The misdirection of the little kid postman character at the start huffing 'n puffing and shouting "wait!" as if he was actually trying to get the letter, only to end up being that way cause he's being WRESTLED to do so, is masterful, and truly makes this an experience.
Man that scene when Blackbeard reprimands Stede is really intense. For a movie made from royalty free google images for comedic purposes, that scene was really well written and executed.
"Sir, we've uncovered Stede's location" "Good, let's prepare an attack" "There's just one problem" "And what would that be?" "You see, Stede is apparently sailing in the indian sea right now" "Wha- how?" "And less than 24 hours ago he was sailing in Antarctica"
At first, I was fully believed this is nothing more than a piece of comedy, but after a few google searches, I must say: HOLY SHIT IM STUNNED BY HOW ACCURATE THIS VID IS TO ACTUAL HISTORY.
Let this be a lesson to all who wish to become a pirate. Pirating isn't all about sailing and booty, but sometimes it's about the matey's we make along the way.
Blackbeards character is voiced INCREDIBLY well here, and his dialogue is just as good. I genuinely felt he was a badass that I was slightly afraid of, and not a character in an Internet Historian video whenever he spoke.
I may have missed something, but I’m curious as to how Bonnet found out his crew was marooned on the sandbar. What, did Blackbeard just leave a note on the Revenge that said “your princess is in another castle”? How did he know that they didn’t just go with Blackbeard?
There's a specific sandbar that the pirate community collectively agreed to abandon their crews at. It was so that any captain in need of more men could check there for abandoned men
I'd love to see a Hollywood movie where the story ends with all the plot development leading to the main antagonist getting killed offscreen and the main protagonist getting abruptly hanged for some unrelated misdemeanor.

Can I take a moment and say that I wish I had someone like the quartermaster at my side? The guy was flat-out the most patient, understanding, experienced and literally amazing person ever.
