Just basic chemistry dictates that Diesel is a better source of power, just seems that memo never reached the larger manufacturers. At least Gale seems to have listened in chemistry class and the world is a better place because of it.
@Harry Balls Gasoline has an energy density of 33,867 megajoules per meter cubed. Diesel has an energy density of 37,184 mj/m3. With decently high combustion temperatures the particle emissions are not greater than gasoline and technology already exists to make emissions just as good as gasoline, see forestry and farming equipment bound to new emission standards more strict than road cars. Diesel requiring no spark means engines are far simpler in design and thus technically cheaper to manufacturer and service. Reason for diesel being widely used in most commercial vehicles. As well as diesel being easier to produce as a fuel requiring less energy to refine.

Would have been wild seeing a 6.2 or 6.5 with a offset belt driven supercharger not on top of the engine. The Duramax is awesome and I sure enjoy seeing these builds but consider a K5 with a 6.2 or 6.5 and low mount charger for the ones with the M1009 or M1008 that want to use Humvee center turbo heads without having firewall clearance issues.

Funny thing is, I've been working on something like this for more than a decade. Limited budget makes things slow to develope. When I started, everyone told me that it's not possible. Ticks me off that I get so close but someone with disposable income beatse to proving it will....
That's ok though, I have something else that nobody knows about yet, I should rob a bank to pay for finishing it that way nobody beats me to the other half, and the other half is going to change the industry.

A lot of people just won't be able to understand how a diesel can put out that kind of horsepower and throttle response without ROLLING COAL and even be smog legal.

I would wish Banks would work with Audi engines... if they can do this with a GM engine would could you do with a proper DOHC 3 Liter V6 Diesel. Or even better the V8s? And they are small enough and light enough to build them into decent cars, they can brake and handle...

Naw, they're works of art. Sometimes, works of art are worth more, sometimes less.
Either way, people have put good money into these things. And their hearts and souls.
Not every man wants a toothpick, or a pear. But they're both good things, for the right person.
Im a huge S10 guy, would be nice to have seen atleast one there. I see them less and less... I love full size trucks but that's all I ever see anymore and it gets boring. It would be nice to see more s10's and Luv trucks.
