I test drove a black 2016 Honda Civic Touring today and I must say I loved it! I wasn't a huge fan of the 9th generation because it was bland and not exciting to drive at all in my opinion. The only model from the 9th generation that I liked was the Si, but as a daily commuter car I wouldn't go for it due to the manual transmission even though I do know how to drive one. The main reason I would purchase a an Si would be the engine, but honestly with the 10 generation and the 1.5 liter turbo it has enough pep and no turbo lag to satisfy me and I am coming from a V8 Lincoln LS. I have been cross-shopping this between other cars and the Civic is still at the top of my list for the features and its price point. I tried the Apple Car Play with my iPhone and it worked perfectly and all the safety features work very well. This car is an all around good car and since I have been contemplating about it and will be purchasing within the next two months the Civic Touring will be my purchase.
After owning 2 Civics, a 2004 and 2010, and now a 2013 CRV, my experience is that Honda is the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. Every car has some things you do not like if you had to get picky, but overall I have had far less trips back to the dealer/mechanic or none at all. CRV..so far not a prob....2004 Civic, only a gas cap release cable replacement(traded it in with 285,000kms on it) the entire time I had it....2010 Civic(94,000kms on it when I traded) and no mechanical probs at all. Good review/video.
Just bought this baby. I got a black on black, originally I wanted the modern know black but I gotten a great discount for it.the car came tinted already just need the visor tint on.
Test drove this the day they arrived at the dealer. I personally liked the styling even more in person. The Honda logo is the only "Honda" looking thing about it. Felt like I was driving a luxury class car. CVT transmission was very good, barely noticed it wasn't an automatic. Car enthusiasts will obviously dislike it however. Not a lot of road noise. Apple Car Play! Standard rearview camera. Blind side camera is very crisp and bright, even at night. Did I mention a ton of leg room in the back, as well as a lot of trunk space. Turns on a dime. Also, this car is ridiculously quite, I started the engine and had to step out of the car to check and see if it was on. Very smith suspension, was going 50 felt like 30.
Great insight! I appreciate you taking the time to review your thoughts on this redesign. You're right about the quietness. Really speaks to the quality of this car for sure! I'll be sure to point that out in future videos!
Thanks so much for the in-depth look at the all-new 2016 Civic Sedan Touring, Edward. Your camera work and commentary is excellent. As the Civic moves more upmarket in terms of tech and refinement, I'd love to hear (no pun intended) about the sound deadening of the cabin and your road noise impression vs the 2015 Civic and the 2016 Accord. Thanks!
This is an awesome review Edward! As a fellow Honda Internet Sales Consultant myself, this video is great since I have no been able to see the new Civic in person yet. I work offsite during the quarter and on site during my breaks from school so hopefully I will get to see it early December. I'm still debating between the 2016 Accord Sport and the 2016 Civic haha
Today I had the opportunity to sit in this puppy at the SF auto show. Yes, it's just as dreamy in person as it in Edward's beautifully produced review. I'm 6'1" and sat with extreme comfort. Everything is just perfect, with the possible exception of the cup holder. I'm actually not sure why I could only find one and it was buried in the armrest like a religious scroll near a Dead Sea. Thanks for the spreadsheet showing trim levels! It is of help. Update: after watching this video again I noticed the sliding cup holder. That was just apparently missing from the car I sat in.
I drive a 2014 BMW 428i currently (I got it at the end of 2013) and my lease is up this fall. I'm looking at lowering my payments. The 2016 civic touring is on my short list along with the VW golf. I definitely like the interior of the civic (I haven't seen it in person yet). I'm 6'3" 230lbs some of my friends think a civic will be too small for me. I see on the specs the car has grown for 2016. Thank you for this video I'm learning a lot. I like the black exterior with ivory/black 2 tone interior in photos.
Me and the wifey got a pearl white EX-L we love it...the differences I notice from the touring is the chrome handles and the auto passenger seat but other than that pretty much the same with all the other features
+Your Honda Man (Edward) Hi Ed on youtube channel "Motormouth Canada" at the 4:04 of his video he says the 2016 Civic Touring has wireless phone charging. Is this feature available on American Touring models?
My coworker purchased the basic LX and that alone was amazing for considering that is basic. Just seeing it in videos and pictures it has nothing on actually driving and handling it I'm just amazed once again with Honda.
I'd be interested to hear about a comparison of the Touring's audio system compared to the non-Tourings. It's unfortunate that the highest trim is the only way to get that 450w system!
I'm going to be buying a new Civic on Monday. Is it really worthwhile to get the Touring, above the EX with Honda Sensing? I'm leaning toward the latter but am curious to hear what folks think. Thanks.
It would be nice to see a 2016 civic .... With added factory accessories ... And tinted windows ... I'm just curious to see a better enhancement of the new civic... In other videos you mention that this honda dealership adds a few perks to there cars ... Splash guards ... Tint Windows... Cool video 👍
Love the review Edward! But my biggest problem is the fact that both sedan and the coupe, is that honda has removed the paddle shifters so there is really no point in the sport mode and is the Low mode even needed I mean that is lame that honda put back the Low which does nothing when I test drove both the new 10th gen civic sedan and the mid-cycle refreshed Honda Accord sedan
Hey Edward, great job with the Honda Civic review! I moved to Toronto, Canada recently and was finding it difficult to identify the right car for my needs. Your review definitely swayed it in favour of Honda :) I was wondering if you could help me make a choice between the Accord and the Civic....Would you recommend a Honda Accord Sport with Honda Sensing or Honda Civic Touring.... It would be mostly city driving and occasional long distance trips.... once a month to Montreal, once a quarter to NY and maybe once a year to Florida with my wife and two girls... Would it be a good idea to add a side skirting to Honda Civic touring... Look forward to your inputs Best wishes
Aggressive styling, near sports car performance and handling, standard options that are best in class, very roomy interior and a giant trunk! The EX-T and above trims are where it’s at. This 10th Gen Civic is by far, the best ever produced. Great job by Honda for answering the critical drubbing they got from their awful 9th gen offering.
I know you are a sales person but it is not hard to make the Civic better. The last Gen flopped and fell way behind competition. Yes it was reliable and fuel efficient but this looks to be much, much better than last gen.
+Edward Tomilloso (Your Honda Man) also I have a question.... my mom and dad have a 2014 honda accord sport and they want to lease a car to save money since they get cars almost every 3 years and this time they don't no to go with the 2016 honda civic or 2016 honda accord sport. Can you help
+rig48 I HAVE HATED BLACK CARS MY WHOLE LIFE BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS SHOW DUST DIRT AND FOR THE FIRST TIME I BOUGHT A BLACK 2016 CIVIC BECAUSE THIS CAR IN BLACK WAS LIKE THE BEST COLOR EVER!!!
Drive the pants off it. !!! At least take it for a drive . Demonstrate the adaptive cruise control and the lane thingy and the navi . Thats what I would like to see.
I love the new 2016 Honda Civic Touring & I love this video. Great job Edward Thanks for the shout-out at 13:32

