since they dont have the name behind them yet, people are less willing to pay higher prices.
The 2nd suitcase was my favourite and I'm shocked it's still available at the time I'm writing this comment!! I love that you played around with your signature :) unfortunately just a broke uni student who can't shell out $600 on original art as much as I would love to t.t
I love the Art just not the scratched up suitcase. would have been better if he had painted the red clean so it looks like new. and maybe used some sandpaper to clean the metal. 1$ suitcase that is i bad shape for 600$ with art hmm. but what matters is who want to pay the price for it.
The falcon plate is my favorite because it suits my aesthetic the most, but the saw turned out absolutely gorgeous! I adore these thrift flip videos from you! They’re so satisfying and makes me feel like anything is a potential canvas, so inspiring
I love when you do videos likes these; helps me justify all the wierd stuff I hoard to make art on lol. Also BIG shout out to the monthly class; I took it during the last session and wouldn't have felt comfortable enough to try acrylic paint again so soon if I didn't! Now I'm getting commisions for murals and all kinds of stuff again.
This was a great idea. After watching this vid I actually went to GoodWill and found a similar "vintage metal plate" and painted a picture on it. I usually don't draw characters; I just make abstract paintings but this opened me up a little more to something different by your inspiration. Thanks for the ideas!! The picture is like a huge lemon taking over a city or something. lol I'll sell it regardless.
those suitcases were SICK!!! i always love red contrasted with black and white. but fr that repeating logo is so cool, would love a tshirt with that design on it.
This was dope, really like the tenhun tag repeated thatd be cool as like a background for a character or animal, really like your style, will you be doing another run of your book, missed the chance last time to get it
I have to admit, your thrift store excursions are my favorite videos!! I got inspired by your first thrift store video and went and got some bowling pins and have been selling them with my paintings on them. They are super popular around here. I treated them sortof like your Can Man art, except I like to paint animals on them. I posted a few of them in your discord server a while back. Now I have repeat customers coming to me for Christmas gifts every year! So thanks so much for your inspiration and I hope you make more thrift store videos. They are super fun and they make you $$$! Maybe you could have thrift store mini-sodes and put them in a playlist or something. Much love.
Seriously, probably the most well organized and well kept Goodwill I've ever seen. Also, Goodwill "BOUTIQUE"? Fancy. Always love the content Ten Hundo, been on your shirt sub since you started it, and it's freggin awesome. Thanks for puttin' all this love back out here into our crazy society! Dave Chappelle reference "Your too close mon."
Dude. This is super inspiring. I never would have thought of going thrift shopping to create new art. You probably don’t need me to tell you but you’re super talented. Really diggin this vid.
Those suitcases turned out great...and the saw... ALL the "Junk" art was very cool! I am so happy for you that during these strange times you have a great fan base that continues to buy your art. Cheers!
Loved the Falcon plate!!!! Checked your website before finishing the video to see if it was for purchase and it was already sold! One man's junk is literally another man's treasure. Would love if you would do another run of you book, I would purchase that in a heartbeat!!!
You're that kind of soul that makes me feel so glad to share the same time in this planet. I wish more dope artists learn and develop your documentation skills. Big up from the tropical Costa Rica 🌿
Your art inspired me. I love art but I don’t want to go to college for it but seeing your success really motivates me to continue to improve through videos on UA-cam and practice
Ten Hun P-Trillion over here giving us tunes, art, and just a good vibe to coast through the day on. I love that you left the green background on the Falcon Plate and that saw is fire!
By far, one of the best concepts, edits, music and art work I’ve seen this year on yt. In all sincerity if I could nominate not just your channel, but this video for voty! Huge fan and new sub. Love your style and energy!
I'm sure that you're told this often, but you are so insanely talented! Not just with your art either. Not only do you come up with fun video ideas, but you also edit them brilliantly. Producing your own music, the art, the content as a whole, everything is on point! Even if someone doesn't vibe with your art style, they have to respect the talent and the hustle! Keep up the amazing work! Oh, and paint me a bong! lol
I'm so happy you got a care package from golden!!! I'm just a viewer but I always try to reach out to people that you use or I think you would like to see if they'll reach out to you! Golden actually wrote back the other day about one of your videos so I'm happy they're watching you! :)
Please make a tee or sweatshirt of the repeated 10 Hun tag with different colors...would be SO DOPE! Great video as always thank you for the art and good vibes ❤❤❤
De white jars with golden bits on them are from 1900-1940, display jars for apothecary. They can sell for 50-100 bucks each. A larger set with more them obviously sell better. Cool jars anyhow!
Aw yiss! Everytime there's a new video I get so inspired and draw for a couple of hours. Then I get fed up with my lack of ability to reinvent my style or learn something new. But then there is a new video and I start all over again. Tldr: damn you good! I love watching your process.
Love the work so much man. You are fast becoming one of my favorite content creators, and you have definitely inspired me to try and grow my art business. So big thanks for that and for the great resources of printivity and point distribution, already started using both 😁
I honestly thought about doing this but with resin pours on furniture and selling them on Etsy. I really like the idea of reusing/repurposing something old and forgotten into something new and beautiful. At the same time recycling something that probably would have just ended up in a landfill somewhere. Definitely just need to carve out a work space for myself and I'm set. Sick outcome dude.
I love all of these pieces. Your work is so vibrant and fun. I especially like how the saw came out. Your style and imagination are so different than anything I've ever seen. I really enjoy watching your videos.
Amazes me why ppl will put so much effort to TRY to bring down great talent... Very happy you were able to shut down some comments. Great work as always. 👍🏽🇹🇹

These are so awesome!! It’s so cool how creative you can get with with just thrift store items. I would definitely like to see more videos like this. They’re so fun to watch.

So....They all came out great...The saw was my favorite piece you did..its about time Golden recognized ya boy TenHun!
Well, he may only have spent about $5 on the thrift store items, but factor in the value of his time (days) and talent, plus the art supplies, and he "spent" a lot more than $5, but still ended up with a nice profit. My favorite was the saw. A snake was the perfect creature for the length of that saw. Always love his colors. Great idea for a project and a video.
Love your work bud. That plate is wild! We have peregrine falcons where I love on Price Edward Island and love seeing your art with those dope natural backdrops. Congrats on the new house, congrats on your sound design getting better and better, and thanks for making such sick videos. Love your art and music and attitude.
Epic video! I loved all the pieces and rushed straight to your website to see they’d all sold out! 😩 So pleased for you though! I just love your artistic style, I’ll just have to make do with repping your T-shirt’s until I can get my hands on an original piece 🙌🏼 Keep up the great work bro!
This was awesome! The art was awesome! I am going ro have to try this. I really need to push more on my art. You're so inspiring... I just want to get at my art when I get moved into my new house soon.
Have you seen the PlayStation 5 tear down video? It’d be awesome to watch you paint those white side panels to give it some flavour! Heck, you could make a video painting both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. That video would be dope!

Good idea!!
He's done it in older videos
In some of his oldest videos you can see chubby tenhun doing exactly that
