So many beautiful lessons in this story. Which all came about because of one idea. From a young fan who chose to believe in himself. To take a chance. A leap of faith. "for a 17-year-old" Really? As a visual artist with two fine art degrees, and years of experience. That is just an amazing statue. That would be an amazing statue for any adult to make too. Which makes it even a little more amazing being that he is seventeen. When you serve someone a compliment with a qualifier like that is interpreted as a backhanded insult. It really isn't genuinely nice. I was a young prodigy artist as a kid and these types of compliments were like adults taking jabs at me to keep my ego in check. Why not just admit that the statue is an amazing statue and leave the qualifier out. Your qualifier, "for a seventeen-year-old", really says it is sub-par and not particularly good. Maybe when you are an adult you can do better. I honestly as an artist don't see where art school would benefit him. The kid is smashing it! Maybe that isn't what you meant, but that is how compliments with qualifiers come off. It is like saying, wow, you're pretty for someone as OLD as you are!" I *love it* that you talked with Martina- she is the bomb!! And this is such a great project! It looks so great! And the shoes. And "Make with Miles" is a definite subscribe.
I think it's so great that you collab with a small creater like this 😃 As someone who is painting miniatures myself I can tell you why your washes don't work as intended: washes are meant to give shallow textures (like on mini sculptures) some depth. Since this sculpture is pretty smooth, this does not work as good. But it also is big enough, so you can get similar results with layering. Awesome work 👍
this is why youtube is great!!!! im a woodworker just subcribe too miles and this collabs is just WOW!!!! thx too both of you for this great watching ....
hearing you talk about your 3D painting experience gave me an IDEA : how about trying your hands/brush to a bit of miniature painting ? It'd be really interesting and fun to see what you'd come up with, painting a Space Marin or even your own custom mini from HeroForge, for exemple, with your colors... Maybe give that a try ?
I wasn't sure about the eyes at first, until you changed them, and brought it to life. I watched both videos, and this was a cool and interesting collab.
As a sculptor myself. Miles is a fabulous brilliant sculptor & woodworker. It’s crazy hearing Peter talk about struggling to paint 3D, I feel the exact same painting 2D art. Absolutely amazing paint job on the sculpture, excellent attention to detail ❤
This is he good side of social media and UA-cam and the he community of creatives - this video gave the warm and fuzzies for sure Especially that you got him the shoes , that was a really lovely touch . Just wow amazing sculpting by a young talent I shall now follow but also amazing painting by your self as always - thanks for being his inspiration and many others - just brilliant x
This is part of the reason I follow you, Peter. (Aside from your awesome art and killer content, of course.) Content creators are called influencers but so many people don’t really think about the responsibility or the weight of that word: influencer. This is the second (to my knowledge) small UA-camr you’re collaborating with, plus the rules on sub count for season 2 of the biggest art collab… so many creators over a certain amount of subs, even just a fraction of your sub count, would NEVER. You give back to the community that supports you in REAL ways, ways that impact and encourage artists. And I hope it encourages more UA-camrs to walk in the same path and use those powers of influence for good.
I've been subbed to Miles for a while, I knew he was young but I didn't know he was still in high school, damn. His work is awesome, and you did justice to his sculpture :)

He creat more art then woodwork. Both of you'll I pray you reach 1mil subbies plus soon. Good luck to both of you'll
I started to cry when I saw the J's Ten100 got for Miles...(anyone else????) soooo freakin' NICE!!!!!
I love your content, but this was one of my favorite videos ever, between the amazing collaboration with such an awesome, talented *young* youtuber, and the hilarious Nick content, the whole thing was just--chef's kiss!
Excellent job all around, everyone did great. I want to see more vlogs from Nick!
That turned out so great and also very kind of you! Love supporting those who support others! Stay Awesome :)
So sweet to throw the Jordans in aswell, what aa lovely man Mr ten hun is, the humblest 🙌
WOW! So cool! The whole process, how you ended up working with him and giving shout outs. And the result! Daaaammnn
Love Nick’s Bobby impression. When going for the drama aim for the best.😂
I 1000% subscribed to Miles’ channel as soon as I spotted that guitar. And then it just got even better from there. Whaaaat
Cool colab and this kid is definitely talented and amazing he still in high school.
You guys both absolutely crushed this!! This looks amazing!!
Seeing that many people that i watch individually collaborating in this project is SO AWESOME!!! I saw that Bobby Duke interference there. Hehe.
I *love it* that you talked with Martina- she is the bomb!! And this is such a great project! It looks so great! And the shoes. And "Make with Miles" is a definite subscribe.
You choose the right talent to collaborate with! He's insanely talented!!!
I think it's so great that you collab with a small creater like this 😃
As someone who is painting miniatures myself I can tell you why your washes don't work as intended: washes are meant to give shallow textures (like on mini sculptures) some depth. Since this sculpture is pretty smooth, this does not work as good. But it also is big enough, so you can get similar results with layering.
Awesome work 👍
I love how you always try to do your best no matter what you do
IMMEDITELY headed over to Miles' channel and subscribed - he did an amazing job...and so did you!! FANTASTIC!
this is why youtube is great!!!! im a woodworker just subcribe too miles and this collabs is just WOW!!!! thx too both of you for this great watching ....
Awesome story. You made that kid's year. Good man.
hearing you talk about your 3D painting experience gave me an IDEA : how about trying your hands/brush to a bit of miniature painting ? It'd be really interesting and fun to see what you'd come up with, painting a Space Marin or even your own custom mini from HeroForge, for exemple, with your colors... Maybe give that a try ?
I wasn't sure about the eyes at first, until you changed them, and brought it to life. I watched both videos, and this was a cool and interesting collab.
bruh this unexpected crossover is crazy stuff! 🤯
I love when makers and creators I follow online end up collaborating.
This is the first ten hundred video I’ve watched. I’m here from the MWM channel!
You mentioned how many tiny spaces to get into. I'm over here imagining how he made this out of wood. I would imagine wood tools are hard to use
This is so wholesome... my heart is happy
This is he good side of social media and UA-cam and the he community of creatives - this video gave the warm and fuzzies for sure
Especially that you got him the shoes , that was a really lovely touch .
Aw man getting the Jordan's for him was so kind
Never heard of Ten Hundred, I watch Miles. UA-cam recommended this video. Glad this colab happened. So cool!!