Am a happy proud owner of a 2016 Honda Civic touring and it’s the best bang for your money; I love driving it everyday ❤️

Awesome car I'm thinking of buying

That's a good idea. I know there's iPhone apps that measure decibels

Great video my friend. I love this new Civic. It is finally aggressive in the styling and the Civic has always been a great car...
Thank you

Love the restyle. I hoping my wife might trade in her car for this. Of course I like your video Edward, it is very detailed with plenty information.
+thomas4776 Thanks Thomas!
+Your Honda Man (Edward) Hi Ed on youtube channel "Motormouth Canada" at the 4:04 of his video he says the 2016 Civic Touring has wireless phone charging. Is this feature available on American Touring models?
My wife wants one. She test drove one & fell in love with it.

I checked the specs on the 2016 Civic on the Honda website, and the LX model has rear disc brakes as well! :)
Lol I'm so stuck on showing the 9th gen
I'm thinking of buying one of these soon.
saw your video
went out and bought one today
you're awesome !!!!!
I like the new civic but can u show us how to lane keep assist in Hight way and the speed limit of lane keep assist and active cross control plz
love to see you are driving manual version and review of manual transmission.
Nice review... Just FYI the rear brakes on all trims on the 2016 Civic are discs now
I can't wait for your SI review
Nice review, Thank you for this video!!!

I must say this 2016 Civic looks better than most of the luxury vehicles
Great vid! Would like to see the light output of the LED from the Touring Model, and possibly the lower models with the projector lens!
I want too see the hatch and si already can't wait to see what that will look like
Love your review man.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Looks better than the Accord.
Good idea with night time driving, could you do a driving test in how the turbos work. It would be cool to hear that nice boost sound
Been waiting on your review! LOL
+Reginald Gist Thanks! More to come!
Lol me too
+Edward Tomilloso (Your Honda Man) lol me 3!!!!
Touring trim has 17 inch alloy wheels, not 16 inch alloy wheels.

I will once I have one loaded. If this one lasts long enough, we'll tint it for sure!

Will you be doing a night time video? so we can see the lights?? Thanks!!!
Looks so good from the front it has a great aggressive look to it but they should have just kept it going through the whole car it would've been great
Do you come with the car? You're dreamy ☺
It has 17 inch wheels. You stated 16 inch.
it looks great cant wait !
Looks a lot better in person.
nice car, can you show also the sound quality and what are the speakers brand?
not really feeling the back end. hopefully the si and type r won't look ugly also
How's the sound system?
How much is it? Love the new design. It now looks like a little accord. Great video by the way keep it up.
+Christian Betancourt I think it's around $27,000 with destination charge I believe!
+GBraidi78 i know this is old. but the same one at my dealer is at 23,xxx

This Civic made the ILX and even the TLX look very dated.
well done video thank you you get 10 out of 10
awesome video!

the stitching area above the storage at the passenger side, is it real leather or hard plastic with stitching effect?
You are a genius, great video
hi Edward, how much does it cost this model of the honda civic 2016 touring? and when is going to sell in México?
Looks nice!!! Just wondering does the touring have reverse parking sensors?
I know you are a sales person but it is not hard to make the Civic better. The last Gen flopped and fell way behind competition. Yes it was reliable and fuel efficient but this looks to be much, much better than last gen.
Do you know if they will make a 6 spd transmission for the BEAST? but hell yea that civic is tight. The BEAST is finally out
+Angelo de la Rosa They havent yet. I think theyre reserving that for the si
+Angelo de la Rosa The only 6 speeds are on the 2.0 lx
+Edward Tomilloso (Your Honda Man) cool thanks Edward
can you do a pov test drive please!!
+Andres Santana Thanks for the suggestion. will do
+Edward Tomilloso (Your Honda Man) Thank you! :)
+Andres Santana where does she live?
Edward Tomilloso well we all live in southern California
so where can we get parts? i got the EX model, but want to upgrade the headlights... I am new to Hondas. :)
It is nice video but tell me is it longer than honda cìty..
Planning on buying one this week , wich color is that one? Looks pretty nice.
Just heard which color is, thank you, amazing videos. :D
you need to show a test drive review
+Denis McDonald Good idea. I will
Good Stuff. Another YT Reviewer showed that the car had Qi wireless charging. Is this true? I didn't see that feature listed.
I think that's a Canada version
Are these available yet? I haven't really seen any around.
Does it have an SD card slot for me to download music onto the car?
Only reason to get a 10th gen is All-Led headlights!
Is it possible to order rims that goes on the touring for my ex?
may I know when its launch in middle east .
I like it!!!! But...........lol in a darker color this one is nice.
+rig48 I HAVE HATED BLACK CARS MY WHOLE LIFE BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS SHOW DUST DIRT AND FOR THE FIRST TIME I BOUGHT A BLACK 2016 CIVIC BECAUSE THIS CAR IN BLACK WAS LIKE THE BEST COLOR EVER!!!
tire says they are 17 inch wheels
does the remote starter comes standard on EX-T?
Yes it does
Does it take premium or 87 gas?
87 tuned
It looks gorgeous in red!
They got 17 inch alloys or 16 i heard 17
You're right 17s I made a mistake
Needs heated steering wheel and lumbar support.
17 inch wheels not 16:)
You're right 17s I made a mistake thanks
Drive the pants off it. !!! At least take it for a drive . Demonstrate the adaptive cruise control and the lane thingy and the navi . Thats what I would like to see.
I'd buy it.
Why the hell not?
looks like a typical German car.

It is nice video but tell me is it longer than honda cìty..
